Lots of you requested more tutorials and patterns on how to make the cozy beds, and so far I have released the cuddle cup one! 😃 Check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/IJRU4c4rpUA/v-deo.html
@Squeak Dreams I would buy them. Can you make extra small pads, the same size as the panel of the cage. I want to be able to replace soiled areas without changing large pads with clean areas each time.
Just tried this at home and made a couple of waterproof fleeces which worked very well in the cage for my two piggies! I don’t have the machine so I just sewed them by my hands, took a while but it was really fun! I used pet pads for my piggies before and not happy with that as the liquid can flow back easily when piggies stepped or lie on it so I have to changed it twice a day. The best part about those fleeces is that you can get it with the perfect size for your cage! Highly recommend everyone to try this and this video is amazing !
I made two sets of pads per “pee and poo spots”. After 2-3 days, I switch out the used pad for the back up pad. After another 2-3 days, the whole set gets replaced with another set of fleece cage liners and coordinating pads are put into the cage. So far, this schedule has kept the cage from getting smelly!
Just wanted to thank you for this video. I spent hardly any money making my liners from material I already had at home. Only bought a waterproof sheet. My piggies sat in their house for two hours paralyzed after I put in the fleece. Then magic happened. Peach looked so happy running around on this solid material underneath her feet. She has been jumping and running and exploring. So cute. Daisy is more of a laid back one, but she does look happy too. 🥰
Very helpful! I like how Roxie was in the hammock when you were putting it back and how you almost put the pad for the wooden arch right on top of her.
Sarah! You're the Best! Your tutorials are exact and thorough. Our 5 piggies must love your voice because they all wake up and squeak when I watch how to improve their habitat. Open habitat now in progress. Fleece layers are ready to sew. Opa is busy with recommended square footage plans. Thank you so much.
Oh thank you for your expertise in what is needed for piggies! It's nice to be able to have others such as yourself to give advice and ideas!Cheers from a "squirrel mom".
I love your sewing videos! Your instructions are very clear and easy to follow even though I'm not an experienced seamstress! I've just bought a sewing machine and I'll give this a try! 😊
Thank you so much! My nan hates shopping online and there would be no way she would let me get some piggies if I had to shop online. So this is great! I can just make my own bedding and beds :D
Heh my Nan is the complete opposite I was talking about using fleece in my pig’s bed and my Nan was like “I’ll buy it for you, is it on Amazon” (she has prime so we will get it the next day)
Oh!! I love you now. You have lots of videos and all good and NO unnecessary talking that has nothing to do with video. I want to try fleece now, that is once i buy a GP. Haven't had one in over 30 years, I plan on adopting one now. ❤
thank you so much for your tutorials! all of your videos are edited wonderfully, and i really like your style of teaching! since a guinea pig fell into my lap earlier this week, i've been binging all your videos and working hard to give my rescued piggies a great life
Fluffy beds..yes please. I watch these rituals mtutorials with my previous grand daughter aged 8. The piggies are kept at our home so she gets to interact when she's here. We are in nz She's learning alot. Thank you so much
I knew there was a reason I kept my sewing machine when i didn’t have time to do cuddly toy kits anymore! I was subconsciously planning ahead for a lifetime of rainbow fleece couture! x
My mum has made me some of these for our guinea pigs, she also sews your items on etsy. I love watching your videos 😊. I'm only 10 but my mum does most of the care for them.
TYSM for sharing this video. I don't have piggies, but I hv a new puppy n wanted an alternative to disposable pads. I used to make reusable menstrual pads and had a lot of leftover material so decided to make reusable piddle pads instead of purchasing. The mattress protector I got for 20$ off Amazon (KING SIZE!) and I've made 3 so far with over half left over. I used Zorb for the absorbent layer since I already had it on hand, and cute fleece out of my stash as well. They are PERFECT! She learned so quickly where to potty. But every time I make a new 1 I check ur video to remind myself of the order of the materials. Mine are much larger, but same exact concept. So, ty again, for sharing. Well done piggy mama 👏 😘 ❤️

Love this video. Thank you. I've just got piggies again after a 15 year gap and am looking at moving over to fleece as a more sustainable liner and this information was so helpful.

@@lindaashley9130 is it one of the hidies that has a permanent opening that gapes up? I’ve seen some like that and maybe that style would work better. Very helpful video thank you...😁 My daughter is the new piggy owner but she still lives with us... Loving them so much and love seeing yours as I'm a new subbie.
