I’ll Never understand why people stand behind trucks when you know their wheels are going to spin and kick out rocks. One rock to the head and you’re eating dinner through a straw
Inwas not expecting the full sized truck to be so capable off road. I was expecting the mid sized to dominate in all categories to do wkth off road everything.
People dog on the Tundra's A-Trac system when in reality if you use it as Toyota describes it works pretty darn well. If you noticed the Tundra had 3 out of 4 tires spinning which most 4x4's only have two. For not having a locking rear diff I was pretty impressed. It's why I own a TRD Pro. Love the truck. The pecking order is wife, kids, truck, dog.
@@gregcox1994without locker it's 4x2 not all 4 have power and this is how it used to be the drivetrain on the tundra is basically what was 20 years ago
@@gregcox1994 Don't know if you're aware of this... Unless you got Rear and Front locking diffs, 4 wheels are spinning same time all the time, and there is a reason for it. Good thing you aren't buy a Toyota, seems like you don't know much about this stuff.
Tire pressure seems too high and also funny how I envy both of these trucks for their power and size but I feel like my Jimny will eat up that climb lol
I had a 2014 Tacoma it 4 wheels way better than the tundra I gave up the Tacoma because inside cab was to small then I got a 2015 tundra loved it then loved the tundra so much I got another one
@@davidb7175 I like the Cooper AT3 4S that I have for a great all around tire. They're not mud tire leaning all terrains ,they're street tire leaning all terrains. They do perfect until you get into 6 inches of mud and then they don't have enough bite. It was between those and the wild peak AT3 (falken is a better off road tire I think) but the coopers we're half off so that's what happened lol. The on road performance is just as good or better compared to any passenger tire. I think the destination AT tires that I had on from the factory had more bite off road . The coopers are FAR better on road.
Tire pressure needs to be 20-25 and ditch the all terrain tires. The treads on all terrain aren't deep enough to sling the mud and debri out to free up some space so your tires won't be drag slicks. It'll make a noticeable difference.
That was honestly hard to watch. All those people watching and not one of them had any spotting experience. Dude damn near broke his Tacoma because he couldn’t see what was directly underneath the front of his truck 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
Liked the video. Couple of questions. What's the PSI on the Tundra tires?? Looks like they weren't aired down at all. And is the Tacoma on A/T's while the Tundra was on M/Ts?
Both trucks need a driver mod. What's with not airing down? These obstacles aren't that difficult. Also, it's like they don't know how to utilize and keep up their momentum.
Americans make me laugh, if your gonna go offroading atleast do the basics. Air down and get the Wright tires. Maybe your just trying to make toyotas look bad.😂😂😂😂
I genuinely get upset at dudes that buy a Tacoma and claim to have a truck. That’s not a truck it’s a jacked up el Camino. Fellas, if you are a man don’t buy a woman’s “truck.”
Huh kinda disappointed that both could barely make it up that trail hump. Perhaps jeep are better? But I honestly rather used a old Tacoma not the new modern ones. Too much computer and complex calculations for vehicles and jus makes it useless if can't even do that in stock vehicle
Este off road es de dificultad baja-media y aburrido, hasta para eso son aburridos los gringos. Echen un vistazo al off road en Chile, les dan 1000 patadas a este juego de niños...
The taco didnt make it up cause they didnt air down much if anything and from what i can see poor driving, coming in to fast and not a clear line. also thats the sports model prolly no locker @@mugshock1234
All kidding aside these are fun realistic videos with everyday trucks. Thank you for them.
I’ll

Lmao 4x4 mean all 4 rotate … this video let me know don’t buy Toyota cause that was embarrassing… they don’t make em like they used to

My pecking order would be my son, dog, truck then a wife. Please don't be a simp. That's what women want and that's what they end up leaving
Maybe teach the guy to stop letting off the gas also
I always wanted to be one of those nerds that get all excited by claiming first in these videos. So FIRST!! Haha!

Look grandma I’m watching off road trucks she said Tundra too heavy come get some dim sum 🥟 if you want some 😂😂
thats pretty tough on both trucks going up those rocks I wonder if airing down wouldve helped any?
I had a blast out there with you guys.

End of the day, how many times we go off road? Before my tundra I had a 300 n never needed 4x4 the TSS is way more than enough
Awesome tires on the tundra. What's the pressure at ? Probably needs to be lower.
Was about to post the same thing. I’m not a fan of BFG all-terrain tires that the tacoma was stuck with.

I love tundra so much.....
Oh yeah that first truck would make it up easier with lower air pressure no problem.. awesome vid👍👍
Lake Havasu 🌞 Az
Agreed. Tire pressure is king.. I've got decades of experience. Ile go down to 10lbs in my TRD PRO TACOMA no issues.
My 3rd gen 4runner would waltz up that rock hill

Bro, mud wasn't the problem.
I can see some people have feedback, but it doesn't require being rude.
Did something break on the Tacoma?
No he just called it and backed down. Rolling rock hill is rough when its muddy.

Didn’t look like either one has mud tires. It’s all about the tires.
Liked the video. Couple of questions. What's the PSI on the Tundra tires?? Looks like they weren't aired down at all. And is the Tacoma on A/T's while the Tundra was on M/Ts?
Those didn't look like MTs to me on the Tundra either. I think tires were handicapping both of them.
Amateurs?? Mud tires + air down + ATS + crawl control= piece of cake.
Should have let the Tacoma go first
Jeez lower the tire pressure on the tundra and use 4low for the climb, maybe the driver needs a brain modification
Exactly, ppl don’t use the technology correctly for the truck n fail
People have to understand that any lighter truck will perform better on off road. .
A trac activated in 4 Lo at 2:30 is n he would have crawled right up

All Terrain tires are crap for off-road. Get some mud grips.
WhAt exhaust is on that tundra
Sound like axle or something broke on the tacoma split second just before video was cut. Tundra seamed to win.
Did you guys not air down?
Americans make me laugh, if your gonna go offroading atleast do the basics. Air down and get the Wright tires. Maybe your just trying to make toyotas look bad.😂😂😂😂
Wuao
Full size trucks are much more enjoyable in a collision....
The tacoma driver could do it better
Хоть на танке ездишь выбирай всегда правильный маршрут учитывай вес, грунт,препятствий
Is the tundra awd rwd or 4x4
4x4
Hilux would have got up ages ago

Just bad driving is all
Air Down to 10 PSI
In what State are you guys located?
Ladies, learn to drive!!!
tire preusre lower it and you will be fine
mo mentum, your friend
A la Tacoma le pusieron camino más feo ...de lo contrario se que la Tacoma le gana en todo a la tundra
И вот и сели, потому что весит как слон, вот и роет под себя.
AWD here is lame. I was thinking about buying Tacoma... Thank you, not thinking anymore.
Looks like they don't know their Toyota have crawl control mode
La Toyota tundra es mejor

Pathetic.. I was thinking about getting a tundra but I'm having second thoughts now lol. My tacoma does these small obstacle with no issues at all.
Didn't air down enough and I don't think tundra comes with a rear locker..
