I first came across Matt playing in a little venue in Leicestershire, England about 15 years ago. A place called the Pokey Hole. He was probably one of the finest guitar players I have heard (and I have heard most of them over the past 50+ years). He is a remarkable player supported by amazing musicians - always. Since that first hearing I have been fortunate enough to see him several times and he always makes that Strat sing like an angel. Seek him out. Enjoy. He is very special indeed.

Seen Matt bout 12 times up till lockdown bullshit -, prob once a year. Have always bought his music on the night from the merch stand. This always used to be the only way to ensure artists actually received the lion's share as they should. Now with big labels taking a cut of EVERYTHING not even that is guaranteed. It's testament to Matt's dedication that he still does it for us. Anyway, serious bit over I have NEVER, EVER seen him do a whammy bar DIVE BOMB. Respect

Yeah totally! He's really running with the bass! Most time it's like with "typical" bass yur just holding the beat and nothing flashy. But this bassist is really getting in the licks every chance he gets! :)

This is the first time i came across this amazing guitar player. Reminds me of the time i walked into a club in Amsterdam and this amazing guitar player was on a huge screen.. his name was Stevie Ray Vaughan. Both moments blew my mind in a positive way.

It's great seeing you there. What a show, talent overflowing & yet just simple & straight forward . It still is both raw & tender & keeps you rockin'. long way back I'd listen to you on radio, breaking down how the old blues guitarist would produce those intricate sounds by pulling ,slapping & bending strings & so on. You'd also demonstrate with examples.
So thank you M.S. for those lessons for us getting into Blues. All the best to you for your current band in future.

Matt is right that it isn't right that I (we) get to watch this for free. Musicians need to make a living. They provide us with such joy, we need to support them. Go to their websites and purchase something directly from them. Apple doesn't pay them crap so give them $20 for a CD. I've bought all of Matt's Truefire courses and all of his CD's. Still wish Matt would put up a GoFundMe site for the release of his new CD. Really looking forward to new music from Matt. But it now costs an artist to put out a CD. Give up a night of eating out to support your favorite artists once in a while.
So true. I always support the artist. I have all the CD's and Albums when they have them! Shirts too and I always pay for my ticket at the venue. I get nothing free
and I support all areas of live music.
I have talked to Matt about filming and I am lucky he tolerates me. It's a fine line. On some shows I don't film as he likes it to be a you had to be there type thing.
