What a privilege to hear this stuff now live. Listeners know how very lucky we were on the West Coast to have the Clubs Studios and Scene out here. Thank You Larry and Co for your service.
How wonderful to hear such music , no backing tracks , sound coming from the stage , vintage keys and vintage guy's playing great . Thanks for posting .
I had the pleasure of seeing Larry live in Huntington, NY sometime after "Sapphire Blue" came out. Had the CD signed after the show and Larry was super nice. My son was with me and it was a great show. Been a fan since since the late 70's when Larry did a simulcast from "My Father's Place" in Roslyn via WLIR-FM, now defunct radio station I believe.
Wore out thousands of Carlton 8 track tape footage on road trips... Right from the git go his bands are always tight! It's been a pleasure and a blast following Larry's long career! The internet and Larry Carlton are God's gift to being old! Thnx UA-cam! And to the site, thnx4 sharing this upload. Larry Carlton live concert in November 2024 in my left coast man cave? Priceless 👍 👍
Great to see Larry out there performing. Good sounding group. Big sound. I was pleasantly surprised to see a trombone in the mix and that he got so much playing time.
Wonderful groove in these guys , btw I have exactly that nice looking Sire Larry C signature. Its a great guitar, love that neck..Its exact replica of Larrys 69 Gibson 335 🎸🍻 Thank you Larry and co 🤩
Travis is a great bassist, but the recording doesn't help that story. The bass drum is a monotone that kinda irritates. Keith deserves a better sound for it. Those guys are absolutely the best of the best.
sorry@@datflys this is no direct feed from the camera mic as you mentioned. You don't get that kind of stereo from keyboards unless it's taken from some mixer (PA or monitors) . So someone forgot to route the bass (and bass drum as well) to the final mix. A shame.
Yes shame there's virtually no bass in the mix such a great gig Larry plays different these days, I think he suffers a little with some kind of problem with his hands but I love him so much he really a very special guitar player legend ❤️
I have the greatest respect for these gentlemen. We know they can deliver when needed - here they obviously don't think it needs to be delivered. Here I am speechless with boredom. My personal favorite, Carlock, watch and listen as he takes the audience on a brutal express train with Will Lee, Bill Evans, Steve Lukather, and Steve Weingart - Live at the Iridium
In Australia we call you mob a pack of whingers - FFS it’s Larry. Ooo no bass, mix is not perfect, his hairs not right - it’s Larry entertaining you for free.
@@ThomasGilmore-fi6gbwell, his little 1x12 is mic’ed with a Sennheiser “e” series mic. You can see it hanging there. He may be going direct also and perhaps they aren’t mixing that mic to the fronts or maybe they are mixing a direct and mic’ed sound. Just pointing it out.
The first thing I noticed was the difference in tone. Although 90% of your tone is in your fingers, this just goes to show that even in the most gifted (and I have been a LC fan since the 70's) - a guitar does make a difference. The Sire cannot sound like the 335.
Just love Larry's stuff, session and otherwise. The Kid C solo.....eh. Frankly I'm not at all a fan of hearing famous solos note for note live...boring...if I want to hear that, I'll play the album. Mix it up! It's a live show for crying out loud....oh well, I guess I'm in the minority there
Not bad! But some material of his very best album "Strikes twice"(1980) would have been great! ua-cam.com/video/H6fOTLl4BxI/v-deo.html For me his best concert-footage ever
@Blues.Fusion I was going to say, your hearing is better than mine hahaha but yeah NO bass - i think what you're hearing is a "boom" from the kick drum
@@craighamilton3024 you’re absolutely right about Keith’s bass drum, he always has it open tuned with no damping , as with the whole kit also. It’s such a shame we can’t hear what Travis is playing, he’s one of the best bass players around IMHO 😊😎👍
All I have to say is Larry looks like a million bucks. Sounds great too.😎 Still my hero.
Larry is my favorite guitarist.
❤🎉Larry could sound better with a bass guitar 🎸 player
@@howardbrown6173 smiles and smiles to go was the best number. Larry is always great. I like the Lugano show the best.
High quality choice
lovin' that bone/tenor/Crusaders/Carlton vibe!
Living guitar legend right here.
Love Larry!!!! He still sounds great!!

Wow. Great to see Larry in such great shape.
Im so gloud I discovered this. I love Larry. This band is just awesome. Such talented musicians. Larry's material has truly stood the test of time.
what fantastic show and retrospective of a lot of Larry's well known classics! a little of everything

I’m grateful to still be doing this with Larry. Been over 20 years playing with him. What a great way to finish my career.

‘Taste’ lives here. Thank you for sharing this.
Never get's old, thanks Larry.
Brings back nostalgic 70’s & 80’s my high school days.you still sound incredible Larry C. 🙏
Wait, Keith Carlock is on the drums! What a great group to accompany Larry. That sax player M Douthet is incredible.
One of my Favorites since his days with Crusaders. Seen him several times since then and had the pleasure to meet him.
Super session! Thanks for share.
Very cosy performance. Thank you.
The song at 00:48:13 is "10-00 P.M." and the one at 01:12:08 is "Sleepwalk".
Larry continua tocando divinamente. Bom comtinuar ouvindo o
One off the Best I saw him twice in the Nertherlands, spoke with him, and his wife , a very simpety Man and he gave me his plectrum

Legend is an understatement 🔥
How sweet and smooth it is!
It’s a bummer that there’s no bass in the mix.
Isn't that Larry's son playing the bass behind the sax guy?
@@w4grw He means audio level. It's hard to get your ears on it.
Exactly
Travis is a great bassist, but the recording doesn't help that story. The bass drum is a monotone that kinda irritates. Keith deserves a better sound for it. Those guys are absolutely the best of the best.
I can use it as a backing track without going through Moises. Dream gig, playing bass behind Larry Carlton! 😉
We saw the previous evenings show and loved hearing Larry, the band and in this hip venue. Tip of the hat to @datflys for recording this just for me!
That will be coming soon!
My first Larry Carlton album was “On Solid Ground “ I had the cassette and loved it so much 😢
Cool😎✌️
Go!!! Larry Eugene😎
Wow, beyond smooth , also digging the horns !

Thank you so much for the high quality video. Please also correct the name of the saxophonist, the great Mark Douthit
"Trouble Child"!
Hi production crew, is it possible to remix with the bass guitar up in the mix? Thanks so much.
This was the direct camera feed. No multitrack or alternate house mix is available. This is what we have. It's still fantastic though!

His fingers may not be as quick as they once were, but he can still draw a crowd. I liked the repertoire mix.
He doesn't shred like he once did but one can chalk that up to osteo arthritis in his fingers that limit his digital flexibility
Oh that LC tone....
So glad LC still has a voice to speak. Not evryone knows he was shot in the throat during a home invasion. In his own driveway.
That Sire sounds different than the Gibson tbh.
It's a new guitar.
But the sound is like a vintage guitar.

Great show!....but the bass is WAY too low in the mix. Travis is a beast of a player too, he should be heard!
Trombone and sax players are twin bros?
We’re great friends who’ve been playing together over 40 years in nashville
Sweet something today’s top hits are not like blow me like a horn arrangement
Úplně bez spodků - škoda !
A shame about the low level of the bass. Can normally hear Travis clearly. The bass drum is clear but no bass guitar.
Drummer ain't no Steve Gadd
Something must be wrong with the microphone. His guitar doesn't usually sound like that.
His guitar never goes through a mic.

No bass!!!!
And no one seems to notice!
What's up with the bass? Carlton son? He's playing like 2 notes over and over. And not the right ones.
It's strange but there is simply no bass at all. It's a shame, but it makes for great practice tracks for bass players!
