Well, it must get lonely if you're out on patrol with your platoon and you're miles away from home and missing your wife. I think it's very thoughtful of the Chinese army to provide a means of releasing that pent up sexual frustration, lol!
Gundog rocks, and all the rations community is amazing. The pastry looks good. Google translate is funny. You should have seen what came up on mine when I tried a russian ration. Great review thanks.
Dazhane Johnson I'm sorry but my google translate in iPhone doesn't do that so I must take pic first then translate it . So can u plz tell me what's yours or how to do that too ?!?! Thank u 😊
I saw you post this on Instagram the other day and I've been checking UA-cam ever since for it!!! I love the international MREs, they're so freakin interesting! I was hoping the sexy sausage would be sexier 😂😂😂
Also emmy do you ever remember certain people who comment on your channel? I know you've replied to me multiple times but i was just curious if my name seems somewhat familiar?
Even tho I think someone already did it I'm still putting this translation up. This a 09 Self-Heating Ration Pack. It's a Curry Rice Pack The paste/sauce included is a hot chilli paste/sauce (I here predict is Lao Gan Ma) Syrup Pineapple, Beef Sausage, Gatorade power, and Roasted Cookies with Filling. I find it interesting that not much description is provided xD Thank you Emmy for tasting the pack. (Btw I suspect that the package is green is probably due to liberation army is the land-based army, their uniform and backpacks are all in the colour of deep army green, if not camouflaged. :D)
If you take a picture and let it translate you will get clearer results. Sometimes the live translate doesn't quite catch the characters properly changing the meaning. #LifeInChina haha
After watching all the MRE vids, I think the food in the square aluminum foil looking tins seems to look better then the wet food in pouches (always looks mushy) or the freeze dried (has a strange consistency to me)
The camera feature in google translate is very useful while traveling. Although, I'm surprised it couldn't read "curry". Maybe because it's a phonetic word in Chinese?
Hey Emmy! I love watching your MRE tasting videos ^^ The package says Curry Fried Rice in case anyone was wondering~ Can't wait to watch more of your videos!
The date inked on the bag is most likely the date it was packaged. When i was in China, most of the packaging for food items had the production date and i dont think I've ever seen an expectation date.
I love Google Translate, it makes non English language MRE's something of fun gastronomic guessing game. Although I must admit the Russian "Tissues in meat sauce" was quite tasty (it was meatballs).
I found this very interesting and get the feeling if we are going to work things into this, the ration was designed for colder climes such as dealing with Ruskies, not Americans. Also that the rice and sauce is also meant to be mixed with the sexy sausage.
ur supposed to take a picture of the text that needs translation, then it asks you to select the text to translate and it'll give you a translation that isn't constantly moving
if people didnt know , the chinese ration are really small because they dont use that often, they have 3-5 chefs that will set up a full size kitchen and finish cooking for under 30mins .
First time I've watched a video of Emmy's within minutes of her uploading... I am for once one of the first 1500 of her fan's to watch... Cool Beans!!!
I subscribed, love your military rations tastings, I wanna try the JSDF looked so tasty, I also watch kiwidude as well. Prison menu is awesome as well. Keep up the good work emmymadeinjapan
We stocked up on these after Hurricane Katrina. Most of them are actually really good. My most favorite was the chili mac. If you were lucky, you got a pack of m&m's or Skittles (full sized). Those were a luxury when you don't have stores that were open. We even ate MREs after we got our electricity back, but not long after that they got tiring to eat because that's all we had. No complaints though. They do the job. 😁
These videos makes me feel some kind of humanity with all the soldiers throughout the world; they might be on different sides but at the end of the day, they are all human beings deserving of a decent meal for their labors. Big ups to the unknown kitchen krewes and meal planners who try to make their existence more tolerable.
*TOP TIP For other MRE / Ration binge watchers .... Select settings, click on playback speed, select 1.25 or 1.5* (dont go higher unless you want a giggle) and you can watch more videos in a short time whilst still being able to enjoy ... otherwise you'll end up going to bed at 5am again! ;)
Hey Emmy! I enjoy your MRE reviews and your channel as a whole..great content and you are awesome! The Google tranlations made me crack up, seriously. Gundog, Gshultz and KiwiDude are all great MRE reviewers but your spin on MREs is highly enjoyable. Great video! :)
What's about this camera translation on her iPhone?!?! Cause mine is totally different than hers lol it's google translate but must take pic first then translate it 🙁 So plz can anyone tell me that app ?!?! Thank u 😊🌸
From what I read, Chinese products don't have expiration dates on the package. They have a production date and sometimes a shelf life marked, such as +6 months. I just googled it though, so please correct me if I'm wrong.
I know this comment is old but you're correct! I lived in China for three years and that's how they do it, production date + shelf life printed on the package
china has these new instant meals that work like the MREs with a heat pack and water. it's instant mala (麻辣 - numbingly spicy) hot pot in a box. hope you can try this!
I think tea culture in China is somewhat separate from the food culture. I've seen lots of Chinese people carry around thermoses of loose-leaf tea, but I haven't noticed it getting served with meals all that much--(from Henan ;-). You're much more likely to get a watery soup with your meal.
Just have to love Google Translate. Seldom does it get things right. Lol. I was laughing so hard at the translations I almost choked. Great video as always.
like the moon cake this fried rice is actually made from sticky rice which suppose to taste like zhongzi. it is another traditional food that every chinese even partial vietnamese will eat during the festival. btw on its cover it says curry fried rice.
Emmy I will be trying to make maple syrup this coming fall. I was wondering if you had Maple trees by your house. Maybe you should give it a go. Would make for good video. I helped on it when I was a kid. But never by myself. Should be fun. And yummy.
Emmy! I wish you would have shown the actual chinese words in addition to the translation. I wanted to see if I could read them and see what they're actually supposed to be without having to pause at the exact moment google translate wasn't translating. ☹️ i love the chinese pla rations though, i'd be interested to see more!
"Sex Stuffy sausage"
"American what gang Oh fried rice"
funniest translation ever

Qu AudioReact trueee Hahahaha
That's why this channel blows
I think the translator flat out said
"Its sausage just eat it already"
Hahahahahahaha
7:26 I love how it says "river concave" on the glass of water
Sexy stuffy sausage is beef sausage and American what gang oh fried rice is actually curry fried rice haha. This is great.
Well, this is what happens when translating from a language that was designed to be extremely complicated on purpose, sometimes things get weird.
Trying to translate Japanese on the same app is equally as weird and hilarious.
Hannah Fu I prefer Sexy Stuffy Sausage and American what oh gang. But I do appreciate the proper translation.
Hannah Fu It's actually said "Sex stuffy sausage"..
use Baidu for Chinese translation y'all! 200x more accurate
Love how gundog helps Emmy taste new rations instead of gatekeeping!
"Hot sauce makes everything better." It's an immutable law of nature.
When she says it's "not that spicy," keep in mind the way she slathers on Tabasco sauce...
No way Jose. Ketchup! Is lol
Sorta like blue bonnet lol.
@@karenferguson3515 LoL. Ketchup is a garbage condiment.
I like to put Sriracha rooster sauce on my fried rice.
咖哩炒饭 is Curry Fried Rice
牛肉香肠 is Beef sausage
Love your videos 🙆😋
Gundog rocks, and all the rations community is amazing. The pastry looks good. Google translate is funny. You should have seen what came up on mine when I tried a russian ration. Great review thanks.
"Emmy eats the world"... I could make a SERIOUSLY bad horror movie out of that...
Abel Kuroyama do it. 😂
Emmy vores the world
😂😍😄😃😂😂😂😃
I have the phrase "Emmy eats" and "sex stuffy sausage" in my head now. :) No offense Emmy
Me in 2019: Oh dear god don't let that be the expiration date
Me realizing this video was made in 2017: Oh well that's better
Same😂 but even if that's the expiration date it was still bad by almost 5 months unless she withheld this video for a super long time
You had no idea what was coming
Dude, Most MRE's last years after their expiration datw
Me watching this in 2022 👁👄👁
Now imagine me watching it in 2022 and going: Omg Emmy is about to unalive herself🤣🤣
If she had a taste test show on food network would would watch it??? Me totally!!!!!
Yes although I love the UA-cam format and community, that would be lost for sure!
Haha, Emmy, you should get a military tray for your MRE tastings!!
That would be... Nice!!
M’kay.
I don't know if it's just me, but I had no idea Google Translate could do that! So cool! 😁
Mirax3 lol thought i was the only one
Dazhane Johnson I'm sorry but my google translate in iPhone doesn't do that so I must take pic first then translate it . So can u plz tell me what's yours or how to do that too ?!?! Thank u 😊
Mai Sona you should just be able to tap on the camera icon
Mai Sona Not all languages are supported right now for instant translation.
android could do this for years way ahead of iphones
I saw you post this on Instagram the other day and I've been checking UA-cam ever since for it!!! I love the international MREs, they're so freakin interesting! I was hoping the sexy sausage would be sexier 😂😂😂
Me too! 😂

@@emmymade I'm guessing the People's Liberation Army MRE can't be gotten 4/with U.S. Currency in a way!
I love the differences between the rations and the we-all-have-these bits, too. Thank you Emmy!
I'm gathering the user instructions on all my electronics and giving that translator a whirl.
Haha I was just trying to think what I could use it on! Thanks!!!

Emmy you are so amazing! I love how you describe things so well and are always respectful of other cultures. ♡

Holy shit that's some star trek level stuff with the translator app.
After watching all the MRE vids, I think the food in the square aluminum foil looking tins seems to look better then the wet food in pouches (always looks mushy) or the freeze dried (has a strange consistency to me)
I laughed so hard "sex stuffy sausage" 💀
I live for these MRE videos.
DisneyMagic95 me too 😂
Love these reviews. Enjoyed so much watching all of these. Great job.
Emmy... I have subbed to you a loooong time ago and I regret nothing! You are The best at describing things, you are calm, funny, and really smart!
The camera feature in google translate is very useful while traveling. Although, I'm surprised it couldn't read "curry". Maybe because it's a phonetic word in Chinese?
Rachel T 咖喱 is similar to 咖啡 so it the app sometimes confuses the words xD
Hey Emmy! I love watching your MRE tasting videos ^^ The package says Curry Fried Rice in case anyone was wondering~ Can't wait to watch more of your videos!
Yeah me too but hey
When I saw Emmy cut the cookie I though “fig newtons”.. I was waiting for her to say it, and she did. And now I am happy. 😂🤣
I love these types of reviews and that translator is a never-ending source of funny, keep up the good work!
Ahhh I love these videos!!!! Do more please!!! Love you💕
The date inked on the bag is most likely the date it was packaged. When i was in China, most of the packaging for food items had the production date and i dont think I've ever seen an expectation date.
You're the only other MRE review besides Steve that I enjoy watching. Thank you!!! Love it. :)
@ 9:50 "Hot sauce makes everything better" Damn right it does
We love google translate for our travels! One time it told me the Air China sandwich snack had the ingredient "cucumber prostitution" 😂🤣😂
I laughed so much! 🤣🤣 That translator App made this a hilarious video! Thanks Emmy! 😁
I've never clicked a notification so fast in my life!! Thanks for making my boring work Friday instantly better ❤️❤️❤️
I hope to be as adventurous as you are someday, Emmy,! You have such an awesome mind. Always open to trying new foods.
Been having a bad day (pregnant and very sick) and I’ve found your channel and have just been watching you for hours now. So calming.
I hope you and little one are doing good!
Omg I’m pregnant and sick but her videos make me feel better too !!!!
I subscribe so many channels that focus mainly into more videos, but yours are still my favorite! Great job Emmy!
Love your videos Emmy. :)
God bless from Ireland!
I love your positive attitude. You are a bright spot in a dark world. I am nowhere near as an adventurous eater as you are but am still a foodie.
I love Google Translate, it makes non English language MRE's something of fun gastronomic guessing game. Although I must admit the Russian "Tissues in meat sauce" was quite tasty (it was meatballs).

It's standard in China for the printed date to be the production date
I love watching you try new MRE's ! You're amazing Emmy 💓
The random, ever changing translations were hilarious!
watching you always makes my day and puts a smile on my face love all your taste testing videos 💟
