Hi. I became a subscriber to your channel when Tamara recommended you. I have been losing my hair for years. I started with a very thick head of hair. Strand by strand all day long. My internist ran labs, sent me to endocrinologists, rheumatologists, dermatologists - and each specialist ran labs. I bought the first hand held Hair Max comb, but did not use it since it is time consuming. In the past 3 weeks the number of hair that falls in a day is beyond counting. I lost so much hair, not only is the scalp visible, but combing it is uncomfortable (I'm not used to combing scalp) and washing it is upsetting because I feel scalp. I have been under unrelenting stress for years, which no amount of breathing, meditation, or praying can alleviate. A scalp biopsy indicated androgenic alopecia - which the derm dismissed as normal. After speaking with my doctor's nurse Monday, he gave me scripts for 4 LABS -- CBS/FERRITIN/IRON/IRON BINDING GROUP. I don't know if these tests are covered by insurance.
Hi Tina, thank you for joining the B50S tribe. Tamara is such a love. She’s the most wonderful mentor. I am so fortunate. I’m sorry you are going through such a trial with getting some answers from your physicians. I too would have had a hard time being adherent with the comb. I encourage you not to give up on your search for answers. Keep our tribe updated on your progress. We are all here for you anytime you want to share. 💜💜💜💜
Hi Tamara, you are so are very welcome💜. Let me know if the iRestore & Rogaine end up helping at all. It’s such a commitment! But, better than seeing my scalp lol. I am enjoying the Haielle shampoo too & looking forward to trying the volumizing leave in conditioner. I’ve not tried the mask yet. I was worried about it weighing down my hair too much. I need to take the quiz and see what they recommend.
Agree! Haielle shampoo leaves my hair beautifully soft & manageable. The only product I’m not fond of is the leave-in conditioner. It’s a bit heavy & the scent leans a bit too musky/woodsy. I prefer a citrus scent. I also should have taken the hair quiz as I’m sure they would have recommended the volumizing leave in spray. But the serum is divine as is the hair/skin oil.
Hi Cindy. I began to notice thinning hair when I was menopausal but the problem reached a plateau and hasn't got worse since. I think I notice the difference mainly when I wash my hair! It always felt really heavy and thick when I was younger and now...it doesn't. Very useful information, thanks.
Thanks for sharing Sarah. I think you’re experience of a gradual thinning as we grow “wiser” is fairly universal. Glad things have plateaued for you 😊💜
Got my pen 🖊 !! BTW goooorgeouss color on you. I’m kinda hairless genetically (SE Asian descent) which was great for savings on hair removal lol, not so amazing 50+. Thank you Cindy. PS. So true, hormones have played big role for me.
Hey Olina, thanks for the lovely compliment. My mom always said I was bald until I turned 3 so she kept me dressed in pink 🎀 🤣😂. I do have my father’s thin, fine …and now thinning hair. Oh well, we do what we can. Sending you bright and happy wishes for a wonderful rest of your week💜💐💖
Really interesting video, Cindy! My doctor had me tested when she saw I was losing hair around my forehead and found I was zinc deficient. She also recommended biotin so I take that as well as my zinc supplement. Hoping my HRT is going to help too!
Hi Dez. You’re so smart to see your doctor. Did the biotin help? I’d considered it but haven’t started yet. I do take other supplements my Dr recommended but not specifically for hair. Looking forward to hearing how your HRT journey progresses💜
@@beyond50skin the biotin did help for a while (or it could have been the zinc as I started them at the same time). But it's been thinning again recently so hoping the hrt will remedy the situation!
Hi Karin, I stated HRT about two years after menopause (52). But not until two years ago (54) was I finally able to get on a proper protocol. I highly suggest you seek out a medical professional who specializes in this area. I wish I had sooner. Best wishes to you.
Thanks for this video, Cindy! Once again another issue I'm dealing with. I have a laser cap that I've used and seen good results with. I haven't tried minoxidil yet. And I'm also interested in the ppp treatment. Anything you want to do on hair loss would be welcome!
Hi Molly. Thanks for sharing your results with LLLT. If you end up doing PRP or PRF I’d love to hear about your results. As I mentioned I’m considering a treatment this Fall. My hair shed is particularly heavy this spring/summer. I’m hoping this treatment will help fill things in, along with the my other treatments. I will keep the hair videos coming. Glad to know your enjoy them. Happy Sunday💜
Thank you so much for this video. I have recently started losing hair. I have the IRestore on order and I have started using the new product from The Ordinary for hair loss. I don't want to get tied to Minoxidil. I think my problem has been stress. Once again thanks for all your information.
Thank you for joining in the conversation and watching. It’s so important that women are now talking about hair loss. Thanks again for sharing your story. Please feel free to keep in touch after you’ve tried TO solution & the iRestore. I’d love to know your thoughts💜
@@bellathereader1328 So glad to hear the iRestore is working out 🙌. Rogaine definitely doesn’t work for everyone. Thanks for sharing your experiences. So helpful to hear everyone’s journey 💜
@@beyond50skin Vegamour is a serum that I also tried and like because of the consistency and it has a lot of positive reviews. But it is expensive to use for the long term. My journey is to have the healthiest lifestyle possible, and whatever a person does for hair loss, adequate protein and overall a nutritious diet is paramount
@@bellathereader1328 Such a good reminder about adequate protein. I do my very best nutrition wise as well. I’ve hear of, but never tried Vegamor serum. Thanks again for sharing🙌💜
