Prayers for both of y'all . . . .for losing your aunt, Christy, and to feelin better, Callie. Blessins for 2024.
I picked 6 charts to do on the 12 by 12 on the 31st. Made it for 1 hour and on the second hour I received a call from my sister that she was in hospital, so 2 hours later after I made more calls I started again and then my daughter came to cook dinner for me and to visit so I gave up. I have done the Heifr board. I have added quilting on it along with the cross stitch. First time for me to do anything like that, I hope I can keep up on it. Thank you for sharing your stitching and stories with all of us.
I hope Callie is feeling better and I hope Christy doesn't get sick. You two bring such a smile to my face. Love watching you!
Bless you Callie! 😞 Our household had the flu for 2 weeks. Had to wait almost 2 weeks to see our newborn grandchild. He came right in the middle of it.

So sorry you are sick, Callie! I had the flu AND a sinus infection Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! Waiting list at the clinic was 9 hours long so by the time I got to my doctor, it was too late for Tamiflu. Had to FT to watch my grandson open his gifts. I also had the flu shot but felt worse from the sinus infection. You would think we would lose weight as much as we blow our noses. Christy so sorry for your loss. Love y'all! Keep up the good work!

Oh my, 12by12, by the time I’d get my hour stitch ready, I’d have to go to the bathroom. Thus I’d probably only get a few dozen stitches in before I had to start again.

My husband knows exactly how you feel Callie. He got the flu the Thursday before Christmas. He got lost coming home Thursday night because of his high fever. We went to the emergency room early Friday morning. He is on the mend. Thank you for sharing your stitching and haul. Happy New Year.

You cracked me up when you had a bag that wasn’t open yet from the haul sounds familiar 🤔…I bought some Vicki Clayton silks for the floral motif sampler from the Scarlett house and I love them..I hope you have the same experience with them..I have never tried NPI..I like that Vicki’s silks come on a bobbin so easy storage..I bought a bobbin box and works great..Happy Stitching you two..🙋♀️
I was sick for Christmas and ended up spending the day by myself so I wouldn't get my kids sick. Completely understand not wanting to share illness. Nice to see you ladies even if aren't together. Get well soon Callie and my thoughts are with your family Christy.

So sorry Christy for the loss of your aunt and Callie it’s the worst time to get sick with the flu! Our family had the flu for Christmas so I didn’t do any baking and all 3 of us worked together in the kitchen to make a Christmas meal. Be careful with the flu mine ended up going into bronchitis so it has taken me longer to get better. If either of you gals get a chance Cohana has the best seam ripper. The blade is narrow and it slips easily between the floss or the linen! I have been sharing your southern slang…fly flap and the word for too much mucous with my husband and daughter. Get better and keep recording the videos I really enjoy them!

Somehow i missed hearing about the Heifr board...not sure how. BUT I transferred my WIPGO board to a HEIFR board this morning...just put what was in the January WIPGO call in the squares called for the HEIFR and I am on my way. I am doing the 2024 Year of Wips, too. Callie i hope you're better soon! And i love when you talk about your job. I am an RN supervisor for private duty in home nursing and have also worked in a SNF/long term care prior to home care. My brother and I will have to move our mom to Assisted Living with a dementia component very soon. I hope that someone like you will be in charge there, especially since i live in Pennsylvania and mom (and brother) are in Tennessee.

I was getting worried about you as you haven't been here to visit. Sorry you all have had illness/death in the family at Christmas time. I certainly know how that feels! This year everyone around me has been down with covet. I missed that but, got a nasty case of sinus infection for over a week. Starting to feel better.
