Really enjoying these Emma! Looks like Roly is too! Have fun, be safe x Nell.
Thank you Nell!
Oh, no. Rain has struck again! Only too relatable to us , it's a rare thing when the phenomenon called " the sunshine" happens here 😅.
You are one brave soul to venture out in the winds like that! But the castle was beautiful ! And a little bit sad. Probably it's still living with the memories of people who used to be there.. houses ( and castles) seem very like people to me - they get born, have a life and then crumble into the landscape from where they came. I only wish builder's standards had not deteriorated this shockingly much, hard to imagine a new build, that would withstand wind and rain for the hundreds of years 😂
Beautiful boats, the thing you predicted in the last video definitely happened, the boats look more and more "boaty" !
I don't know,if it is the same for you, but for me, I have favourite things to sketch - like trees, landscapes, animals and not so much people and urban stuff, I am sure, everything could be made beautiful, I once saw a study of how the light hits the lid of a wheelie bin and it was gorgeous; it's just that I don't feel any wish to draw it, I can try doing it once, just to see , if I can, but that's it. (Wow, sorry that was a lengthy one. 😅)
So, I was wondering, if that is something that happens in your drawing practice?
Also, I don't know, what is with that indigo pencil, but sketches made with it look so much better than with a graphite! And don't smudge! Probably my most favourite colour out of the set.
Happy sketching and hope the rain was just a hiccup in the smooth sailing of your holiday!
Thank you! Yes I for sure have things I prefer to draw and things I don’t - although I am trying to push myself out of my comfort zone as much as possible to build my muscle memory. And I’m pleased you like the dark indigo too! It’s my absolute favourite 🤩

Yep, the indigo pencil is the only one that I have double of.🤔 Not sure if that sentence even makes sense, but you surely know what I mean 😉
I know what you mean 😅
