I LOVE WIPGO!! I have gotten all 12 of my 2023 projects stitched by Nov 13!! So, I have used my "extra time" to plan out 2024. I will have 24 WIPGO projects and 12 quilts. I should never say I'm bored or have nothing to do, as I'm also a QOV Co-Leader and we need to wrap 50 Veterans in 2024!!
Love seeing all you treasures from you Retreat. I agree, may not get much stitching done - but the community is so helpful, warm & welcoming it refills my soul!! I'm planning on 3 "sleep at home" quilt retreats and 1 or 2 "pop-up" stitching retreats in 2024!!

I am very new to cross stitch, and I just adore your FlossTube. I am from “lower AL”, a true country girl that loves the outdoors and stitching, quilting, fabrics, and flosses. Thank you so much for sharing all the fun things you did at retreat. I have never been to one, but would really enjoy.

Can’t find my previous comment about the Primitive Merry Christmas pillow, but I found the welcome stitchery floss tube where they showed it finished. It’s #27. If you’ve never watched them, they are hilarious. So much fun to watch! They are in Wisconsin. Boy, what I would give to get that pattern, maybe one day they will reprint it. Love your floss tubes!!!

I love your southern nicknames. I’m still laughing about a pageant participant called pot roast. I was lucky enough o visit the Colour & Cotton store in September. The floss wall was so pretty it made me weak in the knees. Have a great Thanksgiving.

I LOVE retreats. Sounds like that was a great one. I see so many familiar faces in the clips at the end. Love them all!! Puss sounds so much like my Kiki demanding her needs be met. WOW what a retreat!!! I wish we had an LSN near me but it's at least 150 miles in any direction. Way to far so will have to settle for online shopping. I know the Cracker Barrell in Dothan, Al is packed out on Saturdays. I imagine Sundays too. Loved hearing and seeing all your goodies. 1,2,4, 6

Girls!!!! you talk about shopping online… I have gotten to be an expert since Covid in 2020 Walmart delivers all my groceries and I don’t go out for anything. I have lung disease, and I am extremely susceptible to even little colds. So stay at home, hunkering down, and stitching is my thing.

What a great retreat. I too have told myself that 2024 will be a stitch my stash year. No new patterns, fabric, or threads. I like the idea of making a list of new patterns I like and then checking that list on January 1, 2025. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7. Happy Thanksgiving.

I stitched the Merry Christmas abby rose. what a BEAR!!! there were a couple of symbols and colors so close in color, etc, that I struggled. It was worth it in the end. Oh and I think there is an error in the chart. I think on her facebook group it has the correction. good luck!

As a young Mother with 5 children (the oldest was 6) I went to the mall on Black Friday not knowing there was just a thing! Carrying a baby in one arm and my sewing machine in the other I was struggling to get in the door A man finally came up and said let me get the door for you. My machine was acting funny and I had two Christmas dresses to make. They fixed my machine while I waited. The man that fixed it said he couldn't believe I was there on Black Friday. I told him I didn't even know there was such a thing. I was able to get the dresses finished even though the kids all came down with the chicken pox! No help in caring for them from my now ex. The mall was about 45 minutes from my house so once I was there I had to go in.

Yours turned out so well. Both of you had so much eye candy from your haul - so fun to see it all. I think I also need to concentrate on stitching my stash- if I live to be 300 I probably have enough to stitch (well at least the patterns, and actually a lot of fabrics too).
