Restoration of Siku Porsche 911 No. V234. An old spring model, a toy from the old days. Die-cast.

Today I am restoring the iconic Porsche 911 model from the famous German diecast manufacturer Siku. The car is a police version. It was produced in the early 1970s. Siku introduced a wheel model that corresponded to Lesney's Superfast wheels. My model was missing a signal lamp and an antenna. I made the signal lamp based on a similar lamp from the Lesney Ford Farlane model, while the antenna was made of black 3D printer filament. The Porsche required two-tone painting. Its signs on the hood and doors were originally made using pad printing. I made the inscriptions using decals. To complete the whole thing, I made a cardboard box. I used a Porsche model produced until 1969 in Germany. I couldn't find the original box for this model on the Internet. I invite you to subscribe to the channel. Schön gemacht. Aber die Pappschachtel stammt von einem viel älterem Model des 911-Polizei-Porsches. Und isch weis, das das mit den bedruckten Felgen schwierig nachzumachen ist. Ist aber auch immer ein Problem. Sonnst aber super gemacht. Wie immer.

Dans les années '80 j'ai fait une visite au Pays Bas. Sur une autoroute (Amsterdam-La Haye) j'ai vu une patrouille Porsche (911 je crois)... surpris, j'ai demandé pourquoi. On m'a répondu: c'est la seul voiture qui peut rattraper un fugitive à toute vitesse!

Nice work. Concerning the bleeding of the masking tape (green). Spray the edges of tape 1st with clear coat. Stops bleeding. The edges won't come lose either. It shapes the tape permanently.

Fantastic job, Paul! Just one remark: the box you have made and put the little toy car in was not the one suitable for this because this version is model No. 1316 (Porsche 911 Targa Autobahn-Streifenwagen) distributed already in a blister not in paper box. The old V235 (Porsche 901 Autobahn-Streifenwagen) - police version of V234 Porsche 901 - was a little bit different, with openable trunk lid at the front.

Il gel v33 si adatta meglio alle nuove vernici e alla verniciatura a polvere, mentre la soda caustica è molto migliore con i vecchi rivestimenti in resina con additivi al piombo

As a rule, acrylic base paints are used. After drying, they are in a mat and then I apply a clearcoat with a hardener, also a car one. The colors are from the pantone pattern.

the blue light was made of epoxy resin dyed with a resin dye
