I am doing this project and I made a bunch of mistakes. If you do this put the open part at the top on the bucket and don’t do the bottom. Do use the plant wire. Only need 1 lair of the tape. The first coat is runny. Do use a paint brush. The next coats are thicker. Do use a putty knife. That’s all I got so far.
WOW, JUST WOW!! These are so unique and different from any other die pots I have watched here on UA-cam. The little foam balls were genius and using the rope to create a lip, was brilliant! They look almost like ancient vessels found in the waters of Greece or in a Mayan temple. You have a good eye for proportions too. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity with us and I can't wait to see more from you. More cement projects, please!
You have just deservedly earned me as a subscriber. Amazing content. ❤ I’ve been redoing my entire house and was searching endlessly for large pots that I liked for my faux trees outside. These are phenomenal. Thank you!! 🙏
Did you know that you could actually NOT put cement in the bottom & use them for planting. The cement won't hurt plants. It's only lime. The larger pot would be a perfect tree container! There's a woman on YT that shows how she takes out the bottom of extra large terracotta pots for trees. It's lovely and your pots would work perfectly for it, too!
huh. first time i see a youtuber sponsored by i brand i actually like. i have a 1986 troy-bilt lawn tractor (also my snow blower, also my rottotiler for a garden large enough to feed us in winter). the thing is bullet proof with regular maintenance and parts are available to repair it. my brother with a john deere is always fixing it
Great vids! I subscribed..:) I would just use mister setting on garden hose spray nozzle instead of all that pumping and messing with a water bottle. The mister setting is intended for seedlings so you don't break them when they are tiny so it should be not problem of to much water! Cant wait to try some of these out....
The decoration options on them are endless. You could also do patterns on them and maybe some floral decorations with play-do. This is such a great video.
My, oh my! I have a massive thrifted vessel that’s just been sitting. I am definitely going to revamp it with these ideas. You are amazing. I was here when you only had 100 subscribers. You deserve everyone you have subscribed and much more.
DUDE! They look AWESOME!! How I wish my husband was into DIYing. He tells me I have no time to do it myself ( I’m the mother of a Special Needs teen) and to just buy what I need but it’s so EXCITING TO SEE the creativity some DIYers come up with!! Keep creating and sharing!!! I’ll do one some day!!
Ayer en la manana por primera vez vi su pagina, ahora no puedo parar de ver tus videos, eran la 2am y todavia pega. Eres muy talentoso, sobre todo tu trabajo en cemento. Eres mi nuevo 😍
The pots turned out so cool. I really liked using the mesh tape for reinforcing the interior. The foam balls were a nice decorative touch. Only downside is the overall shape of the pots. If actually used as planters, it would be near impossible to repot once a plant outgrows the pot, without either tearing up the rootball, or breaking the pot.
Yeah I was thinking the same thing. My thoughts to fix that are. Treat is like a japanese storehouse (aka Kura) windows. Make two half balls with a two or three step ledge on the two meeting edges. This will seal well it most likely won't leak water. the real problem is if it is a tree or large bushy plant and trying to get it out of the small top opening. They do this with japanese store house windows and doors. Learned this from japanology tv show episode Kura.
I have seen similar videos to this before but never in the detail that would be so easy to follow that produces such excellent results. Thank you so much for your time.
WOW!THIS IS SO SO SO NICELY DONE! I AM GOING TO TRY THIS BECAUSE YOU MADE A TRUE BELIEVEE OUT OF ME. It doesn't look like some cheap diy...it looks so perfect
I love love love your cement creations and watch the videos repeatedly BUT when I started my own, I forgot the most important part, THE TABLE to work on!😂
I was in Tulum Mexico & was so inspired by their pottery & plan to make my own so your video came up in my diy search! Thank you for this video! Will be doing this ❤
Woo-hoo!! I’ve been thinking about adding large “ancient” pots to each corner of my kitchen counter for Hanukkah, but after seeing the price tags (PLUS SHIPPING), I knew that there was NO WAY I’d pay that much money for items that I’d only use once per year!! Thank you for the inspiration!! ❤️
I am totally doing this! They look great and so much cheaper to make your own! Big pots that aren't plastic are so expensive. You can always paint and or resin some too. You can do whatever your heart desires. Thank you for the great video.
I have some old ( i dont even know if they make them anymore) lightweight pots made of some foam material. They are quite large and have been abused by trimmers and such over the years. I tried spray painting them and that helped the color but not the scratches. I think I am going to try your method on these old foam pots. Probably painting gray first so that if it cracks off you still see something that looks like concrete underneath.
This is the best video I've seen on making pots! I have a plant nursery in Waimanalo Hawaii called Sharon's Plants and have been looking through videos on pots for making container plantings. These look better than the pots I brought in from Vietnam. I am going to try to make some this weekend! I am very impressed that you visualized adding the rope and spheres which added so much. I immediately subscribed to your channel and am going to watch every video you posted!
Morning, This project turned out amazing. It is not over-done, the ornamental adds are just right, the texture looks amazing, and they can be used indoors or out. Well done. Take care.
Love, love, LOVE! these pots! 👏👏👏Definitely gonna try this. (Will first have to make my husband watch your video, 'cause I'll need his help) You're good, Jorge!
I watched another UA-cam channel that took strips of cement board, mesh tape and dipped it into the cement and just kept putting each strip on evenly and overlapping eventually and it gave something for the cement to adhere to
Como siempre hermoso todo lo que tus manos crean. Bendiciones del creador en tu personita, Exitos amigo, siguenos inspirando Jorge y contagiandonos de tu amor al arte.

They look fantastic! Definitely keep making these videos! You are one of my top 5 UA-cam channels. Your content, videography, design style, wit…👌🏻
Same. Who are the other of yours?
I agree ☝️
I agree! His design style is fantastic!
The best DIY I 've ever seen!!! Thanks for the video. Love it!!!!

These look beautiful. One final upgrade would be to create proper drainage so they’d be better for live plants .
Jorge those are amazing! You always elevate a project to a whole other level. You are truly an artist. Thanks for the amazing content.

Gotta be one of the very best ever DIY pots here on UA-cam. Super expensive looking
There is no heaven without love of nature👌👏👏👏👒

Cant wait to try some of these out....
I have watched a lot of "how to" videos for cement pots - yours are the best I've seen. Clear, concise and quirky instructions. Thanks for posting.
Coming from a picky person: I love these! The details and the shape are so harmonious, elegant and rich without being fussy.
With a spotless white shirt…fully impressed. I loved the look you achieved.
The decoration options on them are endless. You could also do patterns on them and maybe some floral decorations with play-do. This is such a great video.
*Awesome* . Jorge, you are the cement DIY King!
Whoa! How cool is this..... can't wait to DIY!
I'm taking a break from gardening and OMG this video gave me life!!!
I love that you had the plug of the yoga ball at the bottom. I would so do that. You gave me the courage to try this when it gets warm.
Jorge I am addicted to your channel. Your creativity is remarkable! Your simply amazing.
My, oh my! I have a massive thrifted vessel that’s just been sitting. I am definitely going to revamp it with these ideas. You are amazing. I was here when you only had 100 subscribers. You deserve everyone you have subscribed and much more.
Incredible...this UA-cam channel is a DIY treasure 😍
Love the dedication of this guy for following his dream and passion
These pots are beautiful! And yes please, more pots diys!! 🥰
I love how those look! Would definitely recommend leaving a small hole at the bottom for drainage if you were going to use them to plant in
I came here to say this also the gorilla glue will lift if it’s being watered regularly. These are wonderful but more ornamental.
Your finishing techniques-neatness, etc- really set you apart from the competition. It was a pleasure to watch.
I love the result of your diy project, it has tasteful effect. Love it

omgggg those look amazing!!!! make sure to do a top coat so the paint doesn't wash out when it rains.
love them! I may attempt!!!
I keep watching your video over and over, and every time I like it better. 👏👏👏👏
Ayer en la manana por primera vez vi su pagina, ahora no puedo parar de ver tus videos, eran la 2am y todavia pega. Eres muy talentoso, sobre todo tu trabajo en cemento. Eres mi nuevo 😍

This is one of the best diys I've seen. This is one I will actually do because those pots are so expensive to buy.

With a plant inside it looks definitely much better!

Planning a Star Wars patio. Going to use this technique to make huge Deathstar planters!
