If you noticed a change in the audio from the last few videos, that's because I've switched back to my older mic. As I couldn't seem to fix some of the popping issues people said they could hear in the last few videos. So, for now at least I'll be using this one again.
After watching your review a couple of times, I have just bought this watch. I’ve been looking for a good looking and well made 39mm WWII styled field watch for a while and thanks to your review I have found the one I want.
I've had one of these for about 6 weeks now. It's flawless; sub-dial seconds hand hits the marks spot on around the dial, zero dust/debris under the crystal, I lucked out with mine being +3 sec/month. It wears very well and looks a lot more expensive than it is.
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR It's the same hands as this 39 version. With that seconds sub dial I think quartz is a good alternative for this kind of watch.
i like this version better, brass finish, better hands and dimensions, the price is a bit high 150 euros but all the decent ali brands raise their prices lately.Nice presentasion man thanks.
I ordered the same quartz. The fact is that I had a rather expensive mechanical Steinhart watch and they fell and began to work badly. The master said that the repair will cost more than half the cost of the watch! Then they need to be maintained every five years. The mechanic is more whimsical. So I decided that the principle I had bought and forgot» is for me. Quartz is not whimsical and more accurate. It does not need to be started every day.
This is a very watch with some attention to detail. It may be luck of the draw but but it's nice to see the small second hand hit most of the markers. The crown may not be signed but it has a cool circular brushing to it. Baltany is a brand deserving credit for doing most things right. Quartz or automatic the both have their merits. As the autos have low end non-hackable Seagull movements I believe I would tend towards the quartz that also allow for thinner cases, they're more reliable and don't look offensive at all with the small second subdials.
Very nice design, well balanced, and we can enjoy the usual built quality. I think however it might be a little expensive for a quartz, but then again Baltany has become the AE reference when it comes to military inspired watches.
It's on the higher end, when it comes to quartz AliExpress watches. But I think given the great lume, sapphire crystal etc it justifies it's price though.
Wonder how many "dirty dozen"/field/military/3hands/wtf Baltany has.... guess many more to come too! Cheers James, thanks for the review, be well mate.
They do have quite a few now mate. I wouldn't be surprised if they end up doing an automatic version of this one soon. Thanks for watching and commenting as always. Take care.
I bought a 36mm based on your review few months ago. Could you do a quick reel showing 36 and 39mm side by side? Seeing color difference would be much appreciated as your 39mm face seems blueish.
Hi, the quality of the watch is really good. As with all Baltanys. The strap I have with mine seems to have been changed. But they are pretty good quality though.
I think given the great lume, sapphire crystal etc I think it justifies it's price. When it comes to AR that's always something AliExpress watches could do with more off. But this one isn't too bad.

Baltany just released a chronograph. Model S205033. Cannot wait to see it being reviewed. Looks stunning on pictures.
Love what Baltany are doing. I have the quartz version which will be reviewed shortly. Nice review.

Do they come with AR coating?
@@PeterM-PeterM Yes, and quite decent AR at that.
I do like a field watch. Their overall simplicity Meeks them elegant, simple, and highly legible. Another great video.
I totally agree. Thanks mate.
Beautiful watch! This is an almost perfect watch for my sensibilities. Baltany are have been delivering some great watches recently
Cheers!
They are on a roll at the moment.
Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the review. I have the 36mm quartz version on the way.
Thanks. Does that have the same hands as this one or the 36mm automatic?
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR It's the same hands as this 39 version. With that seconds sub dial I think quartz is a good alternative for this kind of watch.

I completely agree mate.
Very nice, cool vintage vibe and a decent size.
That's what Baltany does best.
I purchased this watch and very pleased with it as my daily beater
I'm glad to hear it.
Great review, but I want it all, 39mm automatic!!
Perhaps they'll end up releasing that next.

@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR Maybe at this price point you'd rather get a high end quartz than an entry level automatic, why not.
@@durandsimon5221 That is the question isn't it?
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR Pretty much yeah.
I like this 39mm with brushed stainless instead of the bead blasted stainless in the 36mm.
After trying out both, I think I prefer the size and finish of this one too.
You would only buy 36 mm auto because of size....with sub hand on seconds for 39 mm rather have quartz

Did you showcase the black or the dark blue? I can't tell.
Hi,
hits the second hand
exactly the indices?

Yeah I can do that.
Hi,
What is the quality of the watch and the leather strap?
Greetings Mario
Hi, the quality of the watch is really good. As with all Baltanys. The strap I have with mine seems to have been changed. But they are pretty good quality though.
Amazing review.
Thank you very much.
Tanks for yours reviews. Is the blue model, or black ?
This is the black one.
can you do a teardown watch of baltany?
Lovely design except I don't like the glass being domed, in some pics it looks concave but it's actually convex
I prefer the numerals on the 39mm ,they should release a 39mm without the small seconds
I wouldn't be surprised if they do at some point.
36 mm too small for me but this looks great.
Thanks JAMES
Thanks for watching mate.
What battery number does it use?
Good review, another vote for this size with an automatic movement 👍
Thanks I'm glad you liked it.
The specs on Aliexpress says a lug width of 18mm, not 20mm. Can you confirm?
Здравствуйте. Эти часы лучше San Martin 37 Ronda 6004 ? По качеству изготовления ?
is this watch water resistant? if so, how many bars?
Yes, according to the listing it's 200m water resistant.
Simply good
Yep.
So much value in this watch. I'd take it over the 36mm.
It is pretty good value for money.
A bit expensive for a quartz watch without AR coating but looks good

what about water resistant on this one?

I wouldn't as it's not a diver. Plus it's on leather too.

i'm like it,
come on baltany, open counter in Indonesia, at jakarta
I have a larger wrist, so i would take a larger diameter and a quartz vs a smaller watch with an auto
A no nonsense daily beater. The watch looks powerful because of the fat hands
Yeah absolutely.
