- Day 24 of our Tacoma build. The Goal is 30 days to build it, 30 videos, 1 ton axle, 40" tires and so much more. Today we pull the rear end back out and take it apart to prepare to setup the gears! Plus while everything is out we give all the parts a fresh coat of paint!
The Tacoma is a 2010 TRD Sport, manual transmission, short box. And we are using the solid axles from a Ford Super Duty, Dana 60 front, Sterling 10.5 rear.
THANK YOU SPONSORS, check them out! This build would not be possible without them!

Every time I see those half shafts !!! LOVE EM
I can't believe you are doing most things by yourself!!! But looking good!!!!
No "Helper" today? Is saw Phoenix running away from the truck in the beginning, ha!
this build is epic. how you managed to source all your parts and have them arrive so timely I applaud you
Looking good Buddy! See you tomorrow. Stay safe!!
Hope all your parts show up ASAP!
Looks like you need to fix that bench grinder down a bit better 😆
Guess I gotta go look up the roll bar now. Fun to watch this build bro, looks like fun to do too.
Its going to be a mad dash these last few days lol. You got it man! Its looking great!
I think I jumper the fun buy-in my new tires for my build. I bought a Dana 70 rear axle. And just spent a ton of money on 15 inch tires not even thinking that the Dana 70 or 60 needs probably 16 inch wheels or more to clear the rotors on these big bad boys. Ugh. 38.5x11x15 Boggers, which work great on my 93 4 runner. Anyone know the minimum wheel clearance for a Dana 70 rear? I plan to run the disk break conversion if that makes a difference, which might save my bacon...
No reason to be soory aboot the noise! Are u going with the classic gray for the body/fiberglass? If so, the copper would have looked pretty good, but I understand ur going all-black for the undercarriage
