Dang, and I just bought my SS3 Pro fog lights a few months ago. Lol, still very happy with the performance.
Beautiful comparison what I've been looking for
You guys are killing it with these comparisons. I wanted to specifically see this comparison and the 2stroke 3.0 in an h11 housing and you delivered.
Will be ordering soon.
I know it’s too late but the DDM tuning saber Pro X V2 55 Watt are insane . I have the 4300k version in a OEM h11 projector in my Camry and they are super wide. No glare what so ever. Bulb fact rates them much higher than 2Strokes.
Man I love your channel!! Up to date on the latest lighting tech. Man all I want is a comparison !!! 2006 Ram 3rd gen Alpharex lux vs a retro fitted morimoto d2s on hids for beam patter and output. Both around around 600 the morimoto less but also you stay stock as far as oem. Rather than the 5th gen look from aplharex
I was definitely wondering about this beam height comparison. I've got a car with low fogs, so I was going to get the sport over the pro. But now the max has such a tight beam. Would you say the max is the same as the sport in terms of beam pattern/height/width, or more or less?
The MAX looks more appropriate otherwise you would get the Sport versions that are similar to MAX'S beam. I think the Pros are just a bit too tall for use in traffic, you could point them down more but hmm..
Can you compare these with the baja designs squadron pro and sae?
Also, great videos and customer service 👍🏼

Holy cow thats alota good info. Thank you
i have the Baja Squadron SAE, theyre not very good, hence why im here
@@slick1ton849 yea that fella "Crash" is crazy about lighting and electrical gadgets!
Thanks for these comparative videos, they really are great!!!
The Diode Dynamics SS3's are available in Sport, Pro and Max output levels; but they are also available with different beam patterns : "Fog" and "Driving" (and perhaps also "Spot", "Flood", and "Combo" (Spot/Flood) as well). For the non-fog options, these can be thought of as auxiliary driving lights mounted in a foglight positions.
Have you perhaps done any comparative videos looking at the different SS3 beam patterns ? Apologies if I've missed them.
(Yeah, I know ... there are a LOT of SS3 options!)
PS: I see DD did something of their own at ua-cam.com/video/xrFc7aHfOxc/v-deo.html
Sorry do not have comparisons of the different lenses. But Diode has a great video on the options - ua-cam.com/video/xrFc7aHfOxc/v-deo.html
The Max version almost looks like it should be flipped the other way. Cutoff would be sharper and more foreground light. Is it just me?😂
Candela is everything. The Max has 18,000 candela which means it cuts through fog/snow/rain/dust etc much better than the Pros
I am on the fence about getting the max for my fog lights. It has nothing at all to do with the cost. I’m more worried the thick beam might not cut as well through the fog. I really have no clue, I’m just assuming haha.
What car? Stock lights? Max or sport is what I recommend to people. Or the Elite Series.
@@LightwerkzGlobal my v8 4 runner with custom winch bumper. 4.25in fog light holes. My other concern is blinding others on the road. I am assuming there’s a cutoff for the fogs.
You wont be blinding anyone with the Max. There is less bleed over on the road compared to the Pro. Check out the selection on our site! lightwerkz.net/collections/diode-dynamics-ss3@@Jakg8484
Someone is selling me SS3 max. Is there any markings on the pod stating if it’s the sport, pro or the max? How can I tell I’m actually getting the max version?
Its labeled on the small white sticker by the input on the back side of the pod.
@@LightwerkzGlobal thank you
Real question is, are the Max worth the $200 cad difference over the Pro?
nah
yes they are - they have a tighter beam.
I have the pro fog lights and the pros have to be aimed low to stay under the cutoff.
the max fog lights can be aimed higher and still be under the cutoff.
nice looking.. what I think? way too much money for any fog light.
The pro looks way better. Just saved myself that much money
Glad you found what works best for your needs! It comes down to how tall of a band of light you prefer. With the Pro you have more foreground lighting.
How is the pro better than the max? I have the pros and love them. Thinking about upgrading to the max though!!
