The truth is when methuselah died God gave Noah and his family the customary 7 days of mourning. In that 7 days the Lord and the angels got all of the animals on the arc. Then Noah and his family got on the arc. Then God sealed the door. Then the rain started.

Scarcely a thousand years, in fact, and they differ vastly in plot and details. The most logical theory is that both accounts reference a much, much, older historical diluvian event. If such a universal flood occurred, we would expect to find varying accounts from throughout the world dating hundreds or thousands of years apart. As a matter of fact, that's exactly what we've found: over 200 universal flood myths and legends in different cultures all over the world, even in Mesoamerica whose ancient peoples couldn't possibly have any contact with the beliefs of ancient Babylon.
@@isaiahwasabi1381 I’m saying Hollywood won’t allow Christian films so that is the reason the film is based on part of Genesis but so outlandish and practically a LOTR spinoff.
as a believer of the bible i enjoyed the watching it as watching lord of the rings...just fantasy entertainment..the only truth was the ark and the water..
@isaiahwasabi1381 the Bible's account is more epic and it's what actually happened. The book of Enoch is basically fan fiction. The actual account tells how the Watchers were villains, portraying themselves as gods and they were marrying women and having kids who grew up to be giant hybrid monsters who were violent, practiced cannibalism, and terrorized humanity. Noah was a faithful man in a line of faithful men who built an ark, preached to ppl to tell them what he was doing, was ostracized and mocked by the world around him. And it also could have showed how humans tried to retake the Garden of Eden. The actual story was action packed and not dumb and makes Noah and his family look like a retard.
The filmmakers didn't seem to realize that Noah was 600 by the time of the Flood; Enos, Kenan, Mahalalel, and Jared were all still alive when he was born. It also took 100 years to build the Ark.
Man the armor and weapons they have are pretty advanced for people who didnt know how to work steel yet or even know what steel is.. AHAHAHAAH medieval weapons before Moses huh? dang.
Hmm, I don't remember giants that looked like that in the flood story. Not that I take it literally, but I compare this movie to the original account and it's way lacking. Kind of like the movie about the Trojan war Brad Pitt made. That one didn't use to participation of the gods in it, it was sadly lacking.
This was a great movie. It brought me back to the Bible, back to God. They need to make more movies like this; I hope they start with the Book of Job. 🙂
The irony is that's actually what happened. In the bible, Noah's sons were married to cainanite women, which is how both the holy and unholy made it through to the other side of the flood.
@@thearchivistprimaea7292 I strongly believe that so long as the devil still existed and roamed earth that sin would have inevitably returned regardless of the Cainanite women
Why oh why can't Hollywood just stick to the script? The Midrash has more than enough to make this a great movie! They're idiots for not taking advantage of this!
Paramount is Mount Hermon. This is where the fallen angels descended. Their company logo has the fallen stars assembling around the first mountain (para-mount).
So, in this scene the guy that has his men charge at the ark mentioned Giants. There is a book that many writers from back then wanted to keep it out of the Bible. Its called The Book of Enoch; which mentions giants, and mythical stuff, and hoe the giants cane fron the fallen angels that went with human women. Also, this movie sucked like the desert drying up water bro. Lile, they tried to make it elder scrolls or something. In the Bible, Noah's sons already had wives in the ark, and I do not think an army of men chased them down to go into the ark. Third thing, in the Bible, God causes the flood to wipe out everything on earth because of the many sins were happening there; He saw it as "A non-perfect world" since the people were making it like that. So, he had Noah not only bring the last believers, which were his family, but also two of EACH animal on earth because God believe the world can also have chances. And if yoy think about it, when Jesus died, God was this close to destroying the world again. Now ask yourself, why didn't he do it; because for me, I have a good feeling Jesus showed his Father that there are good people out there who are willimg to believe, or do the right thing. Last thing to add is nobody knows how the flood started; in the movie it shows that it came from under ground, but I dont know about that. Theres a saying, God works in mysterious ways. Anyway enough of my ramble. In summary, this movie was basically made in Hollywood and wanted to try and correct people about what Hollywood believes in, not what Christians believe.
A nice action-packed movie full of suspense and drama!! However on the flip side, not a whole lot of scripture involved in this movie. Even though it's about a major figure in the Old testament or the Torah. A whole lot of nonsense in there.

If the Bible is real (which alot of its histroy is, it calls Ur the City of Abrahams Birthplace, Sodom and Gomorah were dug up filled with brimstone by Archeologists, the Destrution of Babylon were prophesised in the Bible and it was so utterly destroyed that not even pillars are left of that ancient city, like it said it would 800 years before its destruction in the Bible). than we would have no Idea what cities and cultures were like pre flood, but you can make a case they were decently advanced.
That was before the Flood came and reset humanity.
@@terminallove3531 That would actually be perfectly plausible if it were only far earlier.
Even though its not accurate, it was made for believers and non believers to watch. The main point is that God destroyed all life on earth.
No, He did not.
Also ps for these Christians that are mad it's not about the scenes it's about the meaning and interpretation

The creator seems to be playing an over head strategy game. This must be last major battle before the campaign ends.
It's either something like WC3 or AOM. The way the giant spirits fly up into the air reminds of that.
Honestly? This doesn't look *terrible.* Might be a fun time.
It's honestly not bad and has some pretty decent parts. It just feels like it's 12 hours long. The pacing is awful.

The truth is when methuselah died God gave Noah and his family the customary 7 days of mourning. In that 7 days the Lord and the angels got all of the animals on the arc. Then Noah and his family got on the arc. Then God sealed the door. Then the rain started.

Technically and truly we are all sinful rebellious people who do NOT deserve Heaven but by Gods grace through faith in the Son Jesus Christ’s death/ resurrection we have eternal life because all our sins are punished and paid for in full through Him which means that Gods justice remains Perfect having no sin go left unpunished and it also demonstrated the greatest act of love for us!

I was only like 11 years old a time once I went to place from the neighbhorhood had some kinds of reunions and like a get together they use to play baseball but like a small scale, then after they use to break piñatas every person was taking turns until it gets broken and all the candy is released then everyone who is around will try to catch whatever candy they can, I guess you already know, I was stomped and caught in the feets and boots of everyone in there I though that would be my end, it felt an eternity in a matter of seconds, horrible experience, now imagine more than a hundred full grown 200 pound man with iron and boots going at you and stuck to a chain with a broken foot, I really hated that scene, she was better off alone she would have never met that kid, probably she would be ok or at least drown but not hit to death, I can relate way to much in this.

Epic of Gilgamesh predates Noah story by 5,000 years. It’s plagerised.
Calm down its just a movie
Abraham came from Sumaria. So no surprise he would know Sumarian history and would use it to educate his descendants.

When you want to make a Christian film but you’re in Hollywood, this is what you get.
Are you saying that Hollywood turns Christian Films into Trash?
If so, then you are not lying
@@isaiahwasabi1381 I’m saying Hollywood won’t allow Christian films so that is the reason the film is based on part of Genesis but so outlandish and practically a LOTR spinoff.
@AshTheStash Dude, that's Girl's Death at the start always gets me 😬
Aronofsky is a secular Jew who, by his own admission, purposely made this film in opposition to the Biblical account.
Ahhhh, yes! Now I remember reading about those gargoyles in Exodus.
Gargoyles?
as a believer of the bible i enjoyed the watching it as watching lord of the rings...just fantasy entertainment..the only truth was the ark and the water..

I know they’re not “accurately” but the nephelim were by far the best part of this movie
This movie would have been much more epic if they had portrayed it accurately.
@@matthewcarter1973 what do you mean?
That girl's death never actually happened
The greatest myth ever told after the resurrection.
This was so unbiblical

All the comments about biblical accuracy....oh the irony, won't someone think of the irony!
Great action fantasy. Not Biblically accurate at all.
The irony.

What do you mean?
This was a great movie. It brought me back to the Bible, back to God. They need to make more movies like this; I hope they start with the Book of Job. 🙂
This was nothing like the Bible
Noah knew if she was saved and bred with ham it'll start all over again after the flood

They were not the Giant = Nephilim. They are watchers angels of Creation. The giant = Nephilim = The Annunaki of Nibiru.
Warner Bros. Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Regency Enterprises, Atlas Entertainment & Malpaso Productions
Paramount is Mount Hermon. This is where the fallen angels descended. Their company logo has the fallen stars assembling around the first mountain (para-mount).
Atlas was a nephilim "god". One of the fallen ones. They became the Greek and Roman gods.
This movie obviously was adapted from the bible but this is more of hilarious than supposedly amazing.
Again I watched the wrong noah again.
