Believe it or not, the Wolfgang Press actually got back together for the first time in nearly 30 years, and they have a nice new creepy release called A 2nd Shape. Worth checking out.
Pure class: have always thought this song darkly hypnotically, gothily, groovily kick arse - and I absolutely can’t get enough of the Jackie Kennedy dancing for some reason.
I used to record 120 minutes on the VHS. I really wish I had those tapes now! So many songs I just saw once and just have a very vague recollection of now.
Believe it or not, the Wolfgang Press got back together recently, and just put out their first release in nearly three decades---it's called A 2nd Shape, and it's nice, eerie and dark like some of their old music was.
OMG only 65 comments?!?!? I can’t believe I found this!!! Well the world still has some time to appreciate this band! I’ll be listening to it for the rest of the year/rest of my life!!!! ❤ I love this band STILL! Shawn, if you’re out there, this song will forever remind me of you & your more than capable voice! 🎤Thank you UA-cam and the person who was kool enough to upload this, YOU ROCK!!!!❤🎼🎶🎶🎶🎵🎸
I've no idea how many times I've listened to this wonderful song on CD and vinyl, but it's not until today that I see the video for it. Thanks, @4AD!!!
4AD is rolling for uploading a high quality video of this gem. Odd how some of my top bands are all on the 4AD label .. And I didn't know that .. Shoot .. I didn't know TV on the Radio was 4AD until last week ..
Found my dusty 30 year old stash of Wolfgang LP's, cleaned them up nowplaying them and they are SO good. I am wondering if this song is where my love started? I have no idea when or how it did too many good times.
A song and video from my childhood I'll always love. When I was a kid I loved being freaked out when Jackie O. started dancing toward the camera. The cool dancing of the hatted singer and the guy running for no apparent reason also got my attention.
From me me personally this is the best video of that time with the best tune, this song got me into "the Wolfgang press" big time love em love em love em
Bird Wood Cage and this single from that album should have made this band huge. Sadly it didn't. More the pity. But I did see them blow Pixes off the stage in Sheffield back in '89. Great gig.
4AD didn't like the ways these fellows behaved! A bit naughty, it would seem. When I was a lot younger, I loved the early darker albums. The song "Shut That Door" just blew me away. Saw that one live on their Queer tour. I still love the albums Queer & Funky Little Demons. Kansas is probably their most popular track. Makes sense to me. This was a seriously good band! 4AD used to be so cool back in the eighties. I think they just wear suits & ties & disable YT uploads these days (-;
This song is seriously messed up. I love it! There is no song like it on planet Earth. It feels like you're being rapped on the head with a plastic pipe over and over again. About like being in Kansas, come to think of it.
The Wolfgang Press - Kansas 2140pm 13.4.23 now this is ok. i dont mind it but... yerv got early shaman and pop wil eat itself goin on, here... could be worse they could be age of chance... ahahaha
The most overlooked band in history of music

I remember watching this on 120 Minutes way back in the day!
Same here. There was something very disturbing about this video but also incredibly unique.

Was that the MTV indie bit? If so, me too

I agree. One of my favorite albums.
saw these guys supporting pixies on the doolittle (would've been 'bird wood cage era) tour. massively louder than their studio recordings
80's and 90's music videos were so much better then
It's simply amazing how every song, matter the sourcre
Content or anything better than a "D" gets attention.
What is music ?
The few take the sumami
I still have my cd
I still have my album
this is really good , dunt sound like anything else, as all comments say.
Good song.video freaked my out though, especially Jackie Kennedy slowly shuffling towards the camera😨

Still fucking greatness! Only Average White Band sold white funk, but these guys had it too...oops forgot KC.
30 years ago. unbelievable. Pity about the quality. The colours look very washed out. Has the analogue to digital transfer been done properly?
No, it did look this way originally
