    Love this review!
    I’m a 29.5 draw length
    You looked way more comfortable with the 33. I also shoot a Ventum 33 which I really like! Thanks for the review!

    Went into my local bow shop today. Had intentions on buying a different brand. Shot them all. Left the v3x 33 to the side. I didn't want to go with mathews the way everyone has been yapping about it lately. I put my ego aside and shot the 33. Shot them all again. Traded in my carbon Frame and walked out with the v3x 33. I have it already sighted in and grouping like I have before at 65 yards. I am very pleased. And now I have to throw away all my hoyt shirts...

    I have the V3 31 and I have to admit as much as I love it I just ordered the V3X 29. I’ll keep the 31 as my back up for my Midwest trips. I’m a 28 inch draw And the 29 is just better for me for Treestand hunting

    Really glad they came out with another 33" ATA like the Traverse. I love my Traverse and I don't think the technology that the V3X has is enough to prompt an upgrade.

    Great video! My local Fish and Game is in the process of making their archery range better this year, and added a 3D course throughout the trails in their woods. This has brought me to bring my Mathews Z7 back out and get back into archery, which I will be joining a 3D tournament league at the end of June. I am hoping to replace the Z7 with either the new phase 4 29 or V3X 29 this year, as I look to get more into 3D leagues and other shooting events. I also would be up to hunting with it, if I am able tk find properties that will give me permission.
    What are your long term thoughts on the V3X?

  • @ross7684
    @ross7684 2 роки тому +1

    Take the bow stand off if you want the real feel of the bow. If the limb bolts are fully seated to max the bow, it may be 73 lbs instead of 70 lbs that you are shooting. There really is no string stretch with the new string materials. My 2 year old Traverse is still 2 lbs above spec DW two years after I started shooting it.

    I had to buy the v3x 29 in granite wt red and black custom strings. Hamskea epsilon rest made for mathews. Spot Hogg fast Eddie xl double pin sight in the bridge lock. Mathews low pro 1pc quiver. Conquest control freak pro stabilizers wt the smacwrap tech a 12 inch up front and a lower back bar wt a 9 inch. And Mathews Engage limb legs. The bow is fast. Quite and dead in the hand. And steady at full draw.

    Help me get this right…..the harshness is because of the echo in the building? Secondly, because it was the first time the bow was drawn…the second draw of the day should be better because of a break in period? Wow…I’d be afraid of shooting 100 times and it losing lots of power or feet per second.

      This is why you shoot everything, I went there for the rx5.

      Mathews has spacers available to give the quiver stand-off for those sight mounts. What it gives you is the arrow capture out by the fletching to eliminate the noise you get from the old arrow web quiver.

      Yeah that's been my experience with the SW cams as well. Stiff draw cycle and very noticeable dump at the end. I also run a Ventum 33 with a VXR 31.5 as a backup and its extremely noticeable after shooting the Hoyt. In my opinion and experience the Hoyt draws smoother and lighter.

    3:08 It was false information you will always have to adjust your 1st axis .. because axis is being level with your string . For example when you switch top hats on the mathews your changing string angle then you need to adjust you 1st axis because when you shoot shoot out further your sight won't be level which will cause you to hit further left or right the further you go.
    YOU WILL ALWAYS NEED TO ADJUST YOUR 1ST AXIS NO MATTER HOW YOU MOUNT YOUR SIGHT..
    Once again people beware of what information you use or listen to

    • @JeffReigns
      @JeffReigns 2 роки тому +3

      I thought this line was funny as well. Im not accusing RX of doing this, but its funny how people will defend whatever their brand of choice happens to be. Its especially bad with trucks and bows. No doubt Mathews makes some good stuff, but I've heard people describe the SW cams as smooth and nice... I get that a lot of feel is subjective, but there's no way I'd describe it as such. Its not the worst thing I've ever pulled back, but the draw is stiff and the dump is harsh compared to some other cam systems.
