I went to the range today and struggled the first large bucket with inconsistant shots. So I can't leave feeling like that so I get another small bucket. My swing thought was upper body muscle activation. Every muscle in the upper body and core activated prior to the swing. It fixed my miss hits and added 15% distance. I was always thinking before of feeling lose and not activating anything for a feeling of tension free loosy swing. I got home and looked to see if feeling pre activation of muscle groups is and thing and I found your video. You look like an athlete playing the game not a dart player. I think this is real and I can't wait to try the glute activation!
Can you explain the timing - the load/unload & glute firing happen in a split second. No pause at the top right?. Do the glutes tuck the pelvis at impact? Are you standing up & tiling?
How can you say, "don't really care about the left glute for power, consistency"??? How do you think the lead hip clears up/back and the lead shoulder moves up and back? The lead leg (left leg for righties) drives into the ground causing those motions. In order to drive into the ground for speed and more importantly to slow the pelvic movement and provide stability for the finish you need the lead side glute to engage and to engage well. If there's no lead side glute engagement trying control let alone stop in balance a full speed golf swing becomes a challenge.
It sounds like you’re a great golfer and have no issues with distance! Right on! However majority of the golfers we work with are really struggling with distance and need to focus on right leg vs left leg for now (depending on your dominant side). Thank you for your comment, we really appreciate them!
@@BermanGolf hi Doc Jake is right. At age 75 dismissing my pushing my left lead buttock back to start my downswing would result in miserable failure for me. I do not push with of my trail foot to start my backswing. Did that; done that; and never again. Hope you listen to us both.
So when exactly in your swing are you activating your lead glute? In my mind I'm thinking almost right at impact or as late as humanly possible? The reason I think that is because your thighs are pushing your hips back which helps your pelvis and your hip stay deep so if you started to fire the glute too early you could have some real problems with the pulls I would assume?

thank you sir!
I have been working on my pelvic tilt and found that the bellybutton in very helpful. Thanks for adding this little tweak it makes a big difference 👍
