I know she's probably disappointed, but let's just bow down to the fact that this incredible woman was in the ER with kidney stones, and she couldn't take any pain medications! The fact that she competed at all is amazing.
She gets soooooo mad whenever she messes up. Even though she's still scoring very well for the non-Simone division. I guess that perfectionism is part of what makes her the GOAT.
Simone is great but I miss the Shannon Miller bean routine in the 1992 olympics. Back HS to three layouts. That’s the shit. Simone could totally rock that.
OTHER NATIONS HAD TO ABSORB A SCORE LIKE THIS TOO AND IT'S NOT ALL THAT BAD OF A SCORE WITH THIS WEIRD SCORING SYSTEM... BUT SIMONE ISN'T USE TO THIS SCORE IM SURE.
Finally, u know, i'm brazilian, but it's ironic how people are shocked that the americans get scores like "13.733". It's like a normal score if we're gonna look into the past code. And, hey, they won, didn't they?? How can people complain?? My country was terrible, got 7th place, and it's never able to compete well in the TF. Really?? I don't get why people are usually never satisfied...
Victor GS I think you kind of answered yourself. The US, Russia and other top teams tend to expect higher scores and rankings, so when it doesn’t happen we get surprised since it’s different (and some get angry lol). Also, I can’t speak for other countries, but we Americans tend to love sports and are competitive, and we get passionate about it :) Go watch some clips of NFL fans and you’ll understand lol
@@omrianhussain4704 lol right. I think it was the 5th highest beam score in the entire final. If she'd done it in prelims she still would've qualified to the beam final.
She've been having problems with the pike front. I think she should replace it for a tuck front. The rest of the routine was awesome! She has improved on the artistry by the way. ❤❤❤
She's amazing to be competing after a kidney stone!! I wish someone to tell her to just take a breathe before each skill. As amazing as her beam is, it seems like she wants to rush through it. Sui lu and den Lin Lin are a great example of a beam worker. They preform difficult skills but take their time on the beam and I think that would help her a lot.
It's actually not. 2016 was a front tuck whereas 2018 is supposed to be a front pike. With her D score as high as it is, I would think they would change it from a front pike back to a tuck to alleviate the risk of another fall.
exactly what i have been asking myself (and if they awarded a piked tuck that should be a 6.5, so it is suppose to be 6.4 if they only awarded her front tuck (which should be the case since they did it in qual) she should have asked for an inquiry she would have scored 4 tenths higher for sure!!)
How the hell is her difficulty at 6.0 , she only missed the connection to the back pike, and she did not add the 2nd leap to her front arial so can someone explain that D-score for me pls?? Maybe if she made an inquiry she would have won...
Didn't she screw up the front pike in the balance beam final in Rio, causing her to fall behind Sanne Wevers and Laurie? Same thing where she fell forwarded and grasped the beam with both hands.
Maybe Simone should consider taking out the front pike. She had the same mistake in beam finals in Rio and the judges here have not counted it as a pike anyway. Since she already has a forward tumbling pass I’m sure she could rock something else with similar difficulty. I know it’s mostly consistent but when it’s at an important event sometimes it can be a bit inconsistent.
The girls are used to team mates cheering on all events- they do this in workouts as well- I think its more unsettling for them to be on beam and its dead silence or when she had the break on the front to hear the crowd gasp- that's what gets in their head- the team mates cheering brings back the focus and and makes it business as usual
Does it not bother the gymnasts to hear everyone yelling? Even if it’s positive? I find the whole “come on Simone” thing really distracting and can’t imagine what it’s like when you’re trying to actually do your routine!
So Mustafina and Kara have immaculate executions on beam and receive 8.000, then Biles has two medium wobbles and touches the beam and gets 7.700. How do you explain that.
Kara's ring elements accumulate more deductions than a fall on beam. Simone gets such high execution scores because her other elements are perfection, she has amazing amplitude, and great rhythm.
Kara gets heavily deducted on her ring positions. Often .3 for each one. She also does way too many skills just for connection bonus, thus opening herself up for more deductions for connection rhythm and the skills themselves. She also had a .3 balance check. Musty had significant pauses and hesitations on almost every skill. Medium wobbles are .3 and grabbing the beam is .5. That gets her to 8.9. They found another 1.2 off, which is in line with the execution of the rest of her set.
ok so she touched the beam, that's counted as a fall and thus -1pt, without it she would've gotten a 8,7 E score, which is ridiculous considreing that's the score you would get if everything looked perfect (of course than the judges deduct for all the mistakes we can't see); and that she had wobbles all over the routine, and that her split form is not the best....
Have you noticed how she becomes solid AF everytime she's mad with herself? 😂
Also that dismount was soooo high
It wasn't high. If it was so high, she won't make it.
I know she's probably disappointed, but let's just bow down to the fact that this incredible woman was in the ER with kidney stones, and she couldn't take any pain medications! The fact that she competed at all is amazing.
she will still sweep this apparatus in the all around and probably grab good in the individual
She is the queen that can make mistakes and win the all-around! ❤️
USA FINISHED 8.766 HIGHER THAN 2ND PLACE. AGAIN BREAKING RECORDS. LARGEST MARGIN IN HISTORY!!
Jhilton 70 completely astonishing when you take into account that this is a sport that 0.000 could make the difference between gold and silver
Such an amazing woman. Greetings from Belgium
Hi from Texas U.S.A.
Simone looked PISSED after putting her hands down on the front pike
She gets soooooo mad whenever she messes up. Even though she's still scoring very well for the non-Simone division. I guess that perfectionism is part of what makes her the GOAT.
Well yea I'd be too. She's the best but obviously she wants to keep it that way.
aw morgan said 'breathe' when she felll
julia and zoe - I didn’t even notice that! 😁
She didn't fall
Even with her not feeling well she did a great job! She pushed through her pain and stayed focus!❤
1:06 Damn Kidney stone!
Is it just me or were Simone and the beam not friends at all in Doha?
Of course she saves it!😍😍😍
This just proves she is not a machine. She needs to allow herself a mistake once in a while. She is still the best. Even with a mistake she wins.
Oof, that fall reminds me of the Olympic Final. On the same skill aswell!
Simone is great but I miss the Shannon Miller bean routine in the 1992 olympics. Back HS to three layouts. That’s the shit. Simone could totally rock that.
It has no CV to it. You can only repeat it once after already doing it. So doing a third LOSO would have no benefit.
She's so gorgeous love her!
OTHER NATIONS HAD TO ABSORB A SCORE LIKE THIS TOO AND IT'S NOT ALL THAT BAD OF A SCORE WITH THIS WEIRD SCORING SYSTEM... BUT SIMONE ISN'T USE TO THIS SCORE IM SURE.
What do you mean obsorb this still scored higher then most

@@victorguaracho9910 Brazil actually did quite well. I can tell that they're quickly becoming a threat to China. Just have to work on bars

It’s okay ! You rock !! You are awesome ! :)
We are all like: Wow. And she is like: Meehh
She've been having problems with the pike front. I think she should replace it for a tuck front. The rest of the routine was awesome! She has improved on the artistry by the way. ❤❤❤
she doesn't even need the front pike/tuck in her routine. she can just count the back pike (C) instead which has almost no deductions
Oh no, I can't believe she fell. She did seem a bit more nerves than normal for her. Just shake that one off Simone. You rock!

It seems like she takes a breath now especially with her 2023 beam, during the beam final as well.
that dismount was perfect. It hurts to watch this because she is struggling more and more on beam.
Same skill that cost her the silver on beam in Rio!

I got a 6.4 start value. What didn't she get credited for ?
exactly what i have been asking myself (and if they awarded a piked tuck that should be a 6.5, so it is suppose to be 6.4 if they only awarded her front tuck (which should be the case since they did it in qual) she should have asked for an inquiry she would have scored 4 tenths higher for sure!!)
She lost the switch half to back pike connection (0.2) and didn't put a straddle jump after her ariel split combo (0.1)
Julien Lagourde perhaps the jump into the back pike. Isn’t that supposed to be connected together? There was a break/pause
Switch leap, then with a half into back pike. She's supposed to connect that but she didn't so her d score was down
Julien Lagourde I wanna know too !!
13.733 too low for our QUEEN 💔💪💪💪
Fall after front pike though
Yikes! Hammer comes down!
Simone looks pissed after that routine
Even Simone's falls are better than anyone else's, because she doesn't actually fall.
How the hell is her difficulty at 6.0 , she only missed the connection to the back pike, and she did not add the 2nd leap to her front arial so can someone explain that D-score for me pls?? Maybe if she made an inquiry she would have won...
someone please explain this 6.0 d score to me.
For other gymnast, that score is still very high (even with great execution). Next time I'm sure it will be better!
Everyone has their good and bad days. No ones perfect.
Didn't she screw up the front pike in the balance beam final in Rio, causing her to fall behind Sanne Wevers and Laurie? Same thing where she fell forwarded and grasped the beam with both hands.
Omg it’s always the front pike/somersault
Whats skill is her dismount? It looks so difficult..
im having olympic beam finals flashbacks

Who's music was playing at the end?
Brooklyn Moors
She always looks like a goddess 😋
She looks very disappointed. It’s ok Simone.
Whoever is talking on the sidelines are so distracting
Ela sempre erra esse mortal grupado porque não tira
Damn she looks pissed asf
I have never understood why gymnasts cheer at each other DURING their beam routine. Every other event it’s fine, but beam it’s SO distracting.

Yikes!
So Mustafina and Kara have immaculate executions on beam and receive 8.000, then Biles has two medium wobbles and touches the beam and gets 7.700. How do you explain that.

Always overscored.
@Rose Laverdure Mauricio is referring to E score though

Kara's rings, but anyways Mustafina was really underscoreeddddd

VamosRafa hand down is .5... it’s literally stated in the code....stop spreading lies
grasping the beam is only a 0.5 deduction
Touching the beam is only .5 and most of her splits are fine. She's getting a .1 body shape on maybe two of them.
She only lost 0.5 on that skill but she had lots of deductions elsewhere. It was not great execution.
No grace at all
