Tarisland is a brand new tab targeting fantasy theme park MMORPG that’s set for a western release in 2024, In this game you can choose from 9 distinct classes each with their own specialization choices, talents and playstyles,
Take on bosses either in a 10 player raid, 5 player dungeon or even a solo challenge mode.
Band together to test your skills against other players in 10v10 battlegrounds or 3v3 equalized PVP arena.
And ofcourse play through a cut scene rich story whilst traversing multiple diverse zones earning achievements and working towards map completion rewards along the way.
Aside from that Tarisland also features crafting and gathering, epic loot to work towards and a streamlined Theme park experience where there’s no need to install addons as the game comes with a build in DPS meter and boss mod by default.
In this video you’ll see my first impressions of playing Tarisland for the first time during the games final Chinese Beta Test, bare in mind there’ll likely be a few changes to the game especially when it comes to translations, text and localization for the western release.
What do you think about Tarisland? is this an upcoming MMORPG that you'll be playing? what do you think about the PVP and PVE content? let me know in the comments below!

Hello, how can i play the game? they wrote that it is not available for download on their website
i registered my email but i cannot download it
Yea, just what the genre needed, another themepark MMORPG where player decisions have zero impact on anything in the world.
Why would anyone play this game? Just because it has newer graphics than what's on the market now doesn't mean the gameplay is any better.
Thanks to your video I know to not waste my time watching let alone playing anything Tarisland related.
@@henrythegreatamerican8136Unfortunatly, It does not matter anymore if people are playing or not. Just need to attract some whale and you get enough money.
Hello, pre-register for Europa release?
The game looks fun, but no visual progression is a dealbreaker for me.
agreed
lol nerd 🤓
Me too...my monkey brain need rewards
They will bring it a long I am sure.
Yeah and that's all more red flag that they say they can remove gender locks but which means rigging new models for all the animations for the many classes.
I hate visual-less upgrades, it just hollows out something that cant be replaced in an MMO.
I agree, it is such a turn off. Guess this is another mmorpg I am gonna skip.
can you elaborate cause idk what u mean, i dont play mmos but this looks interesting
@@jokingsemi There is no visual that you upgraded, nothing outwardly changed. Most MMOs when you get a better sword or armor, the look changes especially if it’s better than the current gear you have equipped.
Ohhh yeah he mentioned that in the cons, didnt reach the end yet.
That is actually bad i agree@@MetastaticMaladies
Yup. It's an immediate and almost complete turn off in any game really. Visual progression is as important as your character progression. I can't explain it but it's a psychological step we just need in games. I didn't even watch the video yet, just reading some comments and seeing that there isn't any visual progression already makes it an uninteresting product for me. If any devs happen to stumble on this, yes, it absolutely is that important. Heck, I'd argue even things like transmogs are becoming standard... visual progression is more than just pretty visuals, it's actual in game content.People will play games to get different looks. People LOVE in game fashion, they NEED it.
Cmon, even Diablo had some basic visual progression.
Zero visual based progression is a complete game killer in my opinion and turns away massive amounts of players. It's worth the effort. Personally I would very rarely touch a game, much less an MMO, if it lacks visual based progression like armor and weapons. Numbers on a UI with a picture doesn't do it for most people I'd say.
games gonna be dead on arrival, all that money and time wasted
I would guess it's locked to push micro transactions?
I think it's being overstated how much of a deal breaker it is
I call it lazy. One of the reason why people play mmorpg is because we can show off our achievement via items we own. If it shows zero difference (in visual) between lvl 1 item and lvl max item, then its a lazy-developed game
well there are still skins so you can see differences by how much whale people are
10:52 - 11:25...They NEED to fix that before launch.
I wanna see the progression and feel rewarded for unlocking better gear and just make other players think "that dude looks like an absolute chad".
The fact that character aesthetics is fixed is a deal breaker for me for sure and I really hope that that was just a slip-up for beta testing.
To be fair I doubt they change that because they know a game like fortnite exist and that kids make their parent spend $300 on skins... now I know tarisland is a mmo but yeah I think its intended
Here : You are chad. You look like chad. Chad please help me, i need your strong arms chad. Oh chad. Please.
Big nope
Please WoW knock off fix this and I pretend it wasn't a issue as you knock off another game. Me: I know what it is and what I expect from it.
@jiladoper2 lol bro fortnite can't be faulted for that. That's the fault of the literal sea of mmos that only have best stuff in the cash shop.
Gear is a big part of any MMO, not just for stats but for looks as well, getting a new weapon or armour piece and then seeing it on your character just feels right.
WoW from AliExpress ?
Worse, From Temu
This looks a lot better.
@@fandusmercius723 Better is subjective. That said, it is higher fidelity on the graphics side, but imo wow looks better due to the visual gear upgrades. It seems that this point of view is widely shared (judging litterally only on this video's comment section, there are a lot of people saying that it's a deal breaker to not have visual progression.)
Again: Yes, graphics fidelity is objectively higher, but lack of visual progression SEEMS to be unpopular, so not necessarily 'better' by majority of people's definitions.
Tbh, wow is wow from ALiExpress nowadays
@@lrw2008I like the artsyle they're going for here. Distinct stylized proportions, simple textures, lovely palette and lighting. Just needs more cosmetics and better asset designs. But the animations, combat and the cons y'all mentioned kinda deters me from the game. If it's f2p I wouldn't mind trying it out but I'm really not expecting much beyond the pleasant colors and lighting at this point.
No gear visuals is a deal breaker
I actually like it, now you don’t have half ass gear sets. But only complete visual gear-sets
@Cavalo-ko5uoyou’re part of the problem with these game developers.
I kind of understand but if you think about it, they just took away the end game to where everybody looks the same.Because everybody has the same high end piece of gear instead now you can look what you want to look while having That same Gear.
@@Musclepatty they are writing this on every comment about the outfits, might be an employee lol
I hate this game for one reason. Gear does not effect how your character looks you have to buy skins. I uninstalled after I saw that. Gameplay is really decent but I'm out after gear is just to improve numbers. Half the point of mmorpgs is getting badass looking loot especially in a populated area and everyone has different sets on.
I hope the devs choose to read the comments and take your feedback. I'd happily play this game if appearance progression isn't a paid feature.
get on with the times boomer, ppl don't care about ugly garbage gear progression, ppl want skins.
@@witcherpie LOL I'm sure they would want to pay for skins rather then play for gear.
@@aessedaiclassic They would have to delay to make all the gear sets to do that. They won't sadly.

Is It Worth Playing? = Paid Promo, that's not the same
it's not worth it.
nice commenting on the first 1 minute, but he covers a ton of features and is pretty critical of some of them.
It will be mobile game first since the market is much larger. So expect pay to win and shitty mechanics to make you spend money
@@ZechsMerquise73 "Pretty critical" lol, things like no visual progression and unnecessary UI clutter are things he would usually rip apart devs for on non sponsored vids yet here he's just "not a fan", not to mention absolute crickets on cash shop, p2w element of season pass and even goes out of his way to praise the devs for basic features like tutorials
It's fine to do sponsored vids but he needs to stop pretending like he's being honest about these
Cry in a corner
To be fair, the game looks great for being both mobile and PC. And the fact that you get a taste of "raids" is pretty amazing. And you get damage meters etc. from the start without having to add 200 addons like in Wow. I look forward to actually trying this out myself
I agree. There's a lot of hate in the comment section here, but it actually looks like a pretty decent game. I will definitely try it out, at least.
Me too
The cash shop is going to be the biggest deciding factor for everyone, definitely should've delved deeper into that. Need a video explaining how pay to win it might be.
There’s no p2w, only skins

@@Drinkanddivee You really think that?
@@Krunkeridleios nah, I know it

"randomly flying floating text" was a nice effect at the end.
It has visual progression, but it's not per item, but actually per tier set you achieve. Once you get 8/8 tierset you will get a cosmetic that will show that you have it completed, for example.
Doesn't sound bad
Actually makes getting the gear even more challenging and rewarding
Okay if that's true, then I like it. It would make it far more rewarding in this case to complete an entire set. As long as they have TONS of sets, so not everyone is walking around wanting/getting the same ones, then I will like that system.
Yeah devs, the game need visual progress.
It is a really streamlined and optmized gameplay, but the game feels souless, just like any other mobile game, although really well made.
My thoughts exactly. Game certainly looks nice with the environment design and feels good with its music, but the gameplay and features are average at best. It is soulless in the true sense of the word; it is neither overwhelming of underwhelming, it is just there.
If they do a better job than what's currently out there then I think it's worth it. It might not have new groundbreaking gameplay but if they can make something better then it might be worth a try.
Chinese Devs>Mobile and PC
I've heard enough
Devs will hack your data and give em to the CCP
yea. Same game as them all
- Nice looking gear only moneylocked
- progression is probably slower when not paying money
- only stats and damage numbers grow by playing, all cosmetic stuff moneylocked.
And yet they somehow did a lot of things right, things that western devs or JP/KR devs won't do. Outside of the lack of visuals it's somewhat impressive, and somewhat sad, even if the poor Chinese devs were probably being worked in some PC sweatshop to put it out this fast.
@@RipOffline Its everything f2p. Money only buys u skins. Where do u want to get money for them if the game is totally f2p and has not p2w or p2f? lol
Credit card most powerful item in game 😂
visual progression is must, only thing I would recommend that they work on, the comments seem to overwhelmed with this concern, game looks great can't wait to play it 😁
10:17 the way that NPC’s eyes went out of orbit was so weird 😂
Hey Craig, I've been looking everywhere, but I can't find anything on your old band. Are there videos about it still on UA-cam at all? It's been a few years since I last listened and I completely forgot the band's name.
"Combat is passable" = can pass this game up
"No sense of visual progression" = no sense of playing this game
- "combat is passable" could be a pro for casuals; more focus on boss mechanics than class mechanics ? Seems easy to jump back in with friends when new content is released.
- "no sense of visual progression": well, it's a F2P, so the question actually is "how many skins will each class have, and how many can I get versus the money spent on FF14/WoW" (but who plays WoW nowadays ? Activision killed it years ago).
Always love your videos mate! Ive played the cbt of this game and i really enjoyed it. I think it will go far once the devs listen to the community
Remember chat not to believe anything a paid reviewer said
I think that goes with every human.
Or elf
The raid mechanic tutorial looks great actually, they could release that as a standalone mini game to help people in other games lol
somehow, it brings back the vibe of TERA...
This looks very appealing! I like the clean, minimalist graphics, it reminds me a bit of Albion Online.
That visual gating behind a paywall is a pretty big con. Westerners are going to give it so much flame for that regardless of what else they do well. They must have saved so much money not designing each and every piece of gear visually though and the base outfits had great physics because they clearly put time and effort into them. Def pros and cons there
I love how people complain more if it’s visual content gated behind a paywall.
People seem to care less if it’s P2W or even straight up gambling with Gacha.
Wonder why good F2P games are dying. Really wonder.
Its everything f2p. U dont pay for the game, there is no p2w or p2f. Man, u are just paying for skins. Do u want to work for free?
Hell Yeah a video for Easter! Thanks good sir much appreciated!
So for clarification the flying floating text when you join dungeons and raids is a very common way of showing chat in Chinese streaming and mobile gaming. Even tv series can toggle this to see how other people react to a scene in a tv series. It for sure should have a toggle on/off. But it is very common in Chinese internet culture.
I tested the game pretty heavily. I thought the world questing was fairly simple and somewhat dull, but the dungeons were really fun. I never tank in MMOs, but I found myself tanking the dungeons back to back. I even got to the point of playing dungeons just to help walk new players through them
MMO quests are always dull.
@@blackwater7183 Yeah, I wish MMOs added at least some grain of challenge to the world/story/side quests. They always feel soooo incredibly easy in the MMO's I've played.

LazyPeon sponsored first impressions changes his perspective about garbage alot.
It sure does, to the point where suddenly comments just disappear. Like my earlier comment.
1. No complaints on limited customization? Really? Every other non sponsored game you went into detail if it's trash or not, but now, nothing? Crickets?
2.Usually he would complain that quests are boring going from NPC to NPC, but here he is all "oh thanks devs I can skip dialogue"
3.MASSIVE CASH SHOP he's like "So far seems OK, I don't understand it" yeah, that's the power of sponsors, suddenly bias is ever present.
4. Lol he's deleting comments now? That's the power of Chinese money I guess. You can't say anything actually negative, or boom it gets deleted.
Unsubbing now, when "reviewers" sell themselves for chinese money it's no longer worth wasting time on them.

@@neroarchangel Yeah, I unsubbed. Tired of his garbage takes when he's getting sponsored. Shows he has not real ethics.
@@neroarchangel its not reviews anymore it is a video someone told him to do
I think it had to do with how he judges a game in the first place. Chinese p2w mobile mmo vs triple A game with a subscription, your expectations are different. I can understand the tolerance, cause we know this game s gonna last for two weeks and will remain a minor game in any real mmo player.
does it have "auto" battle/walk towards the NPC for quest?
I will be trying out this game for sure.
I don’t comment on your videos, but I must say that this MMO looks really good and I’m excited to play it!
intends to remove genderlock is wishful until they actually commit and do it honestly.
Its alot of work for these type of games where each of the models are rigged for their class skills etc, and until its actually being worked on actively and we see them starting to remove genderlocks on some classes it may as well just be honeyed words from devs to try and increase interest from a western push
Yup, they already showed the paladin and mage class without genderlock!
armchair youtube developers, gotta love them
Wouldn't they just need to change the skins/model?
Does it allow you to move your character holding down the left or right mouse button?
Yes
I like the idea of everybody seeing who they are playing with in the beginning of a dungeon/raid/bg.
WoW is not available in my country anymore, so i will definitely check Tarisland. Seems close enough.

Looks interesting. Will try out on launch.
Note: you can buy Skins using the Gold that you earn in game from the cash shop there is an option for gold change and you use also gold in auction.
Regarding P2W things what was in the past that crafting gear was as powerful as raid gears and you can buy them for gold now it is not the case crafting gear is 1 tier below raid gear and raid gear can't be sold according to reviews so no matter how much you pay you will have the lower tier and have to play the raids to get the best gear.
and almost everything in the game can be bought using gold except for the battle pass which is stated to have exclusive skins and mounts.
Overall, not much P2W as I was expecting but damn hell for collectors who will buy the pass every time to get the skins and the mounts for their collection.
good to hear that, game looks fun to play, and im ok to spend few bucks to support game, as long as its dont intrefer with balance. and if 8piece sets also change look thats good, never liked random look of my characters in wow/gw/gw2 and ppl anyway always celing in full set look.

Its a highly P2W mmo, the shop sells gear/upgraes for gear. Plus visual progression is locked to costumes in the shop.
lol they removed that, you can't buy the strongest gear and inscribed stone anymore with golds, which are the most important things, all the rest u get it by playing and in 10 days u have many things maxed so

It would be cool to be able to play as one of the Tauren race in this game.

Funny that this looks already way better visually
A very fun and good-looking game in itself. But unfortunately a big L, because Tarisland first advertised that it wasn't P2W and the cash shop is just such a big P2W. Even more embarrassing how Tarisland then removed all the adverts where it said in the titles that it wasn't P2W.
How is it P2W and where does it say that?
You cant buy the best gear in shop they removed that. Dungeons give the best gear now
I just cant take anything you say about this game seriously when you are sponsored by them.
Nice Video, hope to see you at launch
I tried an earlier Beta, and i found that the classes were all similar in the very simple builder spender mechanic, I found i got a little bored with the combat later in-game. Hoping its improved some what , it was impressive for a F2P multi/platform game
The devs are scummy, they oringinally said the game wouldn't have pay to win on their twitter then changed it and added pay to win. I won't be playing this game on release due to that.
Did you really expect a Chinese game to be good. Hells I would have been disappointed if they didn't make a bad game. 😆😆😆😆
Probably Tencent to blame for that and not the devs. But anyway, they did a massive change to monetization after all the drama in CBT2. Can no longer buy BiS BoE's on the auction house or craft BiS with buyable materials. The gems are also no longer bound to whatever gear piece they are slotted in. Finally, you can no longer buy that "essence" which let you level up your class tree on the auction house. It's actually looking very promising now, pretty much every concern was addressed. What they did was definitely scummy, but I honestly think we need to give them another chance. The game is looking really promising, I suggest joining their discord and reading the Development Updates.
It isn't pay to win If you play every day and know what you are doing its completely ftp, but realistically most players will not know what to do so they will find themselves behind so I would say it is pay to catch up. I ignored one aspect and ended up 2 days behind progress which sucked because after two more updated that loss compounded. So it creates higher archies that will sift people into progression levels.
@@Blueprint4MurderI'm sorry if anybody who defends and tries to explain microtransactions in 2024 is a f****** moron. Because it is bad for gaming is bad for everyone let's stop it with the defending pay to win bullshit!

Y'know, for being a game a lot of channels talked smack about ("We already have WoW at home" is a big 1) this game actually looks fun and pretty solid.🙂
Just in time ! Waiting for this games release
I gotta say this because i dont think people actually think about it. Yes visual progession is nice leveling up but when you reach endgame there is usually only a couple pieces of gear everone goes for so you all hust end up looking the same so in a sense costumes can fix that by customization of your looks
is there any energy kind of thing that limit us play this game 24/7 ? cuz im sick with those kind of limitation.
I would like for them to change the visual gear progression of the game, and this is a big ask but I personally hate quickslot skill MMOs since BDO but considering they only have a few skills for each class, I would like to have that key command type combat or whatever it's called like BDO but oh wells if it not's possible, will still try out the game. :)
The team boss fight is like crusaders of light, astig!
Nice can’t wait to play
The game looks solid, the only thing I think needs changed is that the classes are Gender and Race locked and that you cannot see the gear progression visually.
I think if they had visual progression I'd be sold on this game... not sure I can get past that though
I’m so down to go into this, simple, pretty and good pvp is all I’ve wanted
The first time I did a dungeon, I didn’t realize I was with NPC’s. I literally stood at a boss for 15 minutes waiting for the tank to pull. I was even typing in the chat and no one was answering me lol 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️

Tbh even if u gotta buy cosmetics this game has a world and environments that make me want to explore it it’s visually stunning and has the mechanics I love out of an mmorpg! Overall I’m excited to try it out
I find it amazing when some people defend no visual progression because of "Skins!!11". The great thing about a system where every gear piece has its own looks and you can transmog is, that you can mix and match different stuff and come up with your own unique style, not looking like thousands of other characters. A skin might look cool but there will be countless others running around in the same skin, making it not feel special.
The devs won't change it as this should have been done mid-development as ever piece of gear would need its own model and the system behind handling character looks would need work to support gear pieces shown on individual parts of the body for every race and body type.
Btw, I would also prefer classes not to be locked to one specific race. Are there different starting zones or does every class and race start in the same area?
