    Having just finished Stephen West’s MKAL 2021 Shawlography project, this looks like a relaxing “breather” project to make as a gift for a friend. I just love the colors. 😃 Thank you.

    This is so lovely it's gonna be my next project! What size needles did you use?

      Thanks so much and so glad to hear you are going to try it! I used US size 10 (6.0 mm) 29 inch circular needles. I have this info and the pattern in the video description field (click on the drop down below the video to see the details). Hope this helps and best wishes for the project!🤗

    Hi! This is Patrice again! Welcome to the year 2020! This is one beautiful shawl that you did! If you ever saw Goidknit Kisses step-it-up dragon tail shawl, yours remind me of her project, only you have interesting little "teeth' on this shawl, and it is very beautiful!! I intend to try out this great looking shawl, because it looks easy! My question for sure is, since you started off with12 stitches, finishing it off with those "peco style 'teeth', do you count by 2 on the stitches to bind off the teeth, say 12, 14, 16, etc...correct? Thank you Knittycat! I really, really enjoyed this video!

      Great to hear from you again, Patrice! So glad you liked this shawl (there are several of these shawl videos out there and I'd been meaning to make one of my own for so long). For your question, on the bind off edge, yes you only make a picot edge for every other stitch (so picot edge bind off, then regular bind off). You could do a picot edge bind off on each stitch, but then it makes the edge look crowded and warped. Hope this helps and you enjoy knitting it. Best wishes for a fabulous 2020!😀

    What about the decrease side of the shawl? I enjoy your presentation very much. I watch them all, and I hit the like button too. 80)

      Thanks, Fred! I really appreciate the support of my channel. Regarding your question, there is no decrease side to the shawl. You just follow the pattern (in video description) until the work measures the desired width (the straight edge of shawl). Then you bind off the stitches (will be quite a few at this time). Do a picot bind off along the bind off edge (see video on that at: ua-cam.com/video/0fHfhb3a9MA/v-deo.html). Hope this helps. Best wishes😀

    Very beautiful pattern! Going to try it! :)
    Approx how many stitches did you have when you started to bind off? I have one skien of caron big cake and want to use just that :)

      Hi Juliet, so glad to hear that you are going to try this one. It was a lot of fun to knit and the 1 skein of the Caron Big Cake was all I used. I could not recall exactly how many stitches I bound off and had to dig up this piece and actually count it. Looks like I had approx 135-140 stitches that I bound off using the picot edge bind off (shown in separate video). Hope this helps. Do let me know if you have other questions and how the project turns out. Best wishes! (:

    Can u please upload a video on knitting socks in a easy method

    • @KnittycatsKnits
      @KnittycatsKnits  4 роки тому

      Hi Samidha, please check out my basic socks video at: ua-cam.com/video/lPcToAtbsCA/v-deo.html (this is part 1 of 3 videos; links to the next parts are in video description). This is the easiest way I know of to knit socks, which is knitting them using double-pointed needles. There may be other easier ways to knitting them, where they are knit in the flat and then seamed/sewn together, but unfortunately I have not knit it in that style (probably because I avoid seaming if I can). If I do in the future though, will definitely share the pattern in a tutorial. Best wishes and Happy New Year!😀
