- India's ban on the sale of BS-IV vehicles, left dealers stuck with old stock they expected to sell before March 31, 2020. But lock down came at the wrong time leaving them staring at huge losses in an industry already badly hit with the corona virus.
We lacked a strong infographic UA-cam channel and Bisbo's timing couldn't have been any perfect with great research and analysis with pitch perfect narration. (and not to mention zero biases) You guys are killing it. Way to go bisbo, keep those limericks rolling.. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

When electric cars have a range of 500 kms below 10 lakhs. They'd start to sell good numbers
Nobody would drive more 80kms a day so an electric car with a range of 250 to 300kms is good option and if driving out of town no-one can drive 500 kms continously. The main question is charging infrastructure has to be increased 5 fold current rate then its possible.
@@bala09sundaram bro people drive a lot like you can drive up too a 1000 km with good roads and a good driver and with 2 drivers you can drive as long as you want
@@bala09sundaram you are not including the massive taxi market. They are constantly going to and fro and they wouldn't want to wait for hours to charge.
@@arvpradhan6261 thats only if going out of town. Not on everyday basis. Most people use to go for work and that's the reason you get more pollution on traffic than jams.

In developed countries corporate industries them selfs come forward for this type of change but in India they will sit on their asses until and unless govt forces them and as a result all the weight falls on consumers!!

The lobbying from these auto manufacturers and incapacity of the government in proving subsidies for e-vehicles is the reason why things aren't going so well
There is no reason for government to regulate engine without giving enough time to adapt
@@matrix2678 thats what I meant. The government needs to come up with interventions in the first place, such that infrastructures can be set up. As most states have State controlled power companies, there arent even proper rules and regulations regarding setting up charging infrastructure; that is one of the main reasons why Tesla is still reluctant, they have their own advanced charging infrastructure.

As an automobile enthusiast, I would root for hydrogen fuel cells than Electric vehicles. I have my reasons for that.
1. Charging time, battery life and cost
2.Dependence on chinese lithium batteries.
3. long range of Hydrogen fuel cells
4. Better logistics possible, plus time to fill up is max 10 to 15 mints
5.The present infrastructure can be utilised with appropriate modifications.
Now the cost factor of hydrogen fuel cells...
It will definitely come down to the level of ICE engines with the progress made( and researches progressing) by companies like Toyota and Hyundai in this technology.

@@BisboWorld kindly do a more elaborate video on hydrogen fuel cells and related automobile research. Production of hydrogen and, subsequent compression will consume huge energy. How the researchers are tackling that issue? Is there a technology to mass produce Compressed hydrogen at relatively low cost? Also how can we make cheaper fuel cells? Is there an alternative for the expensive metals used?

According to my opinion, government need to invite more R&D in electric vehicle sector and provide the customers with some benefits and charging stations. Because 1.India is a price sensitive market and 2. Once an Indian bought a car he would use it for another at least 7-8 years leaving cities like Delhi and Mumbai.

For your kind information electric cars are not eco friendly, lithium mining is very destructive for ecology you need to research more before coming to conclusion that they are better, I still like what you do and appreciate your hard work for producing great content.

Electric vehicles are the new future. Govt is doing good by increasing vat,taxes on fuel.
Don't worry about range. You can charge it in house itself.
If we calculate for 3 years , electric vehicles v/s ice vehicles.
Electric vehicles are affrodable.
People are not even consider about environmental issues. That's is not the important factor. But in a long run ev is affrodable. But ice manufacturing companies don't want ev revolution to happen.

Just a small correction.
Hyundai kona official numbers sold as of February end was 375 in india .
The major reason that electric vehicles are not sold so much because they hardly require any replacement of square parts as the body is simply mounted on the chassis, a motor and a simple mechanism whereas fuel engine the system is a bit more complex and car agency owners major revenue is through serviceing of cars and repairs , as it is an huge investment of crores to put up a dealership and on top of the amount of huge inventories they have to keep and the staff required, machinery, on top of that the margins that they get after selling a car is not that high to cover these costs, the margins of sale are quite low so they are dependent on the body paint workshops and engine repair services jobs , the mechanics also charge a hefty amount of Salary then there is alot of pilferage of things as well, salaries of the sales staff, concierge, security guard , then the staff required to make the customer feel premium and make them comfortable like to offer tea, food, sweeper,cleaner so the only way they earn money is through repairs as the salaries they pay every month and the expenses are in crores as even insurance companies take time to process their paper work so for the time being they have to pay up for the parts and everything from their own pockets and the no. People involved in the functioning of an agency is high so these dealers pressurise companies to not to market e vehicles as they even tell the companies that they will not sell them so this is the scenario so the existing no. Of models sold are also less and to cover their own manufacturing costs auto companies sell the electric vehicles at higher price because without the repairs and services dealers would go bankrupt as many dealerships or on huge loans from the banks as well

It wont be easy to bring electric cars. There is a strong lobby of oil companies and car manufactures and also Govt is benefitting from the taxes levied from oil. They wont let electric vehicles enter so easily.

Fir refineries > BS4 to BS6 was better decision as they had to invest one time to upgrade the technology needed to produce BS6 fuel. If it was BS5 then after certain years they would have put more money.
But for auto makers> the leap surged the price of new cars + sudden technology update the cost which was transferred to costumer and almost killed diesel engines in small pessenser vehicles.

It's far more informative than a simple recitation of the news, and offers a strategic framework that you won't get on other channels. To me, a considered neutral opinion, rather than the 24/7 tamasha that doesn't really educate a person, and is worse for ones mental health, is worth the wait.
It is very hard to do animation very quicky. It takes a lot of time and effort.
