Haha! I always love to turn them on on Emmy's videos, especially when she says "itadakimasu", which more or less means let's eat in Japanese. With auto generated subtitles I've got "it's the documents" or even "Eat the doctor's mints" XD
The dehydrated foods are fully cooked and edible, if you do not have hot water you can either eat it dry or you can prepare it with cold water you just need to let it sit longer. For the eggs you can drain the excess water off and the texture is better.
Believe it or not some of the early freeze dried meals ( early 90s) were actually better if you didn't rehydrate them!! Specifically the freeze dried pork and beef patties!! Also back in those days we didn't have the flameless ration heaters either! We always brought a Coleman two burner stove with us!!
Idk why but watching Emmy’s videos make me happy. She’s such a nice and calm person. She always has a good attitude towards food and always is honest with rating. I’m thankful that Emmy makes videos and I hope her channel blows up.
I've been binge watching Steve1989 lately and then I discover you are also now doing MRE reviews. Wow, or as Steve would say "Nice!" Lets get that out on a tray.
I always enjoy these so much! Had never heard of these until you started doing them. Thankyou Emmy! Hope you and the fam have a great weekend. Quack!Quack!Quack! Loved the swimming dog btw🐾😍🐕🐝🐥
I just love you Emmy! I’ve been watching you for a while but I just recently found your video testing Zapps chips from Louisiana and I was ecstatic. I’m from and live in southwest Louisiana

These are always my favourite kind of videos from you. I always enjoy watching you!
Are you camping?! I love camping! My parents started camping when I was seven and my husband and I camped until the last couple of years. He still does, but I’ve had to quit due to health problems. And it was so much more fun when our son was growing up. Enjoy your time with your kids. Loved the video!
Hi Emmy! I love watching your videos~ always a good way to brighten the day to see you! I especially love how you are always open to trying all different types of new recipes and foods! There is something called an "Inkigayo sandwich" that is getting a lot of popularity these days! It is a small twist off of a typical sandwich idea~ it would be a fun little easy recipe! I hope you can give it a try~!
Great review! As I recall, the nuts and raisin mixture was the original ration for LRP soldiers. I think it was later sold as lurps or something like that.
I don't know why, but your videos are so calming to watch. I kinda like it though. I think it would be weird if a cooking show that make cute family foods yelled at their viewers on how to make cake. That's what Gordon Ramsay does.
True, but Gordon Ramsay has a background as a professional chef, and take it from someone with experience, Ramsay is a puppy in comparison to a lot of head chefs.
When my dad was in the army he was sent to the South Pole to help build the old research center down there. He told me about his ‘mochas’ (instant coffee & hot chocolate 😂😂) and I remember thinking that was the greatest thing ever when I was 6-7. When you talked about ur love of instant coffee & then did the hot chocolate it reminded me of learning how to boil water to make mochas for my dad & I 💖💖💖
As others have pointed out, that's a single meal, not a 24-hour pack. My LRP experience goes back to 1971, when they were first introduced. They were LRRPs back then, and always pronounced "lurps." Freeze-dried entree, but very few if any "sides" or snacks. The Army has never, ever gotten dehydrated eggs right. Always pasty, flavorless, and soupy. Maybe that's an egg problem and not the Army. Anyway, thank you for another Saturday Special - even if it was posted hours late! You are forgiven.
As a trucker who watches your video's, I have to ask. what truck stops are you basing the taste of burnt coffee on? lol. I typically only get coffee from Pilot/Flying J stations. since they offer such a wide array of creamers and coffee flavors they tend to sell it so fast that it doesn't have time to sit and go bad. but I also have not been as far northeast as you are. I can say once you hit New York, Connecticut and New Jersey the parking availability drops off steep where I try to get my truck parked by 3pm.
Perhaps she is remembering truck stops from the past? These days, they have such selection and sophistication. I don't drink coffee, but when I visit Pilot, I must cross the coffee area to get to the fountain sodas, and it is quite impressive. It's the same at Love's and other such truck stops. (Although Pilot is the best!)
Miss those MRE ham steaks back in 96. So many hated them, and I'd trade for them. MRE bombs anyone? Hated the "chocolate" covered "oatmeal," "cookie bars." Nasty. THOSE were constipation inducing themselves 😑
And that's why you add tabasco. In the navy, we always had a bottle of hot sauce on the tables on the mess decks. Food was normally made bland because of peoples' dietary restrictions. Lowest common denominator when cooking. A lot of the would be chefs working on the mess decks hated the rules. Every recipe was considered a direct order.
Emmy, would you happen to remember where you got your camping dishes from? I've been looking for cups and bowls about the size you have, but they seem to be hard to find.
Just an FYI... theses are limited to 10 days in extreme situations because they are minimal; most patrols get 3 of theses daily unless in situations where they may get only limited supplies
I think LRP's are supposed to be phased on and there will only be the MCW. But the US Armed Forces still have a large supply of LRP's so they're using them up.
I guess if you're in a situation where this is your meal, picky eaters would find themselves eating a lot of things that usually wouldn't. Tfs! (Hidden message: 🐕)
If I remember a Long Range ration should be only for a patrol that is only going out for a period of the day and would be returning on the same day, hence why it’s not several meals for an entire day. The patrol is expected to return to base camp so they would be getting food from the mess later that day. Please correct me if I’m wrong. :D
LRP rations are not just for SF any soldier in a extreme cold environment and when you need to travel fast and far since they are freeze dried they weigh half as much.
Hello long time Emmy fans! I was wondering if anyone remembers which video Emmy eats red bean jelly in? I was just recently watching “Mr. House Husband” and they were eating it. So I was just really curious. Thank you in advance! ☺️
The auto generated subtitles saying Hella Fresh lol.
Haha! I always love to turn them on on Emmy's videos, especially when she says "itadakimasu", which more or less means let's eat in Japanese. With auto generated subtitles I've got "it's the documents" or even "Eat the doctor's mints" XD
+Wickus On this one, I got "utility mouths". XD
Haha that's... different! I still can't get over "eat the doctor's mints" XD
Sometimes when she says "hello, my lovelies!", the subtitles say "hello my uglies!"
Auto generated subtitles are harsh! XD
The dehydrated foods are fully cooked and edible, if you do not have hot water you can either eat it dry or you can prepare it with cold water you just need to let it sit longer. For the eggs you can drain the excess water off and the texture is better.
Stuff some of the dehydrated kibble chunks in your mouth, swish it around in saliva, swallow, ask for more.
I love when you semi-randomly label something in the background. 😆 Dog, bug spray... 😂
Where do you see bug spray ?
look for the vid with her son "watering the trees" i almost spit out my coffee...lol
I thought i was alone in that.
It’s funny how this video is 11:11 minutes long and I finished it at 11:11 at night :)
Good night every one 😴
double wish power
...and it’s meal #11
I started it at 11:11 AM
That wasn't a dog over your right shoulder. It was the Loch Ness Monster.
OMG YASSSSSSSS 😂😂😂
Just out there looking for tree fiddy.
Right after I read this comment the dog swam into frame. Spooky!
Where??
I had an awful day, and I just love your channel. Glad to see you, cheers me up! Which military ration has been your favorite so far?
AccusingEyes92 - I’m sorry you had a awful day, I don’t like those days! But tomorrow will be a better day! 😊
Feel better :)
I hope tomorrow is amazing for You! ❤
First SteveMRE and now Emmy... Saturday night = NICE!

Literally the only thing that puts me to sleep when I nap:)
So very happy that you tried this one, thrilled to contribute! (as always). Thanks for your great videos, Emmy! :D
Quack, quack, quack! :)

I remember those!
Fractured Hearts terrible weren't they!! We use to chew them and drink some water to wash them down!!
Hell I loved them!
Fractured Hearts I always liked the chicken a la king!!
Favorite MRE were the dried patties!
you and steve uploaded on the same day, ugh your minds !
Nice! 😀
Great minds think alike!!
Emmy, you usually upload at 8pm. Hope everything is ok.💜 Wonderful video as always. Quack, quack, quack!

HelloFresh should create a branch of MRE delivery service. How about they call it HelloMRE?
David Supan or HelloNotFresh
You just made my entire night so much better by posting this. Love you, Emmy 😍❤️
I really love the background noises, its so atmospheric, i just weirdly like it.
I've been binge watching Steve1989 lately and then I discover you are also now doing MRE reviews. Wow, or as Steve would say "Nice!"
Lets get that out on a tray.
There's something charmingly ironic about an MRE taste test meal being sponsored by Hello Fresh. I love it.
I always enjoy these so much! Had never heard of these until you started doing them. Thankyou Emmy! Hope you and the fam have a great weekend. Quack!Quack!Quack! Loved the swimming dog btw🐾😍🐕🐝🐥
Hi Emmy!!
I love these videos so much! (also I’m excited to be early)

Thank you for another taste test, and in such a gorgeous environment, too!
I love all your videos Emmy. I think if everyone watched you they would be better people for it. Such a classy role model.
Omg the MRE tastings are my favorite! Love you, Emmy!
I don't know why, but your videos are so calming to watch. I kinda like it though. I think it would be weird if a cooking show that make cute family foods yelled at their viewers on how to make cake. That's what Gordon Ramsay does.

Her amazing voice really helps.
Kinda enjoy the people in the background, it adds an ambient to the video I didn’t know I wanted!
I love all your videos.. especially these ones... Soooo cool
I cant help but smile when I see youve uploaded something :)
Love your videos!! 👍😊 Love that you labeled the 🐶 swimming behind you. 😁😂

i keep hearing hella fresh and i wish it was a thing
Love you Emmy! Thanks for sharing! 😊
I got distracted in all the best ways by the dog swimming behind you. Lol 🐕
I actually really like the background sound of kids and families. Makes the whole video complete rather than a quiet green screen and fake lights
I like the MRE videos because they remind me of big boy lunchables, or maybe a less neat poppin' cookin'. They look fun to prepare.
Love your videos Emmy!
Emmy your camping pots and cups are so cute! ☺️
Always a joy, and that looks like a very nice park!
Miss those MRE ham steaks back in 96. So many hated them, and I'd trade for them. MRE bombs anyone? Hated the "chocolate" covered "oatmeal," "cookie bars." Nasty. THOSE were constipation inducing themselves 😑
Thanks for the laugh with the "Good for your colon..." line regarding the oatmeal... Made my day/night..!
Oh, yay. Finally, my night can finish properly!! I thought I had my days mixed up an hour or two ago. 😂 Yes, I know my days by the UA-camrs I watch.

mix your hot chocolate with your coffee..
My little boy loves watching these mre videos. I want so badly to give him one to try out. Hes super into survival things.
I love how about 1 minute in the sun placement changed suddenly.
Get that hustle, girl! Great video!
First time watching you. I do have to say you are much prettier than the other ration tasters. LOL. Great job, very entertaining, thank you.
Freeze dried coffee is so nostalgic. Takes me back too. Love it
Such an interesting video today! Thank you!!!
Thanks so much fun watching you
its not an MRE video without Tabasco LOL
Hi Emmy! I love your videos! How are the hens?
Can we all just sit back and enjoy Emmy's varying array of knives!
Ahhhh! This upload made my night!
When I was in the Guard literally everyone I knew kept telling me to stay away from the MRE Egg meals. Something about getting the squirts.
Emmy is “so friggin cute” to quote Emmy herself... I’m always in a better mood after watching her videos
Just an FYI... theses are limited to 10 days in extreme situations because they are minimal; most patrols get 3 of theses daily unless in situations where they may get only limited supplies
Love it Emmy ❤️
I think LRP's are supposed to be phased on and there will only be the MCW. But the US Armed Forces still have a large supply of LRP's so they're using them up.
4:54 HAMMIN'!
I love these ration videos!!!
I guess if you're in a situation where this is your meal, picky eaters would find themselves eating a lot of things that usually wouldn't. Tfs! (Hidden message: 🐕)
Love the outside videos. Seems so relaxed.
And yeah, those eggs don't look that great lmao.
the background is soo beautiful !😍
Finally another MRE video! 😍
hi emmy, love your vids, esp. the mre's.

😂 Awesome duck call. 11:08
Interesting video, as always!
i love ur reaction after you drink the coffee in every type of these videos lolol
Glad you were candid in your appraisal.
I've always added coffee creamer to my oatmeal since I don't drink coffee. It makes the oatmeal creamier and more tasty.
You should make a southern hummingbird cake! (Don’t worry, no hummingbirds are harmed) 😝😁
LRP rations are not just for SF any soldier in a extreme cold environment and when you need to travel fast and far since they are freeze dried they weigh half as much.
It's nice to see a video done outdoors.
Emmy and crazy Russian hacker collaboration Id love that video
my dream
I love these videos ❤️
Everything looks so good but i specially love the dog swimming
I love the fact that you wee out doors reviewing this MRE,
You should try and get your hands on the New England clam chowder mre . Its honestly delicious
Haha, 6:10 - Dog...
... how odd, I'm eating my own brekky with my own Opinel knife and watching Emmy do the same. What an odd little coincidence. :D
I love this channel 😻
You and Steve uploaded on the same day. We're so spoiled 😍
6:10 the swimming doggo!
Hello long time Emmy fans! I was wondering if anyone remembers which video Emmy eats red bean jelly in? I was just recently watching “Mr. House Husband” and they were eating it. So I was just really curious. Thank you in advance! ☺️
I know its not good for you and I don't have it anymore, but I have fond fond memories of Sunny Delight and Tang. Kids these days are missing out.
Emmy I think you should do a taste test of gluten free treats because the figgies and jammies made by Pamela is so close to fig Newtons but so goood
in ireland fig newtons are called fig rolls and i love them
