    Expect the unexpected, that was my Camino experience. Ran into 60-70% of rain along the journey last year, and two lightning thunderstorms along the way. Walking in lightning thunderstorms could be scary especially in the middle of nowhere and alone. Hope you have a wonderful and safe journey on the Camino.
    Buen Camino!

    Fabulous - above the clouds! Accommodations so far look pretty good - I'm trying to imagine doing this with my two 11 year olds... (they can top and tail in a bed if need be!) Love the unusual perspectives like - in the grass for yoga - keep doing you x

      @@KatKatGo333 rare to get such a view above the clouds and hard to reach but so worth it. Have you booked? Be sure to book the first night at Borda or Orrison before you go. It breaks up the journey up and across the Pyrenees. Good luck and so cool you are thinking of walking with your young ones. It will be such a grand adventure.

      @@Walkwith_M No haven't booked yet - have a lot of ducks to line up, getting house ready to get appraisals done then guage when to put on market. Have been holding off as it has been so luke warm in terms of houses selling, but I am in a "tree change" area and have an Arch designed eco house so hoping enough difference to sell more than the average house. Then - relocation plans will be in place and a good wander on the Camino will happen then too! That's a lot of ducks and I'm just clenching my teeth with "patience" haha. Have a friend going in April, she's just doing a week. I really like the idea of Orrison given the feedback. If ALL my ducks align, we'll leave from Le Puy, making it tight given the 90 day limit in the Shengen (sp?) zone. I've been soooo inspired following Huang Hua's journey with his 11 year old son. How are you going with the emotional side of it all being "over"? Planning your next one methinks??? :)

    • @Walkwith_M
      @Walkwith_M  9 днів тому

      @ wow that’s a lot of ducks to line up. Big ones too. I wish you luck and take your time - such a huge thing, to sell a home. Plenty of time and you feel better when you can walk without worry. The Schengen rule has thrown the spanner in the works for several people I know.
      Coming back and out of the Camino bubble was tough and I immediately planned my next one. And it’s going to be the
      Camino Portuguese in May.
      Good luck with everything. Such big items too.

    • @Walkwith_M
      @Walkwith_M  20 днів тому

      @@harrykey2448 hi Harry , it’s because the route begins in France, in a town at the foot of the Pyrenees called St Jean pied de port.
      The Camino Portuguese is called that because it begins in Portugal, in Porto.

    The length of the Camino hiking does not kill, but the speed kills, so remember to take breaks when your body requires it! Remember to take rest days from walking too.
