Top Ten Characters That Should Return in Street Fighter 6

- With Street Fighter entering a new generation in Street Fighter 6, I wanted to speculate how some old classics would work in this modern game, whether it’s with the former young blood of the older games, or veterans who were now even more experienced. I’m going all over Street Fighter’s (and Final Fight’s) history to discuss who I think would be the coolest fighters to in Street Fighter 6.

I’d like R.Mika to come back but with a twist, to revitalise her wrestling career she has a heel turn. Obviously she isn’t really evil but her wrestling personality is, with a darker design and a few new cheating moves such as spitting mist at the opponent to blind them , using a chair to beat them over the head or pulling them by the hair . Maybe she keeps Nadeshiko in her moveset where they have some unfair double team moves.

Sean is definitely who I want for Street Fighter 6. If they do, I hope they give him back his slam dunk Dragon Smash. I hated how they nerfed him in 3rd Strike. I noticed Luke does a slam dunk in his ex Rising Rocket.

I’d like to have Hugo back, I want to see Hugo with an updated look and move set.
Hugo coming back would be awesome but they need to speed up his movement a bit. I feel like Hugo should have explosive speed in his moves, because he has to be able to catch his opponent for a command grab.

I am SHOCKED you mentioned Abel. Abel is one of my favorite characters from Street Fighter 4, but every time I mention him everyone says he's the most boring character. He was boring, but I liked that; he didn't have some crazy backstory aside from being a clone, and when his story was resolved he was fine with being a clone. It's the fact that everyone found him boring which is why he never returned in SFV as DLC. I'm just glad there's another fellow Abel Enjoyer.
Glad you liked that! With many people just playing fighting games for the gameplay, if a character isn't flashy off the bat, they may not click, and that's what happened with Abel I feel. I always had a blast with his moves and liked when he showed signs of being a fun guy, like with his love of animals. I mentioned it in a different video, but my favorite unexplored aspect of Abel is his SFxT alternate costume where he's half human and half Seth-style robot to show his true self. They never did anything with that concept, so if I wasn't such a fan of wholesome Abel, I'd see if they'd try something like that for his next iteration.

He is Boring, but honestly 1 gameplaywise he is deffinitely fine, and 2, well everyone have their own taste! If they are Boring to me he isnt necessarely to you! Hell I want Q back and well... he is Q.
A lot of people wouldn’t bother buying Abel so i don’t think it would make it worth releasing him as a DLC character in six

I really wanna see more Elena. I love her design, her animations, and her fighting. Just picked up sf3 and her up close kicks and sweeps are so much fun. Especially cancelling into a brace dance super

I wanna see Abel and Fei long back in SF 6. Abel was the first character I picked on SFIV and he's kind of my comfort character too cos of his story and Fei Long is just a classic.
Abel has 0% of making the roster unless his rule 63 version is badly received.

I'd like to see Sean return, as a more viable character (like Dan was buffed in SF5). Dudley would be a better choice than Abel returning to SF, but if they're going to have a blonde guy, then it should be Eagle (whose look & fighting style is more unique). With her interesting appearance, & distinct fighting style, Elena should be included, instead of someone like Maki. And I wouldn't mind seeing a few "old masters" return, like: Gen & Gouken.

Ingrid was also in Project X Zone 2. And the best part about her interactions with the others is how Xiaomu was the only one not immediately taken in by her in the slightest.
Makoto, Sean, Sakura, Ibuki, Karin... They have a lot of young bloods that Capcom should be lining up to be the new generation of Street Fighter while the OGs are still there but some of them should start taking the role of mentors
Fun thing I'd like to mention: Guile wasn't a big supporter of Sakura being a Street Fighter at first when they met up during Alpha 3, but then Sakura held her own against Bison when she fought him with Ken Masters alongside her while Sagat was fighting off Ryu.
Keep in mind: Bison was the one who killed Guile's friend, Charlie Nash. And Sakura was just fresh off of fighting Hyo Imawano alongside Akira, Hinata, and their friends at Gedo High & Taiyo High respectively at the time Alpha 3 rolled around. When Sakura and Guile met up again in Street Fighter 4, his opinion of her changed A LOT, to the point where he held respect for her and said that she would be a great fighter someday.
Sakura's not young. She's in the same generation as Cammy and Chun-Li.

@@captainmega6310 She's 15/16 in Alpha 2. Chun-Li joined Interpol when she was 18 years old. Cammy in her Alpha costume was designed to be 16 years old. Ryu is 23/24 from SF1 to Alpha 3. I always find it funny when people put Sakura in the same age range as Ibuki, Makoto and Sean she's way older than these kids.

Yea, Sodom, a favorite of mine for sure! The move where he grabs you and drags you across the ground is a move I try to pull off as much as I can when I use him. Definitely would like to see him return 👍.
I hope we can see the character Necro come back.
YES! Necro has to come back, one the funniest characters in SF3, a lot of personality, a lot of wackiness, a lot of throwbacks (basically Dhalsim, Blanka and Zangief's moveset mixed with new ones), and a nice story, see he and his girlfriend's wacky adventures after Gill would be perfect
Yay! Ingrid is on the list! She's my favorite character in the Capcom Fighting Evolution and Alpha 3 Max and even though I think Makoto (which I love too) fits better, I wish they give her a chance in the roaster.
Ingrid pretty much gets hate for the stupidest of reasons.
"She’s a Mary Sue!": Of course she is - that’s because she’s a goddess and wields the ORIGINAL FORM OF PSYCHO POWER (her Alpha 3 MAX story ended up having a little mistranslation over here in the US involving the power she has, so… yeah).
"She’s an Athena rip-off!" Does Ingrid wield the kind of Psycho Power M. Bison & Athena have? No. Therefore, she’s NOT an Athena rip-off.
"Her story makes no sense!" Mistranslation for one thing, and for the other thing - _it’s Capcom._ Their character stories DON’T have to make any sense. Remember that Darkstalkers 3 manga where Lilith was the protagonist? When Q-Bee confronts Felicia & Lilith, the latter said she left Makai because it was downright BORING (we even see that right at the start of the manga - Lilith leaving Makai because it was boring and deciding to head to Earth instead).
I never even thought about wanting Mike Haggar to return in SF6, but it would be a fun inclusion anyway.

Bringing back Eagle, Maki, Sodom, and someone surprising like Juni or Juli would be amazing. These characters would be back after nearly 20 years, much like R.Mika was in SFV.
I'm afraid Juni has been casted for the will they, won't they role with Cammy. At least they gave that vibe in one of Cammy's SF5 endings.

@@bellzo5 forest has been appeared in tekken 3. He was already a next generation. sadly due to his popularity cut short they went back to Marshall for obvious reasons. Forrest was absent in tekken 4 was the reasons why forest wasn't usually popular because the fans could not tell who is marshall and who is Forest. until tekken 5, they decides to absent again and discovered Forest was injured in a Motorcycle accident according to Marshall's interlude with Paul. So he haven't seen or heard from him. There's a chance if Forest would return for tekken 8 and letting Marshall to retired for once this time

I really want Necro to be back, when I played SF3 Third Strike he made me love him right away, yeah, yeah, "Necro is just a Dhalsim, Zangief and Blanka ripoff" but his style is completely different from them and can be even more wacky than before, he and his girlfriends interactions where the funniest ones for me, and that's a good trope to have, a wacky character, and it will not even take Dan's spot as he is more of "serious" comic relief character, there's space for everyone

Sodom could be used for great commentary on the weeb culture, its positive and negative sides. His moveset could also have a lot of references to manga, anime and japanese games. I can already see one if his victory animations being him strinking a JoJo pose
I want Twelve to come back. He was such an interesting creature and we need to do him justice since he was not too strong in Third Strike. His animations were amazing and his ending gave hints to him having a complex evolved mind that was more than a grunt who just follows orders

Glad I could spread the word about Eagle! I always found it weird how they redesigned him just for spinoff games and never put all their ideas to good use in a mainstream SF game.

Since they are “technically” takes place in the same world here are my other honorable mentions:
- Any of the Rival School characters esp. Akira/Daigo Kazama, Hinata Wakaba, Batsu Ichimonji, Roy/Tiffany Bromwell, Ran Hibiki; I mean seriously the DLC in SFV is a total waste of Akira’s appearance in SF they need to exploit them more.
- Karin Kanzuki and Sakura Kasugano
- Any of the Asura’s Wrath characters esp. Asura and Yasha, make them at “nerfed” version of themselves to make it more balanced.
- Alex
- If they will add Sean in to mix be better put also Laura as well.
- Make Oni a canon character
- Goma, Goutetsu, Gouken as a re-animated corpse ala Orochimaru re-animation jutsu from Naruto.

Great list. A lot of cool obscure characters we need to see again! Glad Sean is number one. I’ve been wanting to see a more powerful version of Sean for years. I don’t want him to go down the Sakura or Dan route, he needs to be a beast like Ryu, Ken, and Akuma.

@@nonuvurbeeznus795 Did you play her story in SFV? She seemed to be transitioning out of fighter life and into motherhood/adult life. Getting strong isn’t her main life goal. In the manga she becomes a teacher. Capcom will still include her in games because she’s popular, but she doesn’t want to be a “fighter” anymore. I don’t want Sean to go down that kind of route with his story.
@@busymike Fighting has never really been her main goal. All of the other fighters remark that she really has only gotten stronger because of this. Things like 'doubt' and 'finding her own path' make her strong. For a long time she divided her attention between fighting and being a school student, now between fighting and having a job, and one day between fighting and being a teacher, or being a mother.
But I understand what you mean. Sakura is just special to me because she's, as far as I can remember, the only one who has a job that doesn't involve fighting, or the supernatural, haha. I have very high hopes she'll release in SF6 as a DLC character.
I guess I just associate 'Dan' with 'being a total joke and a loser' because for the most part, he is XD. but Sakura is not

Yes and No. Sakura always had a life outside of fighting, but it was always her main focus (or more exactly, her main focus was improving herself as a martial artist). She was held back in school several years because she dedicated her time to traveling and training first. Her IV intro has her writing in her journal about her insane training regimen and her ending was her still training and wondering how much she improved as a fighter.
Comparatively, V's Sakura really come of as thinking that maybe she was never really into fighting, or thinking about retiring from it. And it seems to present her interest in fighting as just her imitating Ryu (when it seemed more like she admired Ryu because he was what she aimed to be as a fighter, not the other way around).
Sakura's popularity means she could always come back, but all in all, it comes of as someone at Capcom trying to write her out to pull what I call a "retire the waifu", which is when the creators goes out of their way to not show a cute female character getting older, which happens occasionally in Japanese works.
I certainly hope this isn't the case and she'll be allowed to grow older like the other characters.
Tbh I've always thought Ingrid feels like she fits more as a Capcom VS character than a Street Fighter character - wouldn't object to her showing up in SF6, tho. Points for based Hakan doe! (I think they could also go for one of his freaky squid daughters but grown up)
Yeah, I've felt the same way about Ingrid. I think the moveset and design are fun, but she has elements that belong in different fighting games where I'm fine with her no reappearing, even if I would like to see her on a roster eventually. Though, if Capcom ever announces another crossover fighting game, I'll probably be bringing up Ingrid again lol
@@MrTopTenList yeah whether it’s a potential “DC vs Capcom” or a “Shonen Jump vs Capcom” game, you could hopefully think that Ingrid will eventually showed up alongside Rook, Avel, & D.D. as well!!

@@MrTopTenList I dunno. I kind of liked Ingrid’s story in Alpha 3 MAX and how her powers that basically came from the Sun were basically the original form of Psycho Power. Yeah, sure, mistranslation over in the states caused Ingrid to be hated for the stupidest reasons you could possibly imagine, but she still has her fans in both the US and Japan, so why not bring her back for SF6 just to rub salt in the haters’ wounds?
I know some people won't agree with me on this, but I would personally love to see Decapre come back.
For me, Adon, Sagat, Rolento, Balrog, Cody, Guy, Yun, Yang, Sean, Abel, Dudley, DeeJay, Elena, and Sodom should come

I love Street Fighter and I can't wait for Street Fighter 6 and I hope Makoto makes it in along with many of the characters in this list. Also I really hope they continue giving us Sakura Kasugano and Ibuki so far we have both of them in Street Fighter 4 and Street Fighter V hopefully we get them in Street Fighter 6 along with Karin Kazuki. Cool video. ^_^

My number one most wanted character is Necro! He was such a weirdo, I'd love to see the next phase of him! I also secretly hope for some left field choice like Darun Mister, though I doubt that would ever happen.
YES! I never see people talking about Necro, he's one of the most wacky and fun characters in SF3, and even though he shares a lot with Dhalsim, Blanka and Zangief, I think he mix so many things together that he gets an unique style at the end of the day.
I can agree with a lot of this list. Out of the ones you mentioned Viper, Maki and Sean are my most wanted. Also wouldn't mind Haggar making his debut, keeping him to the Final Fight side as that series protagonist only holds weight if Capcom actually continues Final Fight as a series lol

I REALLY wanna see a reality where Ken left the fighting scene because of some unforeseen fate given to Sean. Obviously Shadaloo is no more, but there are plenty of avenues for new villains or anti-hero characters; it would be very interesting to see Sean return after realizing he could not master Ken's fighting style and turning towards a much darker avenue (not unlike psycho power or satsui no hado) to expand his abilties. Perhaps even being taken in by the remnants of Shadaloo and turned towards the same fate as Violent Ken, whom was intended to be Bison's trusted henchman.

My top 10 fighters that I want to see come back in SF6 are:
1. Sean (But imcorporate some moves from Ken and Laura)
2. Kolin (Would love to see her comeback with some new ice moves)
3. Adon (Always been a personal favorite of mine in terms of Muay Thai)
4. Sodom (A weapon base fighter would be cool to see and having him return as well)
5. Sakura (She's a staple to SF so it would make sense to have her return)
6. Menat (She's a tricky fighter that uses a crystal ball and is Rose's protege)
7. Hakan (An interesting grappler that uses oil would be neat)
8. Elena (I love capoeria and her mix of dance fighting would be perfect in SF6)
9. Haggar (The only Final Fight character that hasn't make SF debut and would be great rival for Zangief)
10. Rufus (This one is a personal pick for me for I like his gameplay in 4 and is obnoxiously funny)
Awesome list! Nice to see characters that aren't the ones everyone always asks for. I'm particularly happy you mentioned Adon, Makoto, Sodom, Hakan, and Sean. Impeccable taste. The first 3 are my #2, #1, and #5 favorites.

You're clearly a fan with how you know Adon isn't evil but just cocky, how Sodom's a weaboo, and Makoto's entire story with her love for her family and wanting to spread her family's martial art around the world and how determined she is to do it.
I really enjoyed this video and it's so nice seeing people appreciate characters I love and think are massively overlooked just because they aren't from the most iconic roster of the franchise. I enjoy these character for the same reason as you and it gives me hope that with more likeminded people wanting the characters to return that they will eventually.

Thank you! I love the lore of fighting games, even if it's not an important part of the gameplay, so I've always liked paying attention to the arcade modes. I make sure to talk about backstory in a light of my fighting game videos.
Necro is a cool character. He's someone I never really played, but he's so rarely referenced, I want to see him back to see how his playstyle would evolve to a modern game. I could also see Effie become a playable character in the same vein.

Adon't A1 ending where he rejects Bison's offer isn't canon but it shows how the guy isn't evil and is just way too confident in his skills and I really like that.
Necro's super fun in 3S. Yeah he's sadly not that popular but him and Effie were surprisingly added in the background for a halloween stage in 5.
Aw man, I'd love to see Effie become playable but not at the expense of Necro of course. If the twins can come back and occupy 2 roster slots, why can't Necro and Effie, know what I mean?
She knows how to fight so they really should add her as well
I love Rainbow Mika!!! I wish for her and Makoto come back in SF6!
Abel is another great character who deserves to return. He had a lot of potential as a character and it's a shame he only made a cameo in SF5, which I consider an insult!
I also wish to see Hakan again. It's weird, but he's a fun character to watch.

I’d love for Zeku to return. He was one of the most unique SF characters I’ve ever had the joy of playing. He and Guy would fit perfectly with the old vs new generation they’ve been setting up for SF6.

i always felt Yun would have been an insane character for SFV with the guard damage and gray life.
Used to have a PSP and Alpha Max 3 was the first SF game I've ever play, I mostly play as Ingrid. Her character design was so pretty and adorable, but what I love more about her was her satisfying sound effect and the sparkly effect, and especially, all the parry where she toss her opponents up
I would like to see some SF3 characters like Remy, Twelve, and Necro given a decent treatment, SF EX characters like Doctrine Dark, Area, Cracker Jack, Vulcano Rosso, and Darun Mister would be awesome if given a good 2D adaptation. I would also like to see El Fuente from SF4 given a good chance.
I am all for seeing the mighty Mr. Haggar coming out of retirement to be a mentor in the most ass-kicking way possible... just like when he ran for mayor! Also, I hope Skullomania will one day return. I don't care what anyone says, he was fun to play with if nothing else. Also also, thanks for another great list & I look forward to the next one! 😎👍

Sakura needs to return, it was mentioned she was still fighting in SFIII while still wearing her classic outfit and people calling her too old for that, she replies it's her battle uniform. The SFIII Pachinko shows Sakura helping Ryu destroy a car.

Makoto is really the only character on this list that I like. Capcom's proven to know what type of characters we dont like with this new game. Hakan and Abel are just as bad as rufus and el fuerte, honestly. No one goes out in the world thinking to themselves, "I wanna be the cringiest person alive," yet Capcom thought characters like that could be funny or likable... No one was laughing... except Ono.
to me its sakura and sean. i dont get why capcom havent made it official their rivalry. they would work incredibly well as the "next gen" ryu and ken, since they are their unoficial disciples. and because they each have their own gameplay, it would work incredibly well to have them and ryu and ken without them feeling like all the same character.

I think there’s an opportunity to expand on a alot of SF3 characters. Make them more important to lore, rework those that are in some way suppose to be SF2 like characters and give them their own identity.

YES! Necro has to come back, for me he was one of the most fun characters in SF3, a lot of personality, a lot of throwbacks (basically Dhalsim, Blanka and Zangief's moveset mixed with new ones), and his story was also very compelling, even though it was mostly tied with Gill and Urien, but now we could see he and his girlfriend on the run looking to start a new live
I feel like I might be in the minority but I would like Remy to come back maybe with a altered moveset.
We are indeed in the minority, Remy doesn't really need an altered/new moveset, just better frame data with his normals and he'd be good to go.
Except this one case where Blue Nocturne should be a special move instead of a super (it deals lower damage of course, otherwise; it's too strong), his other SAs are already good as well.
Also, you didn't mention them, but it would be sweet to see Hugo, Dudley, Q, Gouken, Gen, the Gorilla from Ed's SFV ending, and some more Rival School guys like Daigo, Hayato, or Kyoko (my fav.)

I think they should make a new Final Fight game and have a older Maki assist Mayor Cody in the fight against whatever enemies they face.
Ingrid... If they brought her back, they should rewrite her whole story,g et rid of the "fanfiction-esque" aspects. cut the Psycho-power ties. Heck, maybe give her ties to Gill instead, that could works better.
Your idea of C. Viper daughter being involved make me want to see her developed a rivalry with Li Fen. I guess I just like having older characters grow wiser and mentor the youngers.

Why are Chritisian ads appearing on yours videos and Software agents all of the suddent? No offense to those who believe, but I am an athiest especially after whats going on lately. my family has been abused by Christians,.
UA-cam gives content creators zero control over the ads that play on their videos. All we can do is allow ads on our videos, but Google's algorithm picks ads based on the viewers' watch history. Different viewers can get different ads on the same videos. If it was up to me, I'd only have ads for games, movies, and anime on my videos since this is definitely not a religious channel and I have no interest in making videos on that topic. I have no involvement with Software Agents outside of a few collabs, but since you're seeing the same ads on different channels, it's likely Google's ad algorithm.
