  • For our final 12th Make of Christmas we are bringing back one of our most popular tutorials, the Quilt-As-You-Go Placemats with a FREE pattern and tons of tips to speed up your sewing!
I have so many of these that I have created using my favorite 2 1/2-inch strip rolls. I just love how each one turns out a little different, but they all are clearly part of one set showing off the fabrics from your favorite line.
And the best part, because this is Quilt-As-You-Go, when you are done sewing, you are also done quilting and you just have to bind your placemat! That means you can definitely get a set done to gift this Christmas, or to set your table with.
We are shipping orders within one business day, and our holiday shipping deadline isn't until Dec. 19, 2019, so there is plenty of time to order and whip up this final make of Christmas.

Fuzzy tip: To cut down on the large amount of fuzz being scattered about my sewing room, I roll a lint roller several times over my jelly rolls before and after I unwind them. 😌

Love the colors, although not a fan of the print theme, you made it lovely. How perfect that it's double sided and the pattern! Love my walking foot, so glad I didn't let the look of it intimidate me. What a good quilting tool it is Wonderful tutorial!

Do you ever do a 'victory lap' a scant 1/8 inch, all the way around, prior to binding to ensure that all 3 layers are caught together in the binding seam allowance? Nice tutorial...interesting fabric...

I typically do that on quilt tops to keep them from stretching during the quilting process. Then I quilt within that seam when I am working on the longarm as well to keep it square. So yes, but it as a final step, more as I go. And thanks!

Yes, De La Luna, it is probably hard to find at this point, it came out last year.
