Glorious sun is back and, oh, what a beautiful place! Thank you so much for sharing it, I would have never known it existed otherwise. Absolutely amazing - castle AND especially, gardens. Wow 😮.
And I can't get over the fact that Rory is so civilised, not an attempt to clibm all those trees! Or was it carefully edited? 😂
Romantic castle, garden, arboretum, streams of sunshine, kitty having explore around ( mean of them not to let him inside though, he is such a well behaved kitty!), in short, my morning is complete, after seeing your sketches I feel an urge to sketch too, but , as life would have it, I have to do something else. Well, maybe later.

Thank you! He’s not too bothered about trees really. As long as there’s a path to follow he’s pretty well self-directed on the path. Sometimes he wants to explore under the trees and bushes but that’s about it!

I am just curious, what would you do if he wants to go somewhere and you don't. My cat pulls on the leash like crazy, he is very strong and it's difficult to stop him going where he shouldn't.
All I do is: I lock his lead and say ‘A, a, a, no thank you’ and when he moves to the place we are going I say ‘good boy’ release the lead (it’s an extendable one). And if he is not moving, I say ‘come on then’ and juggle the lead, or sometimes pick his front paws up and redirect them and when he moves I say ‘good boy, come on then, good boy’ to reinforce the words. I’ve seen a lot of videos of people with the talk buttons for their cats and dogs and got a bit obsessed with repeating simple exact words and phrases. And honestly, without sounding like an obsessive cat mum, at the very least he usually responds to them - if not understands them! (Which I personally think he does 😅) But we’ve been doing that since he was 10 months old and it took a while. And it doesn’t always work. You know cats - they do have their own mind. And if he doesn’t want to go he is an immovable block 😅 I those cases I pick him up. Usually saying ‘this way please’ or ‘come on then’ with lots of praise. Praise and treats usually work to reinforce most things. Hope this helps

That's good advice, thank you for sharing! I know everything about the unmovable block cat - when he doesn't want to move, I swear he weighs a tonne! Literally.
And have you noticed something - usually I try to catch him while he's asleep to sketch him, he might be in a deepest sleep till the moment when I pick up a pencil. Then it's fidgeting and moving about, as if he's not sure if I will get his " better side" . Also mine likes to sit on my drawings. I take it as a sort of critique.
