I found this CD in a car I bought from a friend 18 years ago. She said the CD was in the car when she bought it from a random woman. Anyway, that's how I know and love this whole album.
I used to have a room-sized cassette collection! I though 8-track was foolishly limiting and barbaric, and I never trusted CDs very much. Now, I don't have the patience to cue up a song unless it's an mp3 on the desktop. Isn't that pathetic?
Does this song have a different intro from the US version? Nevertheless, is a great song (as pretty much of all of WP's output). This song has a stage that reminds me of the stage used by Depeche Mode on their video for Suffer Well.
Loved the heck out of this song when it came out---didn't know they made a video for it. I only heard it a few times on an alternative station. This was their last release before they broke up in '95. Loved the hell out of their 1992 hip-hop influenced release Queer, and played the cassette of it to death, lol.
One of the most underrated songs in music history, IMO.
The most notoriously greatest unknown band in the world.
New album september 2024
this band is so underrated, cool and timeless sound

I remember hearing this in 1995 on WBUS 99.9 in Kankakee, IL, Great Song!
This is sick . So glad I found it !!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥
Time flies.
New album in September
Oh! My crazy 1995!
The vocals is very The The (Matt Johnson) for this song …
I can see that, but I was thinking Shriekback.
I had seen the video on a Friday night (local channel). It had fit perfectly.
I've got the whole album on cassette. It's really great. Especially Chains. BTW.This is different version of the song than the album one.

album version is better. i dunno why they ditched the hats & beat on the video version. the intro is better too. this is also nearly a minute shorter.
Nice recuerdo! 4AD Top quality!
Yeah, baby!

Ко је још чуо ову ствар у епизоди домаће серије "Горе-доле"? :)
Ja. Ali vrtela se i na Studiju B u leto '95. Mislim da je samo kod nas dobro prošla, da nigde drugde nije bila hit.

Is this an Anton Corbijn video? It's full of Depeche Mode references. ^^
Enormous...
J. Kennedy & J.O + L.B.Johnson & L.H.Oswald
This video is a sort of belated sequel to the one they did for Kansas in 1988 with the same masks. Clever!
What album is this mix from?
It's the 7" Mix, found on the Going South EP.
Funky Little Demons

Pretty Dark JFK theme

Uh isn't moving to Vegas moving west?
You are right.
You don't get it mate. Vegas is barely real.
