This is not about how cool or adorable your fakemon are, its about the time effort and love you gave them.
My father is a college teacher (he teaches science) so i'm pretty much aware what you are talking about.
Love every single idea you gave your starters.
Complete agreement alongside this making science easier for kids to understand
I have less experience with/knowledge of that, but have noticed since shortly after I started loving Pokemon that it was science-based.
As a STEM major, I loved seeing all the inspiration behind these starters. While I deal more with physics than anything, I do really like the Micicule line, it's just so well designed
I love how all the middle evolution designs don't feel like the awkward teen years of the pokemon, and feel like an actual unique stage in the evolution process.
Real talk, your production quality is too high for you to not have more subscribers. Subbed halfway through and this is my first video of yours I've seen. I look forward to seeing more.
Same
I've seen many fakemon regions based on countries, but never something like a science field. This is really creative!
Also, the UI in this video is fantastic, like one of those video explanations you would look up about a topic in school you didn't understand.
Well it’s supposed to be scientific so the UI going to be pretty good
Yea
In a way, it's kind of true to the pokemon roots. Gen 1 wasn't the "Japan" region, it just kinda happened to be there because it's a Japanese game with some creatures based on local folklore. Gen 1's theme more broadly is just "evolution", the core of the franchise. Some are stages of a single lifetime, some are generational parent and offspring, some are about origin of species, some are attempts at man-made evolution... It's baked in to every generation now, but back then it was the whole theme of the game. So in a parallel timeline, the sequels could have focused more on the sciency side.
@@mr.g6004 what
The region may be a custom island
I can just see skirmal in the anime, running along the wall of wherever it’s battling to start or grow its flames.. they’re all fantastic designs!
Totally agree
Oh my god, why can't we have you as a teacher? You're great at explaining science and You've got amazing Fakemon designs on top of that! As a bit of a nerd, I love this series so much!
Pokemon?
@@juliannieorlandostories3340 fakemon is just the general term for any fan made pokemon design
I love the shiny reference in the water type starter, making the body red (oxygen) and the ears/bubbles white (water)
(hydrogen)
I WANT A SLUGANT SO BAD! I really love how you got inspiration for each one based on STEM too really has a special feel to it.
Respect that he bothered to animate this
As a lover of science, I gotta say, this video is SO COOL!! I adore the idea of using scientific terms/ concepts to design anything- and pokemon is one of my favourite thing!
I really love how much details you put in there, and how well the themes fit the designs and the evolution of the line ( going from potential to kinetic and then thermal energy was so clever ).
I will definitely be looking forward to see what else you put up! And also to hear your process!
It's hard to believe that this is a relatively new channel, everything looks so professionally made! The animations, the art design, all the research that went into making this. All superb! Can't wait to see where this STEM-based region goes ^_^
Your creativity is off the chart. Most of artist would based their design on history or something iconic. I have not expected your design to be based on science (physic, chemistry, etc.) Great job!!!!
I love the creative ideas behind your starters. The scientific inspirations are amazing. It's so hard for me to pick a favorite out of the three. I may ultimately choose the Potink line. I can't wait to see more from you.
The water line is my favorite. I also really like how you implement their inspirations into their designs, and a science theme is quite unique and creative.
Oh my goodness these starters are amazing! Firstly the photosynthesising leaf slug HAS to be a mon someday, and you did it a lot better than other versions I have seen, and you actually made it fit in with your line super well, having a food chain within one Pokémon line is so cool. Then with the fire starter I’ve always wanted a fire type based on kinetic energy, and you pulled it off really well. Then finally while I like the depth in design of the final forms of first two more, I love the first two taking a Mickey Mouse particle and making it a mouse, very cute and based solely off of first forms I’d say it’s probably the best. And I really like your style. I could go on and on, such an underrated channel.
😂
I love the concepts! The grass being the energy pyramid is great. One idea I have is that the first stage should be the largest blob since the producers have the largest biomass, it gets thinner / smaller as it goes. Alternately, you can invert the pyramid. Start the grass starter as a the predatory plant, and have the final be the ‘producer’ since the producer class is the largest and the most planty. Having the producer class be the ‘best’ is a nice inversion of how we usually erroneously perceive the energy pyramid. The final evo can have a sun theme as well, give it solar power or chlorophyll since the thing that DEFINES the 'producer' class is the ability to gain energy from non organic materail/ forces, notably sunlight.
For the ability i think chlorophyll and solar power are bad choices. Name wise they fit but they'd likely suck (unless it's an offensive pokemon, but that's unlikely). Regenerator would make more sense. The pokemon is based on autotrophs, which means it can "feed" itself so regenerate itself. Given autotrophs don't consume other living beings, so it would be a very defensive/passive pokemon
@@dudono1744 Great idea too!
It’s actually crazy, I used phet back in highschool physics and taking chemistry in college I could recognize all of the mechanics you used in creating these Pokémon. Awesome designs! Keep it up!
Why you don't have 100k subs
Late edit: Why you dont have 200k subs ( keep going until you reach 1mln)
Ikr
good question
True
Because he doesn't have 100k poeple subscribe to him
That a good question
These are an interesting concept for a starter trio, and I genuinely like the designs of all your starters
I’m super excited for more Pokémon from this concept
Right off the top of my head, Relativity seems like a cool Pokémon idea. Absolutely Can’t wait for more of your content
Relativity is a neat concept. It made me think that making the legendaries based on the two big theories in physics, general relativity and quantum mechanics, would be cool. A black hole mon and a quark mon, lol.
Potink would have my heart as soon as I get the chance to choose a starter. The whole evolutionary line is SO GOOD, the whole Concept you have with the Region is SO creative! Mad respect
"slash puntable" I felt this in my soul thank you!
This makes me so happy, as a science nerd and pokemon fan. I love how much thought is put into these mons, and can't wait to see more in the future!!!
I love the inspiration behind these starters, i love the micicule line the most its probably the most well designed and the psychic type added into vseproo was cool and origanal
Unironically this could be such a wonderful educational program for intro to physics
I absolutely love the concepts, so much heart, soul, and care were put in the details. 🥰🥰
As I struggled and suffered through my biology degree it feels so good to see a Pokémon inspired by something I know so much about ❤
AAA I LOVE THIS I LOVE WHEN PPL COMBINE NERDY INTERESTS IN CREATIVE WAYS
The audio sounds better than last vid I saw keep improving you are very quickly becoming one of my fav channels!
Skinetic running in circles fills my day with joy XD
He's so precious :)))
I'm so happy that your fire starter mon is based on Physics, my fave of the three science subjects!
I love all of these guys!! Not only are their designs amazing, but as a STEM head I think the inspiration for all of them is amazing!!
Watching smth related to pokemon and learning stem? YES THIS IS WHAT WE NEEDED
This is the best fakemon starters I’ve ever seen! It’s so creative, excited to see more!
A pokemon region based on stem is amazing. If this was real kids could learn a lot while playing their favourite game, amazing work
As a bio major and pokemon enjoyer I have to say, this channel was made for me! I love all 3 lines so much! Keep up the awesome content.
I really love these starters and although this video was a year old I’m really excited to see other videos after this one!
I love your drawing it looks too cute to exist
Edit: my favorite one is the plant type starter
Honestly loved the deep dive look into the starters and their evos they all look so great!!! Can't wait to hear more in later videos!
Gotta say, I love your channel mascot avatar thingy! Looks eerie yet gentle!
I think these might be the best fakemon starters I'd ever seen
These starters are amazing! I never would've been able to stick to a design theme like that. I can't wait for the game to come out.
I absolutely love these starters and also I am learning something new that I never knew
The designs are ridiculously creative my guy, keep doing what you're doing for as long as you can.
OH MZ GOD I ACTUALLY ADORE ALL THREE STARTERS I WOULD NOT KNOW WHICH TO CHOOSE, I CHOSE THE GRASS ONE BLINDLY BEFORE WATCHING THE VID BUT I LOVE THE OTHER TWO SO MUCH TOO
"...making the design more compact and cute / puntable" sorry guys, i gotta go punt charmander real quick i'll be back soon-
on a serious note: good video! i'm in love with the art you went with for the starters, it makes so much sense especially with how they are the *starters* of both the region and different science fields in general
I love how when Skentic was running in circles it looked like the Haddon collider
This is so clever! I love how detailed the mons are, it’s clear you spent a lot of time researching this.
I look forward to seeing more of your creations. Awesome idea and educational to boot.
I Love the Shiny form of The mouse Type. I love when the shint is a play on what the Mons based off of.
As a biology major currently playing pokemon scarlet, this is one of the coolest things ive ever seen
Just stumbeld over this channel and this video(after its already one year old) but this video is extreeeemly good for a channel with "only" 90k subs. Your bokemon designes are better than 80% of the original pokemon and 99% of the new pokemons. And brooo your ideas behinde the concepts are soo cool. Not even for the real pokemon ther is so much thought put in!
Great vid and i hope you reache 100k very soon
Also I would abosolutley 100% pick slugant as my starter. Grass is my second favorite type ever, just behind rock, I think plant science is incredibly neat, and nudibranchs are my favorite animals in real life. This thing is perfection to me.
I just got my bachelors in biology, so it was so fun to try and predict whatever the concept was before u told us! I also love how you chose 3 different fields of stem for the 3 starters, bio, physics, and chem. Great idea and I love ur designs! U represented the science really well imo
I like how the Slugant line goes from an animal that eats like a plant, to a plant that eats like an animal
Overall, I love all of these starter designs (especially the Slugant line) and the concept of an entire region of Pokémon being based off various science concepts is a really unique idea and I'm curious to see what Fakemon spawn from this idea (I really hope there is one based off of magnetism, nuclear fission, or even a line based around the amino acids). The one thing I would change would either Omnilusk or Vseproo's secondary type as Vseproo is object fully the strongest of the trio due to directly countering the other two starters. With its Water type countering the Fire/Ground Skirmal and it Psychic type countering Omnilusk's Poison Type.
Man makes me miss STEM since I was moved to another high school early in junior high school and wasn't able to learn these things.
I always go back to this video, the inspiration between the starters and how you implemented that in various ways make this one of my favorite regions off the bat
"I have a problem with Castform, but I'll address that later."
**MandJTV malding in the background.**
i LOVE that thermal guy. if i played a pokemon game and saw that i would INSTANTLY choose it
For some reason Skinetic spinning around is soo cute
THIS RETION IS SO FUCKING CLEVER WITH ITS STUFF! These are really cool!
For being such a small youtuber, the effort you put into your videos is amazing. Love the videos!
This is actually a genius concept for a trio. Honestly, if we ever got an “All Regions” Pokémon game, it would be cool if, instead of picking one starter from each region, these would be considered “universal starters” or Pokémon of the pure elements themselves, & you can find the other region starters in the wild.
Nice video! GL on making your game. I draw Fakemon based on music. Making a game is a dream, but TBH learning how to draw is hard enough on its own.
i learned more about why water molecules are polar from this than my actually biology class.
Automatic Subscriber🏆, DUDE!!! these concepts are mwah! It's such a Chief's kiss for me!!! 🧡 👌🏻
As a STEM student, I have never been more captivated and intrigued by how creative these are. The way you implemented Science and made it the theme for your starters is pretty astounding. I got suddenly excited to see the game you are about to make come to fruition and I really want to play it! You truly deserve more subscribers👑👑.
potink perfect, slugant supremacy, minicule magnificent
I absolutely love the slug and it’s evolutions amazing work
All of these designs look amazing, great job
Man, I hardly ever care for grass starters, but godDAMN do I love Omnilusk, and the idea of moving up the energy pyramid is so good. I also love the Skirmal line with the same transition concept. Micicule is cute, but doesn't hold a candle to the other two. It's rare for me not to immediately prefer the water line, which I think just show how superb your designs on the Grass and Fire starters are.
This is absolutely FANTASTIC. I'm going to show my sons this vid and STEM sites!
As someone who love science and mythical creature design, this is amazing!!!
I love how much thought you put into the inspiration for these designs. I loved hearing about what makes these them. I love how they are based on biology , physics and chemistry.
This is really high quality and a fun theme!
I understood basically nothing but what you’re doing is amazing
skinetic is so friend-shaped. i love this!!
This is the second video I found of you
I love the format of these videos and they look amazing
I LOVEEE THE FIRE AND WATER STARTERS AND FINAL EVOLUTIONS!!!
3:17 I love Skinetic's tail chasing animation.
Yes
im so glad this video got randomly recommended to me the idea of a science based pokemon region and the starter designs are cool as heck! I look forward to the other stuff u do
The Grass-Type one looks like something out of Slugterra. I love it.
I've come across your art on Instagram, and I love the way they look and the concepts behind them. I'm glad to see you're making videos as well because it's great to hear your explanations behind the designs!
I have no idea why I didn’t watch this series before. These starters look awesome!
Always nice to come back to a CLASSIC!
I'm in love with these they're such a perfect marriage of science fields and creature design it feels transcendent!
Amazing starter designs. Perfect amount of theming in their design. First and foremost a cool creature with subtle references to each branch of science. 10/10 💯
You made them all so cool to the point where idk what i would choose oh my god
I've been thinking about a mon based on the sundew for ages! You executed on it very well :D
ive been following you for a while but apparently never watched these videos. huh, its cool to see how much you've changed and improved
All of the knowledge flies out the other side of my brain once you showed me the designs
It’s really cool to see some more science based fakemon! The field of science has so many extremely cool aspects to it, which can make for some great fakemon concepts, I’m honestly surprised there aren’t more of them. I just recently made a bunch of fakemon based on all of a cell’s membrane bound organelles, and it was a ton of fun. I hope to eventually show off the designs in a video of my own.
Man if my science teacher showed me this I’d be invested in science , this is really cool!
Having a water starter that at least starts as a rodent is everything I want, thank you
This is sick.
I love the designs, i love how the concepts aren't forced on the pokemon it genuinely feels real.
Your designs are so cute!! And inspired! This is defintely now one of my most eagerly anticipated regions.
learnt more from this video then i did in my whole time at school
Awesome ideas and really cool mons!
Really fresh and definitely needed in this franchise.
I choose the grass slug because we all deserve a grass slug Pokemon and your design is absolutely awesome. I'm happy you've decided to make a full game out of these designs!
I love how much thought goes into each and every one of these designs. The fact that you don’t have more subscribers is so confusing to me. Keep up the awesome art!
I wish this much thought was put into the actual franchise. Fan ideas are always so cool.
