    Thank-you for great review of these lights. I choose the Sport versions and s o far I'm quite satisfied with their power.

    Excellent demo about the differences. Wow! That light output is incredible.

    Dude I really appreciate this content. I pulled the trigger and ended up getting the sport version due to the cost Factor. Since I was also buying a light bar to accompany my pods My overall cost was main factor. After watching this I kind of wish I would have opted out of the light bar and just tossed all my money into exactly what you got. Obviously that's a little too late. I would love a few more night time shots as well as some different camera angles with those lights on and maybe another long-term review. Thanks again for the content

      I hear you! When people ask me about the lights I say skip the lower light bar and spend the money on badass pillars. The light and location is 100 times more useful on the pillars.

      @@WaterFowler41 I agree. I wish it was in the books to add some better pillar pods better than what I've got, but we'll see once it all comes together. I have all this going on my Bronco I have pre ordered.

    Awesome pods,
    These driving beam seems to be very good, Diode dynamics got the best optics currently.
    The thing I would like to see Diode dynamics drive the leds to the max power and get some more spread with the combo lens.
    That would really bet the Baja designs XL80’s

      This video doesn't do these lights justice. The DD SS3 Max puts the BD XL80s to shame. Absolutely no comparison. Check out the incredibly detailed post on Tacoma World about these SS3 Max in the SAE fog light version www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-led-sae-j583-fog-pod-fog-light-review.554813/

      I Know I'm suuuuper late to the party, but if you haven't learned already, we actually do have a combo lens with 2 LEDs with a flood optic, and 2 with a driving optic on one lens. This is a great video showcasing the power of the MAX pods we sell. Personally I run Pro yellow fogs, and Pro white floods on my aftermarket bumper, along with an amber 18" driving lens stage series lightbar that absolutely slice through fog, dust, snow, and rain

    38W per pod and 7920lm per pair.
    So, 100 lm/W is adequate efficency for modern intencity LEDs within maximum output level.

    Which light pattern did you go with? It looks like a spot light to me. I don't find any videos with the fog and combo version of these. Great Video BTW.

      Driving pattern is what I have. Thanks!

  • @numbone2945
    @numbone2945 3 роки тому +3

    You are comparing a driving light pattern to a spot pattern. If you used the spot pattern version of the Diode Dynamics SS3 max the difference would be even more pronounced!

    • @WaterFowler41

      I’m sure of that! Even the driving light from diode does an awesome job!

  • @adidas4275

    I didn’t realize they came out with a “Max” that is brighter than the pro
    Only bummer is with the amp use you can’t just wire them directly to the trigger
    Did you use another high Amp relay and the tigger just turns on the relay?

    • @WaterFowler41
      @WaterFowler41 3 роки тому +2

      Nope, my SS3's are controlled directly by the Trigger. The trigger has 2-30amp circuits and 2- 10 amps circuits. The ss3's pull 6 amps total so any of the trigger's circuits will work.

      You’ll be paying the same at baja designs and rigid for lights in this high output category (5,000 lumen+ pods).

      Don earl a baja lp4 which has the same output as these lights is 400 per single unit so these are a bargain....you want nice stuff you gotta pay theres a reason why 50 dollar amazon stuff is 50 dollars... .the 8 year warranty alone is worth the 500.
