I'm sure I missed things while filming, so please let me know your thoughts in the comments! What did you like, what didn't you like? Which books are you voting for? And which books do you think should be on the lists this year? And thank you so much if you've stayed to watch ❤ appreciate you so much
i think romance category was probably the easiest to predict for cos it's the same players each year usually. i find it funny how we both were surprised by the 4 books not on our lists
Yep I pretty much just grabbed the newest books from the authors who had books on the list last year 😅 list complete lol I’ll aim for 100% for romance next year haha
Reading orbital right now and really loving it, pretty sure i'll be voting it for scifi! I voted for how to solve your own murder for mystery/thriller and a banh mi for two for young adult fiction.
oooh i'm not a scifi girl usually, but i'll keep that one in mind if i ever get in the mood. i'm interested in reading how to solve your own murder and a banh mi for two!! good to know they got your votes!
Definitely recommend The Honey Witch, I'm half done but it's very cozy and saphic and yeah there's magic but it's not like Lord of the Rings, Dungeons and Dragons type nonsense.
Not “nonsense” 😂😂 I’m dead But I did have that one on a list I gave to my mum when she was Christmas shopping and asked for books I’m interested in, so if she picked this one I will read it 😅
I voted for Here One Moment! I thought it was fantastic! In thriller category, I voted Home is Where the Bodies Are. I loved it and the cover was so cool! Audio Books I voted listen for the Lie. Then in memoir, The manicurist Daughter. I don't read in the other categories so I didn't vote in those. I agree with you! I didn't like Middle of the Night. It was boring! By the way, I just found your channel and I'm so glad I did!
Oooh, Big Little Lies is my all time favourite book, but I’ve not loved anything else by Liane Moriarty, so that’s good to know you enjoyed her recent book! Oh I think I had the Manicurist Daughter in my anticipated releases at the beginning of the year but never read it. Thank you so much ❤️ glad you’re here 🥰

Audiobook?!? That’s wild. They need to bring back the graphic novel category.
Yes!! I also miss the graphic novel category! 😭
It always amazes me how correctly you are able to predict genres that you don't even consume that much 😅 it's a skill, definitely!
Hahaha thank you, i did my best 😅
Next year I’m aiming for a higher success rate overall though
storygraph mentionned!!
Storygraph is truly superior to goodreads in every way 😅
@@SharniandBooks oh 100% haha i love it so much im glad its becoming more and more popular!
love this!!
this is such a compliment coming from the queen of goodreads choice award content!! 🥰
I agree with you, there should only be 1 for each author
right?!! i know it's just a popularity contest, but it's no fun if one author is taking up multiple spots.
NEW SHARNI CONTENT HELL YEAH

"if you even remember me" how could we forget bro 😭
I dunno, people have short attention spans now 😅
