    What's *your* thoughts on the Micro?

  • @Pridetoons
    @Pridetoons 6 днів тому +78

    The fact this Handheld has Brick-Like Ergonomics and Subpar Shoulder Buttons at the price of $200 makes this Handheld an instant non-purchase for me.

    • @KogaHarine
      @KogaHarine 6 днів тому +3

      Yeah the shoulder buttons alone killed my interest. I really just want something in the form factor of the Miyoo A30 with more power so I can have a truly pocketable device that can play all my retro games.

    • @Pridetoons
      @Pridetoons 6 днів тому

      @@KogaHarine Like for Real, how could they F'up this Handheld THIS badly!? All they needed to do was make a Micro Version of the RG351P or PlayGo aka Miyoo Max with a 3:2 screen and people like me would have instantaneously bought it.

    This is the first BassDerek review I've watched. He's got solid production values and a chill demeanor. I thought this was an excellent review.
    I get what AYANEO were trying to accomplish with this handheld. I don't at all understand how they screwed up the wired audio situation; but, everything else they did looks like a win. I love that it runs Android because I can see myself using it as a DAP for streaming music at work - saving some battery on my phone.
    Am I going to buy one with my own money? I don't know. The external size is both its biggest benefit and biggest curse. On one hand I can get handhelds with much more impressive screens and processors for the same or less money. On the other, the best handheld is the one you've got with you. By that metric my R36S is often the greatest handheld in the world. This unit appears to be the right size and shape to be easily front pants-pocket-able while still packing a reasonable performance punch.

      Over time, we learned that we didn't have to settle for such a shitty design though, there's literally no benefit to the design of this device beyond style over function, they are clearly banking on people buying this as a display piece rather than the high-end gba workhorse it could have easily been with a better design.

    I feel like i nit pick these devices too much, for example: if it where a "litte bigger here" or had "this there"... etc. so it eventually becomes a desktop pc lol. These "Pocket handhelds" are perfect for "pocket adventures", like going to the bench seats in whatever store because i was volunteered to go shopping with the "significant other" lol hahaha muhahaha!

    I backed this based on the marketting but the reviews quickly made me refund. It's like the worst aspects of a larger and smaller device in one at a premium price.
    Usually I don't think it matters but here I'm waiting for people who paid for the device to review it before considering getting one.
    As I feel like I'd also like it and be enamored by "build quality" if I received it for free as well, but completely not worth the current price with what it offers and what its lacking.
