I had no idea with two of them. I knew about the staring one, being close and talking ones. But that smirk, I always thought it was a way of saying “ugh I feel sorry for you”.. and pretending to be busy on the phone, I thought that was a sign they are trying to avoid you. I mean, maybe. Because when I do the close lip smile it’s just a way to be polite, and the phone thing I do to avoid interaction. Ugh!

I'm a guy, and i dont know about the other mens but, this was pretty accurate to me.
This is how every normal guy is. Women are far too used to the 1% of players who actively hit on them. Women can't grasp the fact that most guys are shy and won't approach a woman if she doesn't give a real sign like "looking in his eyes, and smiling back". Instead they look back with a stoic emotionless face, which will scare away most guys. Then they wonder why only players and false-nice-guys dare approach them.

Men really do like feeling useful, so they often respond really well to being given the chance to give advice or help with something.
If the guy is more stuck in his head, asking for advice or input on something is a good start, since when people are more in their own head, they tend to be in a more analytical mode, so you're meeting them where their head is at, and then bring out them out with a little friend energy, a playful joke, or compliment.
From my experience, if I'm stuck in my own head, but a woman comes with just a little fun friendly, maybe even a bit flirty energy, it's like wind in my sails, and I'm out of my head before I even have time to think about it. (keep in mind, slightly less socially energized guys might not come out of their heads quite as fast, I'm decently extrovert)
Not to compare woman to puppies, but to given an example of how excitement and energy are contagious, Imagine you've been sitting there studying very hard, or really focusing on a work project, then a puppy (or a kitten if you prefer) comes running in and jumps up on you; it's hard not to let that excitement and energy pep you up and bring your focus into a more interactive mode.
I know a lot of women who don't want to feel like they're chasing the guy, but things like this aren't chasing him, they're encouraging him to pursue you.

Yesterday I was just checking out the makeup counter at my local department store when I made a step backwards in order to make room for the women next to me. Not paying attention I bumped into some guy who was passing by and we both said pardon simultaniously which made us both smile. He headed towards the exit glancing back at me for a split second. However I noticed that he came back and walked past me another time. Afterwards he walked again past me but this time heading to the checkout only to come to the makeup counter himself and talking with his friend somewhat pretentiously about makeup😂❤️ I thought nothing of it since it was Carnival and he may have been seriously checking out the makeup but after watching this video it all seems a bit suspicious now. Even though men go out of their way to approach you and make you feel as if they are interested please be aware this means NOTHING to them. They can change their mind about you the day after and they will not communicate this change. so don't get your hopes up or read too much into flirting. Just think you had a nice evening/couple of hours and that's it. This is where I have gone wrong over the years. Perhaps if you do the opposite to me you will have more success than me!

Well...this was timely. A guy I like has done quite a few of these, and I always told myself that there was no way he'd be into me because I just assumed I wasn't his "type." I'll see him again in the next few weeks, so maybe it's time I actually gave a little more, as Matthew put it. :)

Okay, since so many of you wanted an update, here goes:
I will first say that he has my contact information now. We had a funny exchange involving me sharing some alcoholic Polish candy with him (he is Polish-American). He was very excited about the candy! I also gave him my business card with an invite on the back to have a drink sometime (couldn't be tonight because he was flying out). He jokingly asked if I was trying to turn him into an alcoholic, and I playfully shot back, "Let's be real, you probably already are one." Still joking, he nodded and said, "Yeah, you're right, I am." We had to part ways, but the entire exchange was just really fun and flowed so easily. We apparently have the same sarcastic and dry humor, so it worked.
So to everyone: don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and go for it! I am so happy that I did, because it led to a really fun, genuine, and flirty exchange!

One of my biggest fear is flirting with a guy not knowing he's in a relationship. Is there any other ways to figure that out besides flat out asking him if he's in one?
Soleil Magica true, but sometimes, some men will jump into another relationship with a woman who flirted with him even though he's already married or in a relationship. Flirting could be fun and nothing serious, but if I'd there's a serious attraction and it leads to something more and the person who's already in a relationship isn't honest, then things can get really messy.
Ask. DIRECT. Questions. They will LIE if you don't!
Just suppose he isn't in a relationship, you have nothing to lose. If he is in a relationship and plan to stay in that relationship, he will eventually drop that information in a natural way as I always do whenever I get to talk to some girl. I don't do it right off the bat, I just let the conversation flow naturally and drop whenever I feel it won't sound like "I'm taken, step away". Or he can be in a relationship and also try to advance things with you regardless, but if this happens, don't worry, once you get to know him a little more, you will have plenty of info that will allow you to do some research around him aka Google his name, search Facebook, Instagram, etc.
I love this video but the take home message is even better- always make opportunities for yourself by dropping "crumbs". you're not taking any big risk by complimenting someone's shoes and opening the floor to conversation...
Omg! You just made my evening, lol. He literally does all of these, and combines them together. He especially likes to combine walking past and saying 'hi'. Does it all the time when I retreat a little; to reconnect. But has been doing the others more lately, too. Lol. Love it. And, yes, I encourage him.

You should do a video on how to attract/talk to a guy at school or in a place of work. You did that one video on flirting that was in an office but that wasn't totally work specific. It'd probably be useful.

My mums, best friend came to my house and her son came as well. I was watching TV and in the corner of my eye i can see that he was just staring at me, i looked at him and and he looked away, he looked back and we made eye contact for around 5 seconds then we both looked in a different direction. i can still see him looking at me so i looked back at him again and smiled a little and he smiled back. Where ever i went he was following me, it was kinda creepy but it was cute. I haven't seen him since that day..
