Porto Sketchbook Flip Through by Lis Watkins

In this video I look through a sketchbook I made at the Urban Sketchers Symposium in Porto, Portugal in the summer of 2018. I used a Stillman and Birn Beta sketchbook, watercolours and fine liners to make the drawings. I always enjoy travel drawing and I tried to use this book as more of a journal to record the trip.

So good and beautiful painting !! I like your style, nice window painting on 1:10, two men and drink sketching on 1:31, church, boats, empty Sardine can on 1:48, and traditional boats drawing on 1:59 !!! I like your people drawing around 2:41, free style, loose sketching !!! Loose drawing again around 3:04, 3:53, interesting lines !!! The last one, plane home is also so good !!! Thank you! I think that when you spend time drawing a place it sort of becomes imbedded in your memory more. That’s one of the great things about taking a sketchbook with you when you travel 🙂
