I got it on sale around the holidays and started playing a bit after Christmas and have been hooked since. 160+ hrs in. I know I'm late to the game, but it's good to see others late as well.
Bought this game a couple weeks ago and 70 hours in lol and just defeated the 2nd boss, this game is awesome and best game to play going into the winter 💯

Great list, only thing I’d change is I’d have BB at 1, one of the most buffable weapons in the game, crazy WA, and what puts it over the edge is the healing….it heals you..:the crazy strong OP weapon HEALS YOU lol

For me godskin stitcher is one of my favourite weapons in this game, just love heavy thrusting swords and being able to put flame strike or glint stone pebble feels great on it for pvp
I've been enjoying the gargoyles blackblade recently. Don't think it's op or anything just works well when I use it.
Godslayer great sword would be a good honorable mention. It's weapon skill is really satisfying.
The naginata is a terrifyingly effective weapon. I find myself constantly coming back to it. It really is old reliable and very beautiful to use as well.
Ordovis' greatsword also has a special place in my heart for being the only normal looking golden greatsword. Not to mention a simple but effective weapon skill that always slaps.
Wing of astel is such a dope caster weapon. I had so much fun throwing a bunch of blue spells at my enemies just to finish them off with blue magic slices when they got close.
So many fun weapons in this game half my time spent playing is just deciding what weapon to use next.
Yep bro hahaha the naginata is the literal reason I made that rule to only allow one seppuku weapon 😂 but I agree with the honorable mention too thanks for watching bro
I haven't used many of the weapons in the game but if i had a top 5 from personal experience it would look something like this:
#5: Eleonora's Poleblade
#4: Bloodhound's Fang
#3: Gut's Chadsword (Greatsword)
#2: Hand of Malenia
#1: Blasphemous Blade

My top five in not a real order is probably RoB, Uchi, Moonviel, Blasphemous, and either meteoric ore or Falchion

I recently started runs with the Reduvia. That one is silly broken in PvE, as you can get it literally in the first few minutes. Then you ride to Iji, buy the four somber smithing stones, that will give you hell of an early game advantage.
but it's hard to stagger enemies when you're only using tiny blade, it might be good on some enemy

Marias Executioners Greatsword deserves a mention imo. It helped me after being stuck on Radagon, and has carried me through NG+ absolutely free
I've just started my second playthrough and I think I 'm going to use dual wield bandit's curved sword where one of them has poison build up and the other blood build up!!! Nice video man!!!👍🏻👍🏻

Nice list. Tho I do think the blasphemous blade has to be the best. The damage and healing from the ash of war is crazy. It helped me beat malenia on my first try on my first playthrough
Best fire Greatsword is what I meant I don’t think there are many other good options even if you add a good ash of war to another one but anyways thanks for watching bro much love

I'm having a very hard time believing this statement. Even with rivers of blood which is virtually malenia's kryptonite it's not possible to win her in your first try in your first playthrough
@Gamercade1205 I used mimic tear which makes everything pretty easy. Without it I definitely would've died alot

I love the Sword of Night and Flame. Cheesed many bosses with that fire swing attack. Also love Gihza's wheel for its circlesaw blood attack.

Out of all of these, which would work best against Malenia? She’s the only demigod I have left to kill before I take on Radagon, finishing my second playthrough. For my last couple attempts, I’ve been using the godskin peeler and every black flame incantation I have but it’s still not enough. Any recommendations would help, thank you.

My number 1 weapons is the falling star beast jaw. Did 5 play through sand it’s always my go to. Very fast and strong weapon art. Good poise and easily opens enemies up to criticals

This is a pretty good list. Also I'd recommend talking closer to a normal volume, you're practically yelling and its clipping your mic. The Blasphemous Blade reminds me of the comic book version of All-Black the Necrosword. I still haven't beaten the game yet since I kept not knowing what I want to be for a build, and my first playthrough I'm trying to find and explore as much as I can instead of just running through and only doing what I need.

Fallingstar Beast Jaw was not only one of my most satisfying boss fights after it kicked my ass so many times, but made it all the more satisfying to beat the last 50 hours or so the game with it as my main weapon being a trophy of that fight. The gravity lightning art was brutal to distribute
The most underrated weapon in the game. Period. I don’t think I could have beaten Godfrey without it⚡️
coming back for my 6th playthrough after not playing for months... what happened to the intelligence katana? (i forgot the name)

I used an arcane build to rush the platinum trophy and yeah mimic tear + Mohg’s sacred spear stunlock one shots almost everything in the game. The only exception are bleed immune, fire resistant bosses (Mohg’s illusion). With the faith for rot breath the game turns into a great enemy felled simulator
At what level did you start new game plus? I didn’t touch the game since my first playthrough and I ended up at 180. I also want to rush the platinum, only trophies missing are the endings and like one item.
A+. Having bought the game in 2022 but only started playing Dec 2023 - these vids are super appreciated. A++

With a Strength/Faith build the Blasphemous Blade is OP AF!
Bolt of Gransax sniper mode is like nothing else in the game...
Speaking of Strength/Faith, the Godslayer Greatsword is fantastic, the ash of war and it's follow up is devastation if you can land all of them.
fr BoG is very VERY fun to use
Godslayer's GS is more dex/faith than strength/fait. Its strength scaling is pretty bad, especially for a colossal sword. But yeah it's an amazing weapon, and I had a lot of fun playing as a Godskin, using only their gear and spells, as well as, well, the sword. Pretty strong build, actually.
So many fun weapons to use in this game but some of my favorites would have to be Godslayer GS, dual magma blades, magma wyrm scalesword, death ritual spear and godskin peeler

I think my most favourite weapons I’ve used are the scavengers curved swords, sacred spear and honestly the good ol fanshioned guts great sword. Power stance of course

The Magma Blade is slept on prob b/c it's so hard to get, but it's such a good weapon, especially if you're insane like me and farm 2 for the power stance.

1: I just wanted to ask what build you think is probably best for me to try out and have a look at? In my first playthrough I have really just been dual-wielding two greatswords the whole time. Right now I am dual-wielding the blasphemous sword and the moon sword you get from the moon lady, I think Reinna?
2: I am currently up at the fire giant right now, and if you have any tips for him, that would be great!

Curved sword or dual godskin peeler? And should I use both blood or freeze blood?
I use the curved swords since the power stance jumping attack hits 4 times so it procs bleed every single time, they’re both very good options tho but personally I prefer the curved swords
You can use two bleed weapons since you’ll proc bleed on a single jump attack that you can also boost with the black raptors feathers and the claw talisman or you can use on bleed one frost but definitely have the one in your right hand have seppuku

I imagine you already found some good weapons after getting to Altus? If not you can get eleonaras pole blade, the blasphemous blade (have to go to a kind of far out area and beat a huge boss so idk)

Came back to this game after awhile and what happened to the bloodhounds fang, I came back and beat the final boss/bosses with it in 2023 after giving up on the final boss a while ago because was tired of the game after beating meliana.
No god skin peeler? Better than curved swords imo
That’s why I made the rule at the start of the video I could easily put that at number 2 but I think for a seppuku build the curved sword is a better choice, remember the rule I made cause the god skin peeler on its own is good but it shines when you add bleed which is why I tried to make the list fair but not adding bleed to every weapon, hope that clears the confusions I agree tho it is a very good weapon

Colossal swords: Maliketh Black Blade, Godslayers, Royal, Ruins, GUGS/ Greatsword
Rapiers/Thrusting swords: Antspur
Heavy thrusting swords: Bloody Helice, Dragon King Cragblade
Curved swords: Scavenger’s, Bandit’s, Wing of Astel, Magma Blade, Serpent God’s

how do you get 117 blood loss, when i add sepuku it reaches 50
I keep going back and forth between Blasphemous Blade and Blood Fang. The Blood Fang just does so much damage with blood flame or holy buff, I go to it. But the special L2 move on Blasphemous just annihilates. Good video. I’m about half way through game..

Oh lord yes. I quit using seppuku cause it was just too much with the jumping L1 in powerstance where you can hit 6-8 times in one attack.
Nice video. I’ve tried most of these but 250 hours in I still can’t beat the game. Hard stuck on Melania and a beast champion after a mini boss on a horse. Can’t even beat the mini boss before it. I just run past and get instant killed by his ground blades when I try to summon.
