I have learned a lot about fleece in the last week. Some of my fears have been alleviated. The GuineaDad fleece is easy to clean. Timmy has seemed a lot more mobile on the fleece. Thank You Karen! We love this kind caring man
You are welcome and yes MI is for Michigan (I live at the base of the thumb on the mitten 😉) I wash it 3 times and dry it before i sew with it. This preps the fleece so it will wick away the pee and be absorbed into the middle layer. Washing instructions: wash in cold or warm water with "Free" laundry soap and some clear vinegar, do not use fabric softener, and dry on low or medium.
Goodwork ❤️❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍
I was wondering were in Michigan you are located I live in Michigan too and love the fleece you made if you could contact me though Email robynscrimger@yahoo.com

Do you have an online shop? I would love to buy from you. Do you use u-haul material for the absorbent layer?
You're a wonderful person!!! Xxx
I guess you are in business now Karen!
I love how this dude is always so appreciative of gifts.
I love how they all got excited when you opened the package. Too cute. Don't feel guilty. You're an awesome Guinea dad. Mines getting spoiled even more because I've learned so much from you.
Mine have also have a better life thanks to Scotty. I made mine a deal when I rescued them, That I could not control their past, but I would make their lives a little better each day. Today I discovered they like Chicory, tomorrow we will see :) These videos help so much with that.
@@violetone good deal. :) I rescued mine from being snake food. Today I found a small cyst on the back of her neck that bothers her a bit so vets ASAP :( she's only a baby, under 6 montgs
@@lissapepper It blew my mind when I found there were many bred for that. Good on you. That is a major improvement on the day before you saved her, hey :) One of mine came pregnant. I hope she is okay and its nothing major.. How long have you had her?
@@violetone oh my babies. I've had her 2-3 months but I've had guineas off and on for years but I never knew how naive I was til I came across Scotty and saskia from la Guinea pig rescue. There's no resources like them in my area of the states at all really. The closest recues are a few hours away and they're maxed out
@@lissapepper agreed. There is a severe lack here, but that's part of being down under. I found one nearby, but discovered they were also breeders and it just didn't feel right. I have been looking for places I can volunteer. When time allows I'll set up my own rescue and try to make a dent in Australia at least. The need is epic. And each pig makes a difference in my book. I've always planned to move into rescue, now I know what at least.
I realised I knew nothing and thankfully found scotty and saskia. I'm still learning. And just when I need to know they post a video.
When I first got my girls I was using that carefree bedding. Fleece seemed to expensive because they're usually around $60 a pop which for me is chunk of cash to shell out. But in the long run they pay for themselves and you're not throwing out shavings or bedding every week. Fleece is so much easier to care for and I think the piggies like it better too. Glad to see the boys in the pocket, I can't say how much I love the Guinea Dad liners!!
Scotty you are so funny. Love watching your old videos 😍
I had to try and explain what I was cackling about to my partner because he could hear me across the apartment through his headphones during the guinea pig cereal commentary. He was so confused, lol.
Lunch Bunch Piggies, we have inside jokes now! #Fruitypoops
This fleece looks much better! And my appendix is still with me 😂
That was so kind of the lady who sent you the fleece. Scott is a caring person also by giving his piggies CBD.
thank YOU Scotty!!! you will never know how grateful I am for all of your 101 tips...
Karen did a beautiful job on the fleece! I love the tie dye!
Scotty you are the reason I'm getting a guinea pig thanks to the information you provided my dad said yesssssss
You are a good person. I think you are very deserving of gifts. I hope more good things come your way. From new fan from Chicago.
Love the new fleece! Super happy for you!♡
Scotty you're like a kid on Christmas day! 😊 That cage looks great, everything's looking so coordinated & Pipsqueak looks happy. He so sweetly waited patiently for you to apply that cbd gel. So precious! God bless that generous lady who sewed together such beautiful fleece. I'm a huge fleece fan. 👍👍👍💟💜💙
Yes I'm so appreciative of Karen, bless you to Maggie thank you!
Maggie J , Pipsqueak just had to photobomb Timmy’s moment...LOL
Oh those fleeces were lovely how thoughtful the look on your 😔 Scottie was adorable your eyes lit up the room and the Guinea s loved it. ♥
What about a fruity poops t-shirt with a guinea pig I guess it would have to be Timmy instead of two can Sam?! I will get on that next week. I love all of you guys you are hilarious
You are crackin me up! 😂😂😂
Scotty's Animals genius
Anything with Timmy on it! I adore that little guy!
Man you need a head mounted go pro. Much better instead of changing angles all the time. Do you follow @skinnypigs1?
Omg I love that ! Make it happen Scotty. Love from sunny Australia
You crack me up. I've just started watching your videos as my son's birthday is today and he is getting guinea pigs for his birthday. I've been busy making a bunch of stuff for the piggies and their new home so we've been doing a lot of research on piggies and cages, etc...and I enjoy your videos. Love the cactus and tie-dye fleece, Karen! Love the pigs too.❤️
Wow! That was really nice of Karen! Beautiful work! I'm happy she did that for you!
Beautiful fleece! I love fleece leaps and bounds over anything else. It's so clean and keeps things odor free. Not to mention you can change out to some really cute prints! We line ours with uhaul pads which is recycled denim. Don't feel guilty for not doing it sooner - you're doing it now - he is so happy and mobile. You're an incredible Guinea Pig Dad and they all know it.
With the help of this video I have joined the fleece-lover army! Thank you for this!
Scotty you're such a nice person I love watching your video's and how you care so much for Animals.
I made a liner from fleece and it was very time consuming and pricey as my piggies habitat is 3’ x 6’ and when looking for a more affordable solution that would be absorbent but still dry well, I came across mover’s blankets at the local Home Depot. They were the perfect size and I was able to get a dozen of them for what it cost me to make one fleece liner and my piggies love it. Just a suggestion to anyone on a tight budget or who don’t sew. And thank you, Scotty for your channels, I swear your my brother from another mother...LOL
Rollen Smith how do you clean it. All the movers blankets I looked at say they are not machine washable
Love this guys commentary! Way more funny than half the stuff on tv
I'm really liking this better than paper bedding because it's a cleaner dust free environment, it's easier to maintain clean, you just shake off the droppings, or brush them away, then wash and replace. I think the little piggies are in a safer, cleaner home this way. Better for all concerned. Their health is ours too.
One secret that I found is definitely run the dirty fleece under the shower and rinse off all that absorbed pee otherwise they will never smell clean and I pity the people using the washer afterwards
@@ScottysAnimals .... using white vinegar mixed in water (in addition to clear and clear detergent) is a life saver....takes the smell out. I put in the spot where bleach is supposed to go in the washer ( i never use bleach anyway). I also tend to run my washer on a rinse/clean cycle before doing our regular clothes in the washer :-)
how incredibly thoughtful!! people can be so kind.
Throw back! This is such a cute video. Look how excited you were!
After watching this, I'm going to make a trip to the fabric store and get same fleece. Thank you Scotty!
Love the colors
You know I have been waiting years for you to come over to the fleece lover dark side muwahahahaha
I was waiting for you to chime in Valerie! It's only because of Timmy
Timmy deserves only the best!
I, too, have joined the fleece lover dark side, because it's a better option for my piggies lol!
@@daisyvang1576I think scott has really joined the dark side, hes talking about how he can match his rainbow log tunnel to the different prints!
🤣🤣🤣 it took me a little bit also, but now that I did in happy. I still do use a little potty in the corner with bedding in it because mine go pee in that so all I have to do is sweep up poops 😊😊😊
Scotty, I’m so happy for Timmy. He’s so lucky to have you as a dad. I loved how excited and genuinely happy and grateful you were for the liners. ❤️ lol @ #fruitypoops
#fruitypoops lol
OMG dude you make me laugh so much. Thanks for all the tips. Being a first time piggie owner you have helped greatly. Thanks dude
Sing away Scotty! Love your vids and awesome piggy tips! Thank you :)
I make my fleece liners too, I've always like being crafty so I used it as a chance to buy my first sewing machine. Worthy investment. Making a lot of pee pads really made a big difference too. I put them anywhere they like to sleep in, makes it really easy to spot clean. Timmy is really lucky to have a dad like you.
Haha, you are fun and humorous! Whistling and singing while you work.
I have been through hind leg deterioration with a few of my boy rats. The switch to fleece has helped them maintain more mobility in the cage every time. Lucky boy Timmy
I use those types of fleece inserts for our girls. So easy to use and I love the different patterns you can get.
Omg I’m so jealous..glad Timmy is getting the extra comfort. I did bust up at your singing..love it lol and now my husband is singing it...
Holly lol
Now we’re really like kindred spirits...I’m bird sitting for my aunt...her cockatiel “pumpkin” is at my house for 10 days :) my house has 7 guinea pigs a cockatiel and 2 dogs. Full house lol
Lol
Great singin" , hilarious lyrics, awesome piggys and advice and heart!
I can't thank you enough for your videos. I love, love guinea pigs. Hubby won't let me have any more since George died because I am allergic to guinea pigs and insanely allergic to hays and mold. You have a soft low voice that I can listen to when I have a migraine and can't read. Your videos save me on bad days.
Nice!!! Love the tye dyed fleece. And love the piggies!
My piggies are going to be on fleece. I've been researching like crazy on food, best bedding cages etc. I watch you and LA and skinnypigs1 I think is her channel. I learn everything before I get a pet so they'll have the best life possible 💖. I really really love the tie dye and cactus fleece liner it's adorable!!! Seeing timmy so happy is so sweet 😍!
Great job Karen they are awesome
I love the colours !
That fleece is really fantastic!!!
"trippy side up"
I love this dude!
Oh my gosh🤣🤣🤣🤣I love your sense of humor Scotty
I love your commentary too 😂 I plan on using fleece liners and pee pads for our guinea pig which we haven't got yet. But I want a perfect home for him or her when she or he arrives. Plus the best care and your videos are helping so much.
Karen has a super fleece making talent. Lucky piggies in Scotty's care.
Looks great!
lol i love your voice when you did the little fruity poops commercial youre so funny dude
They will help lots. I have one in same fabric. Put the extra one in high traffic areas and the main fleece will last longer between washes.
I'm a fleece girl
Guinea pigs are spoiled and very much loved ❤️
I’m 49 on Tuesday and I get my first ever guinea pigs on Sunday I’m super excited....but so nervous I wanna do right by my new friends so I’m gonna be binge watching 😍
made me cry, how kind!
Oh, Timmy, what a blessed piggy! So, so happy for Timmy, he deserves it! I am waiting on getting some Guineadad liners soon, they look great! Scotty I use fleece too, in both my cages, everything is fleece, and you can put a piece of large absorbent material under the piggy pocket in the Guineadad liner so it doesn't get as bad under there, and you can use it a few more days! You are hilarious in this video, and the reason it has two sides of design is because you can flip it over and use the cactus design one time and the tie dye the next time! Please kiss Timmy for me!
Kissed!
You’re so funny! I love your channel!
Yesss don't you just love fleece it's so nice and easy to clean 😍
I have just found you. You are hysterical!
Love that fleece! The I've got the same cactus one and that tie dye is sick!
Its a happy world in there. Here's my Pro Tip. If you use a frontload washer like I do, it will want to spin fast to dry them out at the end. My fleece load for some reason will never balance out. The material is light but the water is heavy. It spins, wobbles, stops and tosses the load back and forth to try to balance it, then tries again... many times. Fleece is delicate, so all this tossing about isnt good for it. I found the solution was choose no spin at the end of the cycle. Then let it sit for about 10 minutes to let most of the water drip out. Then run a seperate spin only cycle. It spins right up to high speed on the first try. This saves wear on the fleece, saves power, and actually takes less time.
So happy for you & Timmy! It was so funny to see Pipsqueek video bombing! Lol 🤣🐹❤ he's like "what's going on over there? I want in on it. Lol they get new bedding huh what about me" 😂😂😂
Awww we all 💕 you and all the babies. I got some Mary’s CBD OIL and a few other things through LAGPR TODAY. so glad it came in
That cactus is Adorbs for your little guy. Karen is awesome.
So totally cool!!
you are so consistent.
I love watching you with the piggies! I am currently looking for a cbonded pair, preferably one would be a sheltie.
I never had my appendix out. Also its a great fleece liner, I need a sowing machine! And some trippy material. Guinea dad fleece looks like it holds up well. Found u on Instagram too.
If u ever host a radio show, ppl would love ur commentary.
Joann's Fabrics or believe it or not Walmart are the two places that I know to get good fleece
Hey a good bargain is always worth it! I've got plenty for my bunny on sale:D
i hope u see this even though this video is really old but I love learning stuff from you and your very funny
Scott ur amzing!!!!!
Timmy was so patient letting you put the oil on him. Our guineas only stand that still for veggies.
The white piggie in the back is like where is my love at n my treats lol
Guineadad made my life with fleece so so easy I can't believe it and the piggies love it so much. My 8 year old lady is running again :D
I’m getting a guinea pig soon you inspired me!😉
Aha good information on fleece..I'm interested in trying fleece you are very funny too
I would love one of those ‘fruity poops’ t- shirts!!
Whoa wait a minute this dude is awesome af
Other tip put a bit of vinegar in with wash.it helps clean it and wicking. Don't use fabric softener or the pee won't wick. Mine love fleece. Keeps their feet dry.
I Also have smaller ones I put under the tunnels and houses as this is where they Dirty the most.
Thanks for the tip! I'm just getting the guineadad fleece today and mines getting a new hidey and water bottle. She's getting spoiled even more thanks to Scotty 😂
@@Stitchmad1243 Just simple dirt cheap white vinegar. It cost me $1 for 2 Litres. I put about 2 TBSP in the wash and the same as a rinse instead of fabric softener. It gets the muck (like white spots etc) and smell out and they absorb the urine a lot better. I find they also last longer between washes.
@@lissapepper NIce, she will love it. Mine Zoom around on the fleece a lot more than they did on shavings. When i rescued them they had only known newspaper. You will have a very happy girl. I have a herd of 5 females and they live a life of soft furnishing :) Wheek Wheek
@@Stitchmad1243 I'm in Melbourne Australia :)
Do you put anything underneath it?
I just got some fleece for my piggies to see how they react. I've only had them for a few weeks now, so I'm trying to get to know them and their personalities better. We just put fleece in today and they immediately started popcorn-ing. I also quickly noticed the difference once I removed the bedding from the house. I've been having to use my inhaler a lot since I got them. Hoping fleece will help with asthma. Only downfall is we have a huge setup and plan to expand more, so will definitely have to buy lots more fleece.
It looks perfectly color coordinated with the house and bendy bridge
I'm digging your style mannnn. Please make a song dedicated to Guinea pigs, lol.
"Cause the pigs spent some time in the dessert" nice
How big is your cage? I think have an extra 2x4 fleece for you! /I had my appendix out at 13
i love fleece liners and put layers of newspapers underneath, last about a week with daily picking up poo-poo bullets)) also use small fleece pads for sleeping and eating spots that I flip over when wet...
Love the announcer voice!
timmy looks a lot more mobile on the fleece glad its working well
I tnink your an awsome dude love your vids👍🤣😂❤xx
We got our order today. We are very happy with it so far and Guinea pigs love it too. Had one question though. Can we put it in the dryer? During winters I don’t think we can fry it out.
I also make all my piggies fleeces! It's fun
Thank you for this! Have a happy wheek! (Did you get that pun?)
guineafriends.com :) Pleaseee check out the site, like it, and comment, if I get a 500 views I get to get another guinea pig!
Hello from Canada 🇨🇦 first of all thank you for your amazing educational videos! My guinea pig goes under the fleece and does not come out for long periods of time. I’m afraid he will suffocate! I had clipped the fleece to the borders but he still manages to get under the blanket! Your thoughts are appreciate. Thank you 🙏🏻
O m g!!! Looks like im gonna b buying guinea pig dad fleece, wow, ive been having issues washing and getting hay off of fleece
I have a question. You didnt replace the hay area when you changed the fleece..how do you clean there because they must pee and poop there too?
I’ve just put the last of my aspen shavings in my Cocoa’s cage and will now switch to fleece and towels.
The grey piggy is sooooo cute
What water bottle do you prefer that doesn’t leak as much. I’ve been on a hunt and they all wet the bedding by the next morning
“Fruity poops”! 😂
Thats exactly how I clean mine ...easy!
Fleece so much cleaner and eco friendly, I have 2 sets for my girls custom cage. One plain cream and one rainbow stripe set each with co-ordinating beds and hidey bags. It’s a pity you tube doesn’t allow pics in the comment section.
Is sniffing the dirty fleece optional? 😂😂 well done to Karen beautifully made fleece and look how happy they are
