10:49 - Mistakes on my side: Nigeria went up and not down in the EB2 NIW table, and Brazil movement is also wrong in my voiceover. The change in approved cases (#) should be correct
It would be great if on the next video, you include the number of petitions of EB2 Niw, so we can see if a given country is increasing the number of petions thus spiking the denial rate
Hi Oscar's my husband applied eb2 visa thourgh Jacob After applying visa 4 months ago i received RFE and then again required documents send to uscis.and now after 1 month i recived status that my case denied
Thanks Oscar for the video. When you say the quality of petitions are low which may be the reason why denial rate is high, is this a hypothesis or a fact if I may ask ? Could it also be a change in USCIS policy ? Thanks
It's a hypothesis but based on what I see when I review petitions for people outside our course (which I may stop doing). But yes, USCIS changes can also affect. I just don't think that has been the case here but it could play a role after the elections
Oscar, you are awesome. The new interactive figures are fantastic! Thank you for sharing. The trend for NIW is intriguing - but you are right: the quality of petitions is declining. The pool of the 'good' types (the qualified ones) is smaller than the rest.
Thank you for the insightful video, Oscar. Just a quick question, please. Based on your review experience of others' petitions, what page range of the main petition letter do you encounter? What is the ideal page number do you think? Thanks.
Oscar, These are very important data points, thank you. Could you share the sources from which you obtained the application numbers and approval rate data?
Hi oscar.. my employer has upgraded NIW from regular to premium processing. As on 3rd sep.. it is showing, “request for upgrading to premium is pending with uscis”. I havent received any date of receipt notice yet.can you tell me how does it work
Hi Oscar, thank you for continuing support to us. May I just ask of how long usually does it take to get a decision for I140 EB2 now a days? Thank you in advance.
Yes, I think I mentioned it in the video. Definitely a relief for the bulletin in the future but first we need to see if this trend is confirmed or not
@@OscarsGreenCard and Fraaip, it is interesting to point out that i am not sure that the decrease in approval rate or demand will have positive impact on the visa bulletin in the future. The reasons being that demand has spike up from 4,000 per quarter to all time over 10,000 per quarter. The decrease in demand has just gone below 10,000 per quarter rather to the previous 4,000 per quarter. Secondly, the approval rate used to be 90% of 4,000 per quarter. Right now, it is about 68% of 10,000 per quarter. In effect, while the percentage of approval has gone down, the number of approvals are still very high than what it used to be. Thank you
We don't provide evaluations, but teachers have a tough time getting approvals, unless you have a very solid project that will impact beyond the classroom, and very solid credentials as well.
there's no approval rates by country, and the approval rate does not depend on your country, but on your specific case as stated at the end of the video
Will applying for NIW affect my chances of getting H1B with consular processing? I want to apply to NIW soon but I'm also planning to travel to my home country and apply for H1b
I haven´t been doing consultations for months. I am only doing reviews and the spots for September are gone, filled out by course members, who have priority.
Well there is no an explanation the the rise in the denial rate 😢, maybe is just the moment, we are changing the government maybe people are in a rush and sending weak applications. However, the number of applications fall so who knows
Hey Oscar, what´s about the topic that a lower apporval rate has a direct effect on the backlog NIWs? Less approvals means there will be less people waiting for an intweview and USCIS can reduce the backlog.
You can either wait or file premium. Given the long time you have waited, I would probably just wait a bit longer. That being said, you haven't passed the one year mark so it is within normal timeframe

Sorry to hear that. If you think you have a case that could win, you can re-file
What implication does this have on consular processing for EB2NIW
None, it's for I-140, the first step

hi, what about time processing review of the cases?
As usual it's variable, a few months and up to a year

Excelente como siempre Oscar ..
Gracias!
Thank you Oscar for continuing to educate us. If someone has a priority date February 2023, is there time still to file for I 485
You're welcome. If you are talking about EB2 for ROW, that priority date would be current now, yes
Thank you much
Thanks for the analysis!
Of course! thanks for commenting :)
Thanks for all the great info. Oscar, and thanks for your efforts. It really help a lot of us.

My preference is too keep it as concise as possible, not going beyond 25 pages. We cover that and everything else in the course payhip.com/b/gfuRU
Oscar, These are very important data points, thank you. Could you share the sources from which you obtained the application numbers and approval rate data?
Yes, it's in the description of the video

Hi Oscar, thank you for continuing support to us.
May I just ask of how long usually does it take to get a decision for I140 EB2 now a days?
Thank you in advance.
Hi! It could be anywhere from four or five months to a year or so
Is this related to PERM? Which also comes down to fall into the same EB2 category
No, these are NIW only
Do you have any views on how the decrease in demand for EB2 NIW might impact the Visa Bulletin?
Yes, I think I mentioned it in the video. Definitely a relief for the bulletin in the future but first we need to see if this trend is confirmed or not

Another unusual thing happens lately is they issue notice of revoking approved i140. Could you please make a video about this, Oscar? Thank you.
Wow never heard of it. That'snot good, why this happens
I think it's a very, very rare phenomenon. I would make a video if it becomes a real problem but it is not right now
response to RFE takes how much time?
they will specify the deadline, up to 84 days
And the decision on RFE takes how much time these days?
@@Wajihavibes usually up to 2 months
Hi Oscar…good video by you really informative… Would you please share some updates on eb3 visa programs
Thanks! I don't currently cover EB3 except the occasional comment. Maybe in the future , thanks for the suggestion
Hi Oscar, what about only STEM rates?
They don't break down the data like that for each quarter
Hello I am western trained STEM teacher for Elementary and Middle school, what are my chances to get through in EB 2.
We don't provide evaluations, but teachers have a tough time getting approvals, unless you have a very solid project that will impact beyond the classroom, and very solid credentials as well.
Oscar..what is approval rate for Indonesia for EB2 NIW? Is opportunity for Indonesia is better than other countries ?
there's no approval rates by country, and the approval rate does not depend on your country, but on your specific case as stated at the end of the video
what is total approval numbers for Nepal ?
Find it in the website
Will applying for NIW affect my chances of getting H1B with consular processing? I want to apply to NIW soon but I'm also planning to travel to my home country and apply for H1b
No, H1B is a dual intent visa so there's no conflict
Are there gonna be slots for consultation with you this month?
I haven´t been doing consultations for months. I am only doing reviews and the spots for September are gone, filled out by course members, who have priority.
Isn't this why its good to do premium - so you know your fate as soon as possible.
Well, that is a personal choice to make depending on your tolerance for uncertainty and budget.
The number of applications of NIW decreased but the approval rate also decreased, this means the bar is rising.
Yes, maybe, we'll have to see when the next quarter data is released
Well there is no an explanation the the rise in the denial rate 😢, maybe is just the moment, we are changing the government maybe people are in a rush and sending weak applications. However, the number of applications fall so who knows
well, the number fell a bit this quarter but has been very high for a few quarters
@@OscarsGreenCardyeah good point, I think people are desperate, to add up most likely the Republican Party will rule the next 4 years
What about Turkey?
You can find it in the table on the website
It is when we decide to apply that the amount of demand of this category increases 😂
well, it´s popular for a reason :D
Does it make a difference on which service center you choose ? Texas or Nebraska ? do they have an impact on approval rates ?
1 - you can´t choose service center and 2- this data is not broken down by center
nigeria... yayyy
