Love your elegant bottles. The napkins are gorgeous. Less is more in my book, no unnecessary bits and pieces added, great tutorial.
Thank you very much! Xx
I made these after seeing this video!
Actually I went a little crazy buying the different designs I loved them do much!
Wish I could post a pic, but, cannot.
Great video!

Thank you! Beautiful work!! I have a grand son who's the same age its good to have them get the experience! Soon he will be a master!! I think most all get that!!!
To get the glue off glass without chemicals mix enough vegetable oil to baking soda to make a paste and rub into the bottle with a plastic scrubbie. Works like a charm!
Nancy Baker thank you xxx
FairyChic Emporium No problem! Love your videos!
Lovely bottles....but Oh dear...the camera movement made me giddy .
So nice, I already have used all of my bottles doing this and it does work like a charm. Lovely little shop you have there. Wish I could visit it. Keep up the good work!
Aidan Atreides thank you! ❤️❤️
Great idea, these came out beautiful 😊
Annete Thrall thank you 😊
Love!
Thank you xx
light amount on a cloth of mineral spirits will remove your labels and all the sticky left on the bottles. I have been through the "grrrrr" getting labels off, so being an Artist....I one day went out and grabbed my Mineral Spirits gave it a try and wha La!! labels off in no time. That's all I use now. You do lovely work, thank you for sharing.....
im getting motion sickness .......lol.........love what you have done
HI IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL BRAVO
ZEGHDOUD Soraya kami thank you xx
Beautiful!
Lovely ❤🤗
Awesome tutorial, shame about the camera work but this is still by far the best tutorial on this that I have found
A great video but it would have been lovely to have included what paint was used, what glue, what finish was used. Also how to cut out the napkin to get the rageed edge. As a beginner I have no idea how to do any of it. The bottles look lovely though.
super!!!
jowita kempa thank you!
Love,Love,Love.Very Very Nice.I´m from Brasil ,Sao Paulo.Kisses...
Yasmin Mattar thank you!! X
if you paint them with mayonnaise the sticky glue will come off easier leave on for couple of hors .nice video lovely thank you so much for sharing
I love that your idea carried through on a theme. Who doesn't love animals ? ? ? And your idea of collecting empty bottles fro the pub is brilliant. I know I could never drink all that alcohol, or I'd be Decopaughing some funny looking images! lol Thank you for this super video. (Bad spelling today) ;-)
CherryvaleLeatherock thank you! Glad you enjoyed it x
These are so cute. I’m a new subscriber...I also have a UA-cam channel. I love playing with different mediums.
Where do you get those napkins, I've seen those, where could I purchase them? All your bottles are so cute.
Where did you get that cool T shirt from? Absolutely love this video, Im going to try to make some myself
How does your paint come out so smooth?? Mine has all kinds of streaks, any suggestions you could recommend??? Thanks
Dont forget to like and subscribe to my Channel xx
Wonderful dear
Hello, thank you for your video. Do you use Matte or Gloss modpodge please? From a newbie learner before I buy the wrong one 😂 and what is the finshing coat bottle called and where from please? Thank you
Do you ever put lights in your bottles? String lights are quite popular.
I love everything I've seen you do! You are so talented...I've binge-watched everything I can find of yours :) I couldn't see the manufacturer's name on the napkins? I hope you don't mind if I ask what brand is the shirts you wear that have all the lovely embroidery and torn fabrics. I would buy them in a second! Thank you for all the sharing you do...I'm a follower for sure...
Midnighthazel hiya.... I think I just put patchwork hippy clothes into eBay ... that’s where I get most of my clothes xx I’m glad you like my work.. thank you very much 😊
In LOVE with the napkins!!! Where did you purchase them??♥️♥️♥️
Tracy Mc they are wrendale napkins... they have their own website or eBay xx
I love your shirt let me know how you did it, or where I can find the video
Kathryn Greer I love it too.. eBay!
What is the finishing coat used to stick the napkin on to the bottle?
Very beautiful!! I would LOVE to have all of these napkins too, they are beautiful. Do you know where I could buy them?
They are wrendale napkins. You can buy them directly from wrendale or eBay xx
Thanks FairyChick Emporium! ♥
most garden centres sell them as well, Haskins
Can you give me tips or ways in which how I can avoid air bubble when doing decoupage and also avoid wrinkles on the bottle..
Beena Thomas one way to get less wrinkles is to apply cling film over the napkin and then smooth it out with a larger art soft brush. The cling film stops it from tearing x
These are lovely. Can I ask how many coats you use and what type of brush. I have tried a few but just don’t think they turn out right.
How much do you sell these bottles for? Thanks
Love this! My only question would be, since I am in the US what comparable products would I use . Nothing you had there looked at all familiar to me. Is the finishing coat what I have that is by Americana called "Decoupage" Matte? What brand of paint did you use? Was it water based or acrylic. I know, I ask too many questions. Lol!!
Nancy Baker yes your matte product will be fine and I used a chalk based paint that will stick to anything! So any chalk paint! The napkins are wrendale you can buy on line direct from their site or eBay x
You can get some pretty napkins from anywhere on Etsy.
There's an American lady somewhere on UA-cam doing these. She gets most of her stuff from the Dollar Tree 🌳
Mindless Crafting on UA-cam. An American lady called Tracey. Good luck 🎨
Lovely bottles. Would of like to have seen the FC go on. The shaky camera was awful.
What paint and glue do you use and do you put a primer on the bottle? I just love the look of these. I have a large family and would love to make them. I haven't been very successful. Let me know. I love your channel!
Brenda Timmerman hiya... thank you very much. I used a chalk paint on the bottle... chalk paint sticks to anything without the need for priming generally. Any brand will do but do match the colour to the background of your napkin... I used Matt finish to decoupage with and to seal over the top.. I sell both products on my website, but you could use modge podge too.. that works just as well. Happy playing 😊
How do you do crackle effect bottles please
Very nice. May I ask what kind of paint? Thank you. Greetings from Greece
τίποτα it is called Frenchic paint, which is a chalk paint that sticks to pretty much anything!! X
Beautiful work. Need to steady the camera. Moves around too much and is distracting.
I know... my lovely 11yr old filmed this one bless her!! Xxx
I agree. It made me quite nauseous. Great video though. I learnt a lot 👍🏼
Love this , can I use varnish as a finish?
Hey fyi hold camera still wow. And if u put bottles in sink of hor water and oxiclean the labels wipe right off in 5 minutes
Do you ever add lights to your bottles?
I used the same paint - my bottles really showed the brush strokes. How do I prevent them. I want mine to look as beautiful as yours.
You can either sand very lightly with a high grit sandpaper, or apply paint with a sponge... dabbing it on, or once dry use a damp cloth/ wet wipe to smooth it out 😘
FairyChic Emporium Thank you so much. You’ve really inspired me. I’m so pleased I watched your tutorial. I’ll try your tips.
Were did you get your animal napkins from, would love to find them.
Debbie Kelly search wrendale napkins on eBay xx
I was just wondering what kind of paint you used in the bottles. Also what kind of top coat you used.
Thank you
It’s a chalk paint .. sticks to anything and a Matt finish ( water based ) to seal . You could use modge podge x
@@FairyChicPaintCo thank you!
Do you know where these napkins came from? Brand name? They are soo cute!
Nancy Baker they are wrendale napkin s they have their own website or you can buy on eBay etc xx
Yeah, I thought that was what I found late last night! (I am like a dog with a bone, ha ha.) Thank you for responding I was going to send a reply today asking if it were that maker. Thanks again for your timely response!! Look forward to new videos! Looking for a small suite case now, lol!
Hi love your bottles! I've painted a bottle with frenchic paint using 2 coverings. I then decoupaged a small robin using frenchic fc. I put a bottle light in and it shows up the brush Mark's and makes it look not as good. Help🙈 and do you put anything else over your bottles to protect them once you've finished?😊
Hiya.... yes it’s no good putting a light in it if you have made solid colour bottle... the only way the light looks good if you put a layer of crackle on bottle first... pm my fb page and I will send you the link of my secret (lol) crackle bottle tutorial xx facebook.com/fairychicemporium
Hi thanks for replying I have liked your pg😊
@@FairyChicPaintCo thank you. I've liked your page.x
@@carolberriman7270 thanks 😊 check your messages.. link sent x
You don't sandpaper then?
Fiona Johnson no, no need at all x
Hi! What kind of paint you use for the bottles? Thank u and sooo beautifull work!!
Hello, great video. I have been trying unsuccessfully to paint glass bottles. I have used Zinsser as a base (recommended on youtube) and annie sloan chalk paint. However, when i start to paint the primer and paint slide off and crack showing the bottle underneath. Can you please give me advice i'm going to give up at this rate haha? I have also tried with a bristle brush and just a roller but the same thing occurs. pease help :)
debbie weir hiya... the chalk paint should go straight on ( no need for primer) as you say the glass is slippery.. I use a small sponge to “dab” it on ( like a makeup sponge) it seems to make the coming off less! Dry thoroughly in between coats xx
Thanks you, I'll give that a go instead and let you know the outcome 😃
hi can you use emulsion paint plz
donna wells only if you add some plaster of Paris to it. It won’t stick to glass otherwise x
Can you put cork lights into these bottles once they are finished ?
Nichola Brooks you can but much more effective in bottles you have used crackle glaze on before the paint... creating cracks for the light to shine through xx
FairyChic Emporium this is my first time doing this, is there any chance you could give me a step by step on how to do this using crackle glaze x
Nichola Brooks if you pm me via fb I’ll give you a link to a private tutorial I have done on a crackle bottle x
do you use emulsion paint please Love the craft Thank you
No I use chalk paint... there are lots of brands but I currently use vintage rocks www.vintagerocksinteriors.com
Hi there. Beautiful bottles and I want to try this. Where can I buy 'finishing coat' please? Is it the same as Mod Podge?
yes modge podge will be fine xxx
I dont think you can resell those napkins on crafts ,they are only for private use.
You are absolutely write - Wrendale have now taken out a copyright on their napkins. I dont sell them x
what is finishing paint please?
Hi do you put napkins on the back .?
Shirley Sayer I didn’t no but you could if you wanted too 😊
you can taket some babyoil and take The glue off The bottle.. sorry If my english is bad
Thank you for that! Will try x
Can you tell me if you varnish your bottles after applying the finishing coat please?
there is a top coat of the finishing coat - it acts as varnish and "glue" xx
Would lights show through the chalk paint if I wanted to use them as light bottles please?
Julie Sherwood you would have to use crackle glaze to make cracks in the paint for the light to shine through x
I put lights in mine! I make a lot of these and the lights do shine through.
What paint you have used to get that glossy white look.because i find different different white colours. or any colour to say.but to have this particular look what i should use....pls guide.lastly ,its wonderful work.keep it up.
i use chalk paint with a finishing cream on top www.vintagerocksinteriors.com/shop
Thank you so much......
FairyChic Emporium hi, do you use finishing cream Matt or gloss? Thanks
Michelle McAleenan hiya.. Matt finishing cream xx
Normal air to blow or hot air?
Dr Sowmya Suryanarayana it’s quicker with hot! X
Oh Thank you so much. I was wondering if the glue would melt ;) :)
Dr Sowmya Suryanarayana I think a hot gun/ craft heater would be too hot but a hairdryer is fine.. I have it on max!
Yeah, thank you :)
What saw the finishing paint you used please.
Kriss Kernot I sell my own brand now which you can find on my website if you are in the uk, if not any water based Matt varnish ... modge podge for example is fine x
Is it ok to use mod podge as a finishing coat?
patricia c yes that will be fine xx
Loved the concept & the finished items but found the videoing very hard to watch. Too much moving around made it blurred.
My tissue paper ALWAYS goes wrinkly. What am I doing wrong?
Joanna Thain you can either use a very soft art brush to gently smooth it out, or you can place cling film over it and then smooth it out xx 😘
@@FairyChicPaintCo thank you. I'll give the cling film a go. How would you recommend I blend me edges in too? I'm very new to this and am having teething problems xx
Joanna Thain always tear the napkin around edges.. they dont show as much as cut edges and then use a stencil brush or make up sponge to blot paint over join and blend x
Nice work but camera too blurred & distracting.
Great thanks....but the camera work is Very very poor.....
Was her 11yr old daughter. It's a free video you get the idea 🙄
Love it. But really-camera focus needs some help!
It was practically the first video I ever did and my then very young daughter recorded... things have improved since then lol 😂
do like your bottles. how is it that my paint has come out streaky? i have used white chalk paint and sponge brush. do yours have a smooth nice finish?
I dont know which chalk paint you used....they did take a few layers...and the I usually use a light sand paper to smooth it all out xx
goodness thank you for your quick response. ok i will use a light sandpaper and see how it goes. i will need a few more coats then. the paint i used is Vintage chic , chalk finish paint. xx
I havent used that...I currently paint with Vintage Rocks and London Vintage..both are fab x
thank you.x
What paint is it called please?
it is just chalk paint - there are lots of brands - i have my own brand - its the chalk that helps it stick to the glass - check my website if you are in the uk...www.fairychicpaintco.com
I like the idea. I have made some for my friend. You could turn music down a bit or change it. And camera person gave me headache from all the moving.
Thank you. God bless.
Norma Jean it was my 11 yr old daughter filming... apologies for headache! It was one of our earlier videos x
how much sales bottles
Mary Crochet I sell lots of bottles with lots of different napkins on x
No comment on ur video dear ...
Just learnt from u
mayonnaise takes off sticky glue your just leave on for couple hours and comes off really easily
Dodie Angeltarot well I didn’t know that!!!
Need to hold camera so we can see , moving way too fast !
Jill Kaiser please read comments for the explanation x
i painting bottles i like decoupage bottles
Love your work but please deal with the camera action, I felt sea sick!
Very nice project, but please, change the camera man.
When taking video let the subject move around. Zoom in if necessary otherwise just keep track of the lady and her work. Can't watch this I was getting dizzy and the sped up portion along with the moving camera made it impossible to use this video.
Love result but couldn't watch for the terrible camera work gave me motion sickness!
my daughter who was about 10 at the time recorded it and it was one of our first - later ones have much improved x
Didn’t say really what finish you used very poor explanation on here
leah davies this was s very early days video... it was just a Matt finish.. lots of them on the market.. hopefully you’ll find newer videos more helpful x
Tried to watch but the camera movement got me dizzy. The tumble nail showed some great bottles too bad did not get to watch the video.
Monica Pineda I am very sorry... I have explained so many times in the comments below... this is one of my very first videos recorded by at the time very young daughter... if you delve into my later videos they are much improved.. we all have to start somewhere xxx
Poor videoing. It's not focussed n too much movement. Not clear. I could go on and on. Lost interest.
Gee, guide that camera more slowly and make it focus on the crafts. It's a shame how we can hardly see the patterns when you show all th bottles!!
Too much camera movement and couldn’t finish watching as it made me dizzy.
I had to stop watching cause they guy on the camera was jumping around. Wish they would get a tripod.. its awful :-(
Felt dizzy watching this..... camera work not good
Please change your camera person
no amiga no se le entender ni papa habla mucho y enseña poco
Terrible filming.....shame 😕
They're bottles not bottuls. Speak properly please!!
Hi, can I ask what brush you use please? Iv tried various including sponge but always end up with brush marks. So frustrating. Great work!!!
Lynn J I don’t use any fancy brush, but you can just wipe gently with a damp cloth to smith out or very lightly sand when dry xx
You can use a stencil brush and kind of give it a stippling effect and then the napkin sides will also blend in much better! :)
