This has been the best tip to gain distance. I've been playing for over 25 years and I'm hitting it farther than ever before... making GIR now and More pars!!! BTW.. I'm a 130 lb female turning 72 in Oct. You are the best! PS.. love your chipping tips, too!
OMG this is the tip that has changed my whole relationship to golf. I watched your prior video on keeping the butt back. I understood the importance of preventing early extension or avoiding an arm dominant swing but in the 40 something years of playing the game I could never consistently do it. I have watched countless UA-cam & IG videos but for some reason the way you explained it something clicked. The first time I played after watching your video and doing the things you said it was almost natural that the low point of my swing moved to after I struck the ball and that immediately translated to more distance and accuracy and a lower score. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I am a bball shooting coach...am 75 and earlier this year made 514 of 522 free throws...you are a really good teacher...love your enthusiam...first time I know of you. Thank you
You probably don't even read these anymore but, this lesson put it all together for me. Sounds trite but, it's not. Too often, it has been a translating move from one hip to another which, when your timing is good, you score well. But, the next day, if you're too quick or, not quick enough, balls are flying left and right. So, the 'rotating the hips on the wall' whilst firing the left cheek back, really helped out and took the timing guesswork out of the equation. Distance has never been a problem for me. It's getting the ball to go exactly where you want it to. Mission accomplished! Thx Christina
winter starting here so golf is done (canada) but am saving all your videos to review in the spring. This one makes me excited to get out to try it. Have to find an indoor place soon. thanks so much.
Of course it all makes sense, what never made sense was 20 years ago when some experts said turn the shoulders maximum against a stable lower body. It ruined swings and made the best spine surgeons in the country very wealthy. Another smart post 😀⛳. Thank you.
So true. I'm raising my hand as one of the victims of the "x-factor" swing you speak of. Years of physical therapy, various meds, putting the clubs downs for months at a time, and completely revamping my swing in hopes I can prolong my ability to play. I've learned one thing I wish I would have known years ago: build a strong core to stabilize the spine. Stomach, back, sides and glutes. Build the legs too. Oh, and put aside the ego and buy a push cart.
I get out of sequence in my swing doing this helps me to bring it together . You explain much better than any Others . I keep your videos in file on my phone i go through them to keep all in my head . Thank you Christina 😊
Tried this yesterday and I have to say it way fantastic. Was smashing drives, sequencing right and the irons going farther than they ever have, Thank you
This move is crazy good.Brings the power if you practice and get it right! Just got back from More Pars Golf Camp on fricken Fripp Island SC. We learned and practiced this move and got it right! Camp was game changing. Thank you Christina.
Bingo! I just started working in this today and then saw this video it really improved my swing and bombing the driver thank you for doing g this video cheers
Thanks Christina! I have been trying to increase my distance for some time and your video with using the hips more, keeping low longer has helped me a lot. I find the follow through is the hardest I hope by continuing this hip turn it will come more natural for me.
Ty ty ty! I early extend so much and it kills my game. This is helping me fix this. I just need to hit the range to practice this more. I hit a couple 280 with this tip.
Fantastic clear explanation and demonstration of the gluts sequence and clearing hips in process of the downswing allowing for full extension of left leg to be able to swing through.
You do so well in showing and explaining...will over cook this as you say to feel it, then ease it into normal swing, going to work on this on range tomorrow!
Bravo Christina! Now somehow someway we need to get your video here to Charles Barkley! Better yet, he should see you in person for a lesson. Seriously though I very much like this video. I used to be a single digit golfer but just turned 70. Needless to say, I’ve lost a lot of distance with age and lack of flexibility. About the best I can do with a driver now is between 215-225 yards off the tee. Used to be 260-270 off the tee. On par 4’s now, many times it’s driver and a 3-wood. I’ve never tried what you show in your video at least consciously. I’ll give it a go and hope to add 10-15 yards. BTW great explanation of how to work on this. As you say, it doesn’t look easy so will be patient and start slowly to build gradually without getting frustrated. Many thanks for your help!
Fantastic explanation Christina. I am right at the point in my swing development for where this tip is just what I need to work on. Here's to butt power!!!
With this tips I can now address the ball nearer and deliver a more solid strike and still in balance after the follow through. Great tips. The glutes efffectively become the "counter balance weights" especially when the clubhead is swung at high speed.
Thank you Christina. You're explanation and demonstration was excellent. Executing it is much more difficult. Of I may ask, but where do you film? You have beautiful mountains and trees in the background. I find myself sometimes paying attention to your surroundings. 😮
Might have saved my sanity...I am 68 and having lived on a horse farm consider myself in really good shape. However, when playing, I was usually the shortstop and there were days that I could not get my swing in sync. This lower body makes me feel that, for once, I am in control of the swing and the power is now there! Only part in the learning curve was to not straighten my legs...keep the flex and it works!
When i execute this Christina, its awesome. But still often Im pushing balls to the right. Theres a lot of power in them, but they are still too far right. Appreciate the lessons and tips. Like your style.
So glad to hear you love the Butt Move! 3 Tips for you: Add more wrist flexion with lead wrist. Make sure your CHEST is not opening too soon as well. Try slightly stringer grip. I'll do a tip on this. It is common for balls to go right when you first do the Butt Move.
What is your view on the initial drop of the arms of the downswing have the trail glute turn back towards target in opposite direction. Basically your are turning back with the hip and glute more during transition while you squat. At that point you feel even more loaded on backswing
I watch a lot of golf videos and have no idea which one will pop into my head on the first tee. Luckily, this one did last night and I played some of my best golf ever. I tend to suffer from early extension and the deep hip on the take away and roll the butt on the wall on the downswing kept me down and gave me some ground effect. Completely changed the feel of the swing and provided what felt like effortless power. Thanks for the great video!
This helps a lot...the "back to target" thing doesnt work for me, it feels like im turned but turns out its like 45 degrees of shoulder turn and pulling my left arm around my chest excessively...thinking getting the right butt deep gets me that nice full turn...im a former gymnast and am really flexible so it wasnt making any sense that i couldnt make a full turn when im capable of things that require way moee mobility...it was all just not loading my glutes...this was a great tip, i get a massive turn now
Boy, you really do have to pull that front hip (glute) DEEP and for a little longer! It felt very odd at first, but it is starting to feel much more natural. I appreciate it and I enjoy your channel.
THis is great!!!! I am learning so much from your videos that I never got from lessons I have had over the years. It is the nuances you point out that make the difference to improving for me and gaining confidence in my swing. I am freeze framing you going back and through and if I am correct the angle that is created by your upper thighs and torso stays the same or even a touch smaller until you straighten your left leg on the follow through. Is that observation correct? I think I have been using my glutes but I am pretty sure that angle gets much larger going back and through hence lack of power. I am golfing tomorrow and will give this a try. Thanks so much for this excellent video!!!
Love your passion and questions. I highly recommend that you get a swing review so you can target your learning and get all the questions about YOUR swing. Head here to Learn more: www.morepars.com/#coach
Thank you. My lesson today was all about this. However, I have an extremely flat butt...😂. my question is what should I be doing at the gym to make this happen easier for my latent glutes? Just so you know I tried the Brazilian butt workout and I had to go to physical therapy because my hamstrings have been doing the work for my glutes my entire life and I’m 60. My handicap is recently gone down because I’ve been working hard help. ..
Great to hear that your lesson was about engaging the butt! That is fantastic - so great to hear 😀
This is the move that now very few instructors talk about but yet see a lot of pros do it. The missing magic move. Thank you lady.
May be the best explanation of using the hips that I have ever seen, Ty! ⛳

Nobody else is communicating this info the way you do. What a practical explanation. Thank you so much !
Great vid Christina. Sitting deep into the down swing is the best way to shallow the club through impact for sure.
Love your tips. Best on UA-cam.
This is fantastic advice. Thank you for making this video - it’s truly impactful.

Thanks! That was super helpful! I liked all the camera angles that you showed thus making it easier to see the “feel” if you will.

I still love your explanations the best Christina, very clear!
Tried this yesterday and I have to say it way fantastic. Was smashing drives, sequencing right and the irons going farther than they ever have, Thank you

This lady is one of the best teachers out there, no doubt.
I have been watching her videos for a month, simply awesome, she so talented and direct in her instructions Have helped me a lot . Love her❤
Never understood this till I saw this video. Best video EVER. Thanks.
Hips are poetry in motion...thank you
Detailed and clear instruction.
Very well done.
🙌👍
You are right on point dear.. this fixes so many issues.. early extension, distance, lag.. great lesson Christina
Nice breakdown!
Very clearly explained. I like it that the left knee looks like it remains in a very safe and stable position. 👍
Bingo! I just started working in this today and then saw this video it really improved my swing and bombing the driver thank you for doing g this video cheers
Thank you Christina! Going crazy deep really helps me. I find when my glutes aren’t involved, my sequencing is way off.
Thanks Christina! I have been trying to increase my distance for some time and your video with using the hips more, keeping low longer has helped me a lot. I find the follow through is the hardest I hope by continuing this hip turn it will come more natural for me.
It is a good tip for longer distance and consistent shot, but hard to get used to it.
Excellent illustration 👌 👏
Awww golly this is a good clarifying video. Very Lee Trevino. Thanks MPG.
Ty ty ty! I early extend so much and it kills my game. This is helping me fix this. I just need to hit the range to practice this more. I hit a couple 280 with this tip.
The slow motion examples are really helpful!!
Fantastic clear explanation and demonstration of the gluts sequence and clearing hips in process of the downswing allowing for full extension of left leg to be able to swing through.
Thank you Cristina! I feel all that in my body!
Wow, great tip - just subscribed, thanks! Always struggled with "getting on my left side" during the swing, and this swing thought helped greatly!
You do so well in showing and explaining...will over cook this as you say to feel it, then ease it into normal swing, going to work on this on range tomorrow!
Thanks!
Thank YOU!😀
seriously, a great great lesson,, i thankyoeu, very helpful, playing my best golf after many years standiyng up. best wishes
Good instructional piece here. Spot on!
Just what I needed to see. Thanks! Hall
Thanks for your explanation. It just so happens that I've been working on is very thing but it is a work in progress.
Love “what you are using downstairs!”
'To the point of silly' indeed :) I'm a silly goose on the golf course, so this will fit right in LOL
Thanks for a great tip and demonstration.

Awesome video. I've been working on this lately and I'm glad I came across this video. You really clarified this for me!
Thank you, Christina. As always you’re giving excellent instruction!!
Excellent demonstration. Thanks for your instruction Christina! More Pars!
Really well done!! Really enjoying you videos and helping my game tons!! Thank you!
wow. right on. never realized this was my problem. thanks
Question: will I have to shallow my swing plane when using this move, to prevent hitting behind the ball ?......
The Butt Move helps you to shallow the club automatically. If you hit behind it, most likely no lat engagement OR too shallow.
Thanks Christina for the great reminder.
Fantastic explanation Christina.
I am right at the point in my swing development for where this tip is just what I need to work on. Here's to butt power!!!
Thank you for this info. Great lesson
BAAAD AAASSS!!! great lesson. thank you. perfecto!
Will give this a try. Looks like that trail shoulder needs to follow that hip and continue moving through. Thx 😊
Fantastic video! Thanks!!

very good video, i get it right a lot of the time but then at times i do any of the wrong things you mentioned. gonna work on it, thnx for the help.
Nice one - thanks!,
William
I think your best of many great videos.
Love it. Really got to "use it downstairs here".
One of the best advices !!
What a great video. :-)
Absolutely fantastic.
Fantastic lesson. Thank you.
Was easiest to focus on pushing my right butt cheek back behind me by straightening my right leg. Nice video!
Great Job
Exery of side ball slams on the wall are very useful for hip separation and turn!
Might have saved my sanity...I am 68 and having lived on a horse farm consider myself in really good shape. Great tip! How to move hip? Using legs to move ?
Super, super lesson! Gotta get the body out of the way so the arms can swing through.
Great video, good explanation! Thanks.
Great tip!
When i execute this Christina, its awesome. But still often Im pushing balls to the right.
Theres a lot of power in them, but they are still too far right.
Appreciate the lessons and tips. Like your style.

Love this. I stand up too early 🤷♂️ thank you
your the best christina
Yep, that all makes sense - enough sense to take to the driving range to see if I can execute it.
Why-no one talks about chest rotation which is the most important in downswing causing forward shaft lean.
Never heard this one before, "butt" it makes sense! Gonna take a shot at that cool accent...Boston??
I watch a lot of golf videos and have no idea which one will pop into my head on the first tee. Luckily, this one did last night and I played some of my best golf ever. Great video and accent!
Am i supposed to swing inside out when i clear my hips?
Best tip ever
This helps a lot...the "back to target" thing doesnt work for me, it feels like im turned but turns out its like 45 degrees of shoulder turn and pulling my left arm around my chest excessively...thinking getting the right butt deep gets me that nice full turn...im a former gymnast and am really flexible so it wasnt making any sense that i couldnt make a full turn when im capable of things that require way moee mobility...it was all just not loading my glutes...this was a great tip, i get a massive turn now
Let's give it a go! For sure, feeling the right down swing will be difficult.
Boy, you really do have to pull that front hip (glute) DEEP and for a little longer! It felt very odd at first, but it is starting to feel much more natural. I appreciate it and I enjoy your channel.
Yes! That's right and it's a game changer....stick with it and you'll feel effortless power and accuracy!

@@MorePars Thank you I will check that link out. I will check out info on your golf camps too. In person training is more fun!!!!!
What about irons? Get deep as well? Thank you!
Great video … too much arms and not enough “butt” is my swing. Results in bad sequence and a weak “over the top” fade.
LOVE your videos, so helpful. Random..I know this video is two years old, but cute skirt!..Who makes it?
Thank you! It is a great skirt. I wish I could find more. Its by Under Armour
yup👍 this works😊
Thanks, agree
Hey coach! I got to ask this question again on a different video lol.. is the butt move necessary for 40+ yard pitch shots as well?
Great question!. No. Yes, you need to stay in posture but as you get inside 40 yards, the legs become more passive
So no hip bump to start the downswing ?
Love the accent 🇬🇧
Thank you. My lesson today was all about this. However, I have an extremely flat butt...😂. my question is what should I be doing at the gym to make this happen easier for my latent glutes?
