Laurie and Riley's coach is just amazing at coaching. She's one of the most talented gymnastic coaches ive ever ever seen. She can not only teach amazingly artistic and difficult gymnastics, but also a one of a kind choreography, like no other and she can bring her gymnasts to high level events all on her own.
Brian Patterson yes! Along with he level of difficulty her girls perform at, I’m so glad how much she instills artistry. Her girls have lovely execution!
Yes to the unique choreo fo sho. In an age where it’s all about packing in as many skills as you can, in connection, it’s refreshing to see a few girls with a different take on their dance elements. I think being a less-well-known-more-on-the-fringe gym (relatively speaking, compared to like, WOGA) allows them to flex a little creative muscle.
huhh there have been serious changes since this. I agree, Maggie Haney looked an amazing coach and I have never imagined she could abuse dozens of gymnasts
Actually just realized she downgraded and also missed a connection so she wouldve hit 14 if just the d-score alone improved. Optimistic for her 2019 program.
I really wish I knew who that was on floor at this time!! I LOVE that song by Deorro and Pitbull, and tbh that is one song I always hoped Laurie Hernandez or perhaps another Latina would have used for their FX! I LOVE IT
Wow if I close my eyes and squint I’m literally watching Nastia!! that being said I feel they could have exploited her beautiful artistry a lot more in the choreography of this routine
Nice routine. I'm getting a 15.5 difficulty though. all CR + E (wolf x3), D (wolf x2), D (front aerial), C + 0.2CV/series (bhs +loso/loso), C to D + 0.1 CV (switch leap to switch half), D (side aerial), D+0.1 series (2 bhs to double tuck) = 15.5
Stephen Bowles agreed, 5.3 seems completely incorrect. Maybe they didn’t credit the switch leap connection but that seems overly harsh? I’m still perplexed
Anthony Chau I think they must’ve only credited a double wolf (d) and a 1.5 wolf (c) since she adjusted her left foot before “launching” each turn to face the end of the beam. Either way, too harsh!
Peregrination During the team final in Rio 2016, Aly Raisman did her beam routine with her floor music in the background being performed by a different gymnast😂
2.0 for CRs, 3.1 for values (1 E, 5 Ds, 2 Cs), 0.2 for CV in the acro and dance series, then 0.1 series bonus for the B+C+C acro series. There was no question for those series. What am I missing here....
She's a beautiful gymnast, but that opening split transition to triple wolf turn to double wolf turn is one of the clumsiest things I've seen with the hand on the beam to set up the wolf position and all. She's beautiful otherwise.
Way to make a comeback Riley! Good Job!
Now that’s the Riley we know! She did amazingly!
The upbeat music matching her mood rn:)
Bailar- by Deorro ❤
Great job under pressure in the team finals!👏👏👏👍

So true!!!!

Her lines and flexibility remind me of Nastia. Almost double jointed looking lol.
Her "hyper extension" is gorgeous! which is why she looks double jointed :)
And that point! High, rigid arches arches can be a pain, but they sure are beautiful.
so happy riley hit her routines in the TF!
Brilliant, Riley!!!! We're all so proud of you!
So happy for her!
Her routine went so perfect with the background floor music😂

Luo Huan, I think
It's Luo Huan of China.
1:14 the music and the sound of riley landing during the brief silence in the music - very nice
good for her to know she CAN do it! love her
Beautiful routine Riley!
Fully deserving the highest execution score for the night!
Gorgeous!!
Who's floor music? Nice Riley
Would have loved to have gotten to know her score, but she did a really good routine
Score is in the description box.
13.733 (5.3, 8.43)
Her legs are insane!
Jordan Jordan insanley muscular?
I have a crush on Nastia Liukin and Riley McCusker! #WifeGoals

But certain Russian fans are saying the Americans were overscored. They didn't need help with over an 8 point lead!

I wonder what's the most appropriate music someone has done a beam routine to.

That execution score tho
Practicing judging, and I have a 5.4 for D... can someone help me out?

SHT L completely agree! Who decided on that combo!??? It looks so janky
They should make her the head of USA Gymnastics someday who agrees!?! Lol
