It took quite a bit of time for me to get my stick and unit calibrated. This video by far was one of the more easier to follow. I agree that the USB can be finicky, as I cursed and stormed around trying to my units to register on my PC. I think I have it calibrated now. I will look for tutorials on the the controller settings. Im nervous as a hooker in church about flying it for the first time, but I got it use. Thanks for the clear and concise tutorial brother!
I do not have a phantom but it is on my wishlist. This video has to be the most informative that I've found thus far. I've done a lot of research (A LOT) on the P2 Vision Plus. Thank you!!!
One of the best instructional videos I have seen on UA-cam. I had a Phantom 3 Standard for a while but sold it and recently purchased a refurb Phantom 2 to install my own camera / fpv system on. Since the procedures are totally different on the Phantom 3S, this is extremely helpful...thanks!
This is a great video, thanks for putting it together. I watched it after receiving my P2V+3.0. One edit I implore you to make in it is, "As long as you are experiencing stable flight, do NOT attempt any IMU calibration." If the flight controller inside your Phantom is not completely level, or you have any type of magnetic interference, your Phantom may never correctly fly again without going through a lot of trouble or sending it back for repair. Thanks very much.
I hear what your saying. Checking your IMU values is a good idea and should be done on a flat surface away from electrical and magnetic interference. As long as you do this its ok to calibrate as often as you want.
One of the best tutorials on this subject I have found. Very easy to follow and unlike some others, your audio is excellent (no mumbling, thanks). Superb. Thanks for taking your time to do the Tutorial.
I've been looking for this kind of tutorial for a week since I bought my Phantom 2 Vision Plus. You are the only one !!!! This video is... great!!!! Thank you very much>
Just wanted to thank you guys publicly for helping me with my unit's tipping over on takeoff problem. To date I've heard NOTHING back from the email I sent to the company's American HQ. I also tried calling them and was disconnected after about 10 minutes on hold. IMHO not a very service friendly company. To recap Marioville Multirotors responded to a question I posed to them via email and I'm not even in the UK!! Thanks again to Ricc.
Thank you for the nice comment. There are a few DJI dealers who are simply box shifters and that have no interest in backup of the products. I'm a family run business established 40 years and we know customer service is key to being around for another 40years.
This sport has given me some of the best times that I've had in the last several years up against a host of many diseases all very painful and debilitating and I just can't say enough for the entire organization of MMA and UFCA
It's not very often you see sellers / model shops making videos anymore, well done and very descriptive.. I'll certainly consider buying from you :) Subscribed.
Your videos are so helpful, thank you. I wish I had found your shop before buying my Phantom 2 - the optional extras are a good suggestion and even with an extra battery and props in my basket it worked out cheaper than my Phantom 2. I will be coming back soon to buy props and a carry case.
I bought this P2+H3-3D from Kellards thru Amazon on June 26, 2014. It also has Hero 3+ Black camera. Yesterday, I added DJI FPV hub, iOSD mini, AVL 58. Every thing works except that: Remote controller is not calibrating X1 correctly. In PhantomRC MAC software, X1 stays towards the center of the range (not moving -1000 to +1000) around -61 to + 320. Moving X1 changes camera from straight facing forward to 90 degrees down. Slightest touch on X1 causes camera to move between 0 and 90 degrees, camera does not stop anywhere in between these two extremes. I have tried 1) Calibrate Remote in PhontomRC 2) Calibrate again in PT2 software. 3)Also tried gimbal basic and advanced calibration as well. In this order. Still X1 is not working correctly.
This is very good information and well presented. You may want to share this video with the phantom pilots forum as well. I am sure many members there will find it useful too.
There's something I would like to mention here which is pretty important, but seemingly not openly shown on the web. It however seems to be a common problem with people when installing their Phantom software. I had this issue myself and could not find a solution easily. I resolved my issue by chance in the end. That issue was with the WIN Installer software. What I believe you should do is download and install the controller software and the craft software. There are separate programs for the controller and craft, yes. Then what I believe you should do is download the WIN Installer and run it. During installation, it should say something like 'Plug your MC into the PC' What you should do at this moment, is plug in your controller to your computer. If I remember correctly, you can press 'OK' when this message appears and it will continue it's installation. But then you may have the problem I had. I thought I'd mention it here as A) I bought my craft from Marionville Models and B) This video came up as a suggestion via Google when I was searching for a solution to my problem. Hope this helps!
No worries :) You may have even covered it here. I just decided to write that, in case someone was having an issue and frantically searching the web. I know that when I had the issue with mine, I didn't want to watch any videos, lol.
This is indeed very informative and it will help you keep your transmitter and Phantom unit in top flying condition. I do have a question: If I change my video cam into a Go Pro 4, will the wi-fi range extender work on the Go Pro?
thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial. i learnt something easy way watching your video that i did not understand from the manual. i just have a quick question that when i was updating the software my gimbal motor was so hot, is this normal for this. please help..
Hi there! Great video. I had a question. I ordered a refurbished Phantom and just figured out that I received a Phantom 2 Vision Plus - Minus the camera system. So my question is can I modify this unit for other gimbal systems?
thx for video I just bought the Plus and have read some pilots have not done this and lose control and which what they think is failsafe but is actually manual mode and have crashed on there first flight. So I did not want to make that same mistake even i'm an season pilot a little rusty but will use the Phantom Plus for video and photos only and use my Naza F450 for sports flying the F450 frame is more durable and not easily broken. Once again thanks for the information
If you are new, look for vides like yours or others because if crash the of the Phantom is not made to handle medium recks(falling 10' on sidewalk crashes) like the Naza flamewheel is. So in my opinion do your home work and alway intialize failsafe because if you lose sight or control a flip of the switch can save buyers a lot of money
Very informative video, well done. I wonder if you can answer this question for me? I don't have an ipad, iphone or android, no mobile at all, but I have a notebook with bluetooth, will this be ok for live video & cam control?
great video! thanks for posting this. i bought a P2V+ and after about a half-dozen flights the camera gimbal malfunctioned and now the camera is tilted about 15-20 degrees. the gimbal is functioning but it doesn't maintain the camera perfectly horizontal but rather qat this constant tilt angle. i've done the latest firmware and siftware upgrades and still no improvement. needless to say the tilted videos are not good. i went on a discussion forum and many others have had this problem. would you have any tips suggestions for fixing this? i'm in mexico so sending it back to the store in NYC where it was purchased is not a great option for me.
Thanks for a great video. I updated both the RC and Phantom 2 software no problem, all steps went fine until I got to 6.00 where you calibrate the transmitter to the Phantom. My sticks don't respond when I move them so when I click 'Finish' they are all to the right of the slider and black, not green, even though they calibrated fine in the previous step. I only have one USB cable that came with the Phantom and although I have one similar from something else with same size plug it doesn't want to plug in properly, extremely tight ... do you need to have the Phantom and the RC both plugged into the computer during the whole process? When I got to the 2nd stick calibration I unplugged the Phantom (but left on) and plugged in the RC ... could this be the problem? I'm wanting to continue and switch to Naza mode. Can't find any posts on either DJI site or elsewhere that says what to do if sticks not responding. Thanks.
re when advanced re cal , if you dont wait for the ( wait too hot ) it will not complete the cycle .... turn off .. wait 15 mins .. then recal the compass this worked for me .... took me all frigging day to work this out ..
Just got my Phantom V2+ today. I am going to fly in Naza mode but am curious about a couple things. Do you still use the S1 switch 5x to get into calibration mode. I know that when in Naza the S1 has other functions. and 2.) In Naza mode with both S1 and S2 all the way up - does the unit behave just like in Phantom mode (GPS mode) ?
fantastic tutorial, do you know way my wireless sometime its loosing the tempo and gives me a image with 1-2 seconds delay???(I have the last software version!!!)(PHANTOM VISION PLUS)
I down loaded the RC software 1.1. I do not have the stick mode and compliance mode option?? Only the stick mode1 far left mode 2 far right. Do I have the latest software?
Hi Rick. Great videos by the way. I have just bought a vision 2 + and its seems there is no power to the gimble. Camera hangs limp and the fone app show a red light on the right side of the camera control. Any suggestions apart from sending it back. Everything is calibrated and it flies well, just camera tilted to one side with no gimble control
I did see a check box under the NASAM assistant software, but I don't have the NASAM controller in my PT2 drone and I can't get the NASAM assistant software to connect to my drone?
Thanks for the video. You plugged in the phantom to the computer, but then left the micro USB cable from the controller unconnected?? Where do you connect the controller to?
Great video, thank you.......do you have tutorial on the LED patterns when using Naza mode? I understand that if I change the patterns are different irrespective of IOC switch being off.
Marionville Multirotors I downloaded assistance software for phantom vision plus v3 and the computer will not read the connection. I uninstall the software and reinstall and it still won't connect please help
Great video. I have one question for now. The CE and FCC switch changed the range dramatically. Other than legislation is there any reason you can't run on the FCC mode in the UK to give you the extra range?
just opened up my vision plus and started to calibrate following this video. when I get to the imu calibration, does the remote control need to be on? for some reason the "basic cal" and "check imu status" buttons are greyed out, and the imu status says "idle". any ideas? the advanced calibration seems to have failed on the first run. trying again now...
Adam B. Chertok I am having the exact same problem...did you manage to resolve this?? If you did would you be kind enough to share, I would really appreciate it...thank you.
Thanks for creating this great video. One question to the failsafe / coming home: the copter goes up to 20m or goes up +20m from the point where it looses contact? If it looses contact at a altitude of 80 m, will it go DOWN by 60m...?
If control signal is lost below 20m it will rise to 20m then fly to above your home point, wait for about 15 seconds then descend. If control signal is lost above 20m it will stay at whatever altitude it was at when it lost the signal as it flies to above your home point, wait for about 15 seconds then descend. However, I recommend that you alter the fly home altitude. You can do that using the assistant software . I recommend a height of at least 35m.
Rick. Genius.........thanks for the videos. VERY helpful. Am a fellow Scot out here in the US and flying the newest vision plus. Loving it. Question: With your help, managed to switch to Nazza mode, had a great flight. Switched back to GPS mode to land, rear LED lights went back to green, looked good. Anyway, it's pretty tight where I take off and land from. Wasn't paying too much attention as it was in GPS mode and the copter just kinda drifted, hit a wall and a totally fooked a few props. My mistake I know because I could've corrected it ? .......but is there anything I can do to 'tighten up' how it flies in GPS mode ?
Not so good with the crash. Sometimes the satellites can drop out and cause drifting. Always worth checking the Solar forecast as the can cause GPS dropout.
Hi. I enjoy your videos, and use them for training :) On my vision2+ I have gotten the camera out of aligment. It is not level when the phantom is level. Is there any calibration procedure for setting the aligment ? Thanks.
There is no adjustment for the horizontal on the gimbal but what your an try is, get a compass and find north, point your phantom in the north direction and turn on this sometimes works.
hello Erik, perhaps you can help. I'm considering purchasing PV2+… doing research to better understand pitfalls… seems you've experienced a dandy… how did the camera misalignment happen? were you able to remedy situation? how has this impacted your PV2+ experience? thank you. best wishes, Manuel
Hi. Its a greate product, but it the gimbal is not as top as the rest. There is a common problem for the gimbal to be out of alignment. A simple calbration possibility in the software would have solved it, buit it is not there. The only solution to day is to buy a 700 $ replacement camera and gimbal if you do not want to open the unit yourselves.
Hi. This video helped me immensely. I have a bit of a problem though. On my 2+ It looks like my cameral/gimbal doesn't go exactly 90degrees down or 90degrees horizontal. It stops just a little before pointing straight down. This isn't a huge problem but I use it for mapping archaeoligical sites and it's important to be straight down. Can you adjust this in Assistant? I found that if you open assistant without connecting the phantom, there is a tab for Gimbal in Advanced, but when I plug in the phantom this option disappears. Why? Am I doing something wrong?
The Phantom 2 and Vision + use the same assistant but when you plug in your Phantom features specific to your model will appear or disappear. The gimbal features are for the ZenmusevH3-3D
Good morning. First of all, excellent videos, very informative & useful. However, my issue is cannot seem to pair my smart phone with the range extender & drone. I can see it when my phone scans for WiFi but it will not connect. Please help...!
Marionville Multirotors I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 w/AT&T. When I attempt to pair it I can see the Range Extender as my phone scans for WiFi signals but when I select Phantom_xxxx on my phone, it tries to obtain the ip address & link to it but then drops it & says the signal is too weak.
Thanks for the response. That makes sense. Is there a way to get my camera to point straight down though? I can't remember if this is the way it came straight out of the box or if it got this way because I left the gimbal guard on briefly after I turned it on. Any other suggestions?
I manually calibrated the transmitter with-out using the assistant software. My assistant software does indicate now that my Gimbal switch is ON so that is a step in the good direction. When I do the full start up procedure the gimbal does respond to my gimbal control dial but every second it jump left to right and the camera keeps pointing downward. I'm just trying to determine if I need a new gimbal. Is there a way for me to test the gimbal without having it connected to the phantom?
Make sure you have calibrated the controller in the RC Assistant software first and then again with them Phantom connected to your PC, recalibrate the controller again. Make sure you calibrate to X1 channel ( roller wheel for gimbal)
I have a phantom 2 model P330Z with a Zenmuse H3-3D Gimbal and DJI model DJ6 controller. I am unable to fire up, when I press the battery button, I get the 4 grene lights, and hold the second push, the lights just stay green for a few seconds. I have tried to connect to the software, plug in the micro usb, and I hear a sound on my computer, but that is it, red or blue light on the software don't light up....
When I connect either my phantom 2 vision plus or the controller I get an error beep. The software version is the same as in the video. I've tried connecting when both on and off. It does the lower pitch "beep beep beep" noise. I've even tried different USB cords to no avail.
I cant perform the basic calibration as the status is in idle mode. However in advance mode the status is ready. Please advise me what is happening or what should i do. I have not flown my phantom before as i want to make sure all calibration is done properly.
I had a crash, and my h3-d3 is not working properly. I have updated and reset the gimbal softwear. On my main window of the PT2 assistant software under gimbal it reads : "Gimbal with:off" how do I turn it on?
Hi, I am Ryu. Would you please help me? My Phantom2 vision plus have a problem. Today, when I turned on it, the gimbal was turning right left wherever it want to move. Do you know the reason? Please help me.
This message is for father and son flying. I'm using iphone to reply and I does not give me the option to reply direct to your message. Yes I am turning it on, I've tried having it on before I launch the application which didn't work, I've tried turn it on after I launch the assistant which didn't work. I've also tried having every thing powered up including the app on my iphone in camera mode then when I connect it to my laptop the camera on my iphone goes black and a message comes up says USB to pc . This still didn't work. My controller connect to the ex assistant . Any ideas would be great thanks
Great video but my assistant screen on compass calibration is greyed out and stays in idle Staus, so my check imu status and my basic cali button are grey. Here are the conditions, i have drone powered on, controller powered on, i have calibrated compass, connected wifi with drone, Indoor though, Is because indoors? cannot get it to switch to ready, stays in idle, and my boxes are not in the range that you recommend, i do not want a fly away. It does not look like you are out doors....i have updated all firmware. completely stumped.
You can do all your IMU calibrations indoors no problem. Usually when the calibration buttons are greyed out its because the IMU is still warming up but they should be clickable after 30 seconds or so.
After I took out and flew the drone, I came back and hooked it up again, and it was there, they were not greyed out, I was still not over 1500 but more like 1439 at the end, but the drone flew flawlessly! On a completely different note, the new dial on the upgraded 3. O remote control was not working when I was flying the drone , and used it to try to control the camera it cause the camera to be very unstable, hard to explain but it was not acting right. not sure if you want to do another video on calibrating the upgraded controller, but i just for the heck of it after moving the main sticks in circles moved the silver controller for the camera up and down during calibration. Voila, now it works perfect when I'm flying, in fact it works perfect while I was just sitting at my desk , so bottom line not only do the main sticks have to be calibrated so does that silver dial. Thanks for your reply!
I DID NOT experience any of the possible scenarios you spoke of in your HARD RESET video. No power failure during upgrade, no USB cable removal, no power failure in the computer. Are there any other less dangerous ways to go about this? I haven't even flown this thing yet.
I am considering switching to Naza m mode on my new phantom vision. I did that on my phantom fc 40 with no problem. However, I want to know if Naza m will affect the vision app or the ground station performance? I do like home lock and course lock modes. Thank you. Steve Walker Indianapolis,Indiana
Hi, my phantom vision plus will not complete the advanced calibration, it has never been crashed but on Saturday when I hooked it up to my pc it asked me to advance calibre. It used up two full batteries but is still not complete. I am now afraid to fly it incase of a flyaway. It wil start up as normal and gives normal flashing green gps lock lights. Is it safe to fly? Cheers, Brian
hello Need some advice I own a DJI phantom 2 Vision Plus drone but no able to use the Ground station app in DJI Vision apps using my Iphone I do th compass calibration but the problem is my Present location on the Map not seem correct position it been offset a little far from my present location I set my Dynamic Home point enable but still the present location is offset far to my present location ,what seem to be the problem i do not know may you can give me some advice how to do with this
HELP! Im going away tomorrow and i flew my Phantom 2 yesterday and almost had a fly away. I need to connect it to my PC but i have tried everything i have all of the programs i have the drivers ive unistalled and reinstalled everything many times but nothing. When i plug is it it recognises theres a connection but say unknown connection. thanks
Why can't I find the {turn on check box of the gimbal} I'm on the V3.8 latest version of assistant software and I'm looking at the main view page, or on the
I have a question if you don't mind. I've noticed everyone using an ipod or android phone for fpv on the ground. Dji tells me you can use an ipad as well. Is this correct? What software would I install on the ipad to use as fpv instead of phones? Thank you!!!
Fello, thanks for you video, It helped me a lot with the set up of my new DJI Pahntom vision 2 plus. However I have a question. I got an extra battery for my drone, one turno on as per normal but the second one once I put the sticks down the LED light flashes 4 times red light and it doesn't turn it on at all. What it could be?
Do you know or have you hear about the Vision Plus having difficulty obtaining GPS/Satellites? I received mine a week ago and I am having a great deal of trouble establishing more than 4 or 5 Sats. I may get 6 or 7 but they quickly disappear, going back to 4. I also have a Vision 2, and have had NO problems grabing Satellites. Is there a correction for this issue eith the PLUS? Thank you
This is the best tutorial I have seen on the Phantom / RC Assistant and Naza-M mode.

Amazing resource for beginners before 1st flight. Lowers blood pressure and anxiety. Builds mental fitness for maiden flight.
Absolutely makes more sense about NAZA mode then the dry instruction manual. Great info. Thanx

Yes there not many of us about now but we do our best to move with the times.
Always something new to learn!! Thanks for the video, though I had Naza in place, I did not know how to engage the failsafe mode.
Thanks again!
Your videos are so helpful, thank you.
I wish I had found your shop before buying my Phantom 2 - the optional extras are a good suggestion and even with an extra battery and props in my basket it worked out cheaper than my Phantom 2.
I will be coming back soon to buy props and a carry case.
Thanks for your feed back and support.
This was very helpful. Thank you for doing what DJI didn't do, meaning make a video to explain the calibration process.

Excellent. You might want to include the necessity of installing drivers or the Assistant will not work. Thanks for publishing all of the info you do.
Really nice tutorial! Thank you so much for clearly walking us through the software and programming. Made things much easier and more understandable.
Great Video - Wish I had this resource! If you leave the Gimbal lock in place the gimbal will heat up pretty fast.
Update on my previous question - figured it out, just had to unplug from the RC and plug back into the Phantom ...
Great explanation about this Phantom : Great work ! - Not even the factory have made movies like this so THANKS A LOT FOR THIS PAGE :
This is very good information and well presented. You may want to share this video with the phantom pilots forum as well. I am sure many members there will find it useful too.
Thanks for the comments. I hadn't though about sharing it on the Phantom pilots forum.
Bloody Good Video! Wish DJI would offer this to its customers!
BIG THANKS FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE FROM TEXAS, USA!
Great video instruction - If I lived in the UK I would buy from you!
Great tutorial. Thanks for taking the time to do this. Greatly appreciated

Yes. You have to plug the controller into the PC when it says that :)
Very informative and easy to follow video! Thanks for the assistance
This was the information that I was looking for....Perfect
This is indeed very informative and it will help you keep your transmitter and Phantom unit in top flying condition. I do have a question: If I change my video cam into a Go Pro 4, will the wi-fi range extender work on the Go Pro?
Sadly no. The gopro wifi has a fair bit of lag so wouldn't be ideal for fpv.
Thank you so much !! Really helpfull and informative video on Assistant Software settings.
Getting my Phantom 2 tomorrow

thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial. i learnt something easy way watching your video that i did not understand from the manual. i just have a quick question that when i was updating the software my gimbal motor was so hot, is this normal for this. please help..
They do get hot but not so hot you can't touch the motor.
Thank you this was really helpful for setting up my Phantom.
Thanks a lot buddy. You answered a lot of my questions in 15 mins!
Best tutorial ever! Please do more about flying tips and more! :)
Hi there! Great video. I had a question. I ordered a refurbished Phantom and just figured out that I received a Phantom 2 Vision Plus - Minus the camera system. So my question is can I modify this unit for other gimbal systems?
Thank you for info ,highly recommended..
How do you set a data link to a Phatom Vision + to do the ground station flight type?
Very useful videos mate. Thank you!
Thanks for an excellent video. I would like to know if It's possible to adjust the return home altitude?
As far as I know your cant
Very Very well done nicely explained clear and concise .. I understand a lot more now Thank You
Thank you for the help. Very simple and handy video

You are correct. Technically they should fly from the box but ideally need to be calibrated and firmware updated before first flight.

As long as its got WIFi and runs android or IOS it would be fine.
great video! thanks for posting this.
i bought a P2V+ and after about a half-dozen flights the camera gimbal malfunctioned and now the camera is tilted about 15-20 degrees. the gimbal is functioning but it doesn't maintain the camera perfectly horizontal but rather qat this constant tilt angle.
i've done the latest firmware and siftware upgrades and still no improvement. needless to say the tilted videos are not good.
i went on a discussion forum and many others have had this problem. would you have any tips suggestions for fixing this? i'm in mexico so sending it back to the store in NYC where it was purchased is not a great option for me.
hey so did you get it fix cause i have the sme problem
I am wondering the same thing it just happened today any ideas on how to fix this ?
AB JUDAH i found this on a Phantom forum and it worked for me.

It will always say its to hot when in advanced calibration but click yes and proceed as normal.
This was super great and really helped me out big time
I down loaded the RC software 1.1. I do not have the stick mode and compliance mode option?? Only the stick mode1 far left mode 2 far right. Do I have the latest software?
For the Phantom2 you should have V3.2 assistant.
Great video. Well done.
Sounds like there is a cable unplugged. Remove the gimbal and check all three grey connectors and fully pushed in.
You don't need to connect the controller by a USB cable as it's connected by remote controller.
Great video, thank you.......do you have tutorial on the LED patterns when using Naza mode? I understand that if I change the patterns are different irrespective of IOC switch being off.
Yes they do change a bit, check the download instructions I'm sure its covered in there.
muchas gracias por compartir este tutorial, saludos desde Chile
Marionville Multirotors I downloaded assistance software for phantom vision plus v3 and the computer will not read the connection. I uninstall the software and reinstall and it still won't connect please help
Make sure you have the assistant installer driver downloaded.
Great video. I have one question for now. The CE and FCC switch changed the range dramatically. Other than legislation is there any reason you can't run on the FCC mode in the UK to give you the extra range?
There's no reason you can't.
just opened up my vision plus and started to calibrate following this video. when I get to the imu calibration, does the remote control need to be on? for some reason the "basic cal" and "check imu status" buttons are greyed out, and the imu status says "idle". any ideas? the advanced calibration seems to have failed on the first run. trying again now...
Yes, it's always good to turn on the Tx before turning on the craft. Also, are your values within range? Hover over the little question mark to see.
It will go home first at the higher altitude then descend at the home point.
Thank you for the excellent video. This was very helpful!
Thanks.
There is no adjustment for the horizontal on the gimbal but what your an try is, get a compass and find north, point your phantom in the north direction and turn on this sometimes works.
hello Erik,
perhaps you can help.
I'm considering purchasing PV2+…
doing research to better understand pitfalls…
seems you've experienced a dandy…
how did the camera misalignment happen?
were you able to remedy situation?
how has this impacted your PV2+ experience?
thank you.
best wishes,
Manuel
Hello, I have a Phantom 2 plus vision.
I'm from Belgium and I have a question.
Can I put the camera from NTSC to PAL?
Thank you.
You're the Man. Best Video Yet. Preciate your help!
Thanks very much, great video very helpful for my first set up
Great video. Do you always have to do the calibrations when you get a new phantom.
I would strongly recommend you do.
What kind of smart phone do you have and what happens when you try to pair it?
Marionville Multirotors
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 w/AT&T.
When I attempt to pair it I can see the Range Extender as my phone scans for WiFi signals but when I select Phantom_xxxx on my phone, it tries to obtain the ip address & link to it but then drops it & says the signal is too weak.
Not an issue I've had, have you tried an apple device to check if its the same.
Thanks for the response. That makes sense. Is there a way to get my camera to point straight down though? I can't remember if this is the way it came straight out of the box or if it got this way because I left the gimbal guard on briefly after I turned it on. Any other suggestions?
It should still look down.
Great video! tons of help, thanks.
Excellent tutorial! Thanks
I had a crash, and my h3-d3 is not working properly. I have updated and reset the gimbal softwear. On my main window of the PT2 assistant software under gimbal it reads : "Gimbal with:off" how do I turn it on?
Is this under the Gimbal tab or are you in the Firmware update section.
What is the "unused" (Silver) connector that is on the Range Extender?
Hi, I am Ryu.
Would you please help me?
My Phantom2 vision plus have a problem.
Today, when I turned on it, the gimbal was turning right left wherever it want to move.
Do you know the reason?
Please help me.
Yes that is correct. When you move the left yaw stick the camera should move.
Any ideas would be great thanks
how to know what version of the Phantom you have ? if it's a V3 ? i currently own a Phantom 2 with a h3-3d gimbal but i'm new to this. HELP PLEASE ?
always looking for decent price on a gimble for my Phantom 2v 2.0- wired for zenmuse gimble presently.
Excellent tutorial!
Great tutorial , probably the best out there . Thanks alot ;)
If you haven't experienced any of the mentioned issues you are good to go.
Won't affect the app in any way. If you have had a Phantom1 I would go for it.
Hi Rick, Do you have to fly your phantom in compliance mode CE or can you use FCC in England. I only ask as you get a better range on FCC.
It's upto you but ffc will give you better range.
Cheers, Brian
just got mine (v3) a couples days ago, haven't setting it up yet. One question, why changing to Naza M?...
Changing to Naza will give you more advanced flight features such at ATT and course lock.
hello Need some advice I own a DJI phantom 2 Vision Plus drone but no able to use the Ground station app in DJI Vision apps using my Iphone I do th compass calibration but the problem is my Present location on the Map not seem correct position it been offset a little far from my present location I set my Dynamic Home point enable but still the present location is offset far to my present location ,what seem to be the problem i do not know may you can give me some advice how to do with this
HELP! Im going away tomorrow and i flew my Phantom 2 yesterday and almost had a fly away. I need to connect it to my PC but i have tried everything i have all of the programs i have the drivers ive unistalled and reinstalled everything many times but nothing. When i plug is it it recognises theres a connection but say unknown connection. thanks
Why can't I find the {turn on check box of the gimbal}
I'm on the V3.8 latest version of assistant software and I'm looking at the main view page, or on the
It was removed a while ago.
I have a question if you don't mind. I've noticed everyone using an ipod or android phone for fpv on the ground. Dji tells me you can use an ipad as well. Is this correct? What software would I install on the ipad to use as fpv instead of phones? Thank you!!!
Yes you can but your simply using an iPhone app on the ipad so the resolution is a little stretched.
What a great video video thanks so much
very interesting. where do you get the dji program for your pc? should I have got a disk with it?
You download it from the DJI website under the download link on the product page.
If you push and hold for five seconds the on button on the battery it will check the battery. You should get four green lights.
Ok, I will try. Thanks for the tip Marionville
Thank you
My transmitter won't calibrate. Ce calibration button stays inactive. Cursors won't move either.
Please help me i bought it and i have problem on the gimbal i think all the pictures im taking are rotated a lil bit to the left what should i do
Try updating to the latest V3.04 firmware. I had an H3-3D gimbal with the same problem and this cured it.
