Enjoying your videos..I have walked Camino Francee twice and the track to zubiri I have found to be extremely hard..the rocky track is unbearable. Good news, after Zubiri, the tracks are more fore giving. I am from Sunshine Coast, Australia.
@@jacquesfayolle6430 a lot of people never return to do the Zubiri descent. I am glad I did not skip it as some did as I wanted to do every step on the Frances ….survived to tell that the Zubiri path down lives up to its infamy. Things got better after Leon. Meseta was beautiful. I love Galicia though.
Thank you. One of the most honest accounts of the dreaded descent into Zubiri I've seen! I've been there. And, if the Fates align, I'll be there again in a couple of weeks. So, yeah ... this coffee's on me! You've earned it!
I was on this stage of the Camino late March of this year and there was a massive cold front that swept the region. At Roncesvalles it snowed on us and during the descent down to Zubiri, we hot hit with rain all day. Freezing cold rain. Needless to say, it did a number on our feet. Many of us suffered with blisters and toe infections. Would I do it again? You bet I would. It's all part of the experience. Buen Camino... Animo!
I’m currently training wearing Altra Olympus 6 shoes, and the guy that sold me the shoes in Brisbane told me to wear Merino toe socks and then another set of Marino socks over the top of those essentially double socking… I’ve done about 200 km in training and have not had one issue with my feet… Might be something to try?
@@Walkwith_M I’ve been walking in 30+ degrees over here training. It’s been lately and due to them being Merino wool, I haven’t found it to be too hot. Enjoy your adventure. Look forward to the next video. 😊

Yikes! That was some interview! My grandmother was Norwegian but she never spoke of this. I admire a provider but not the “crazy eyes” joy of killing. BTW Sydney trumps Melbourne🙂 just saying. Why are you so tired? You’re scaring me! You trained so well, what is it about the Camino that laughs at preparation? Note to self: catch bus from Roncesvalles to Zubiri.

Isaac was awesome! So funny.

You go girl! You got this! I learned something new for the Camino. Buy coffee for pilgrims. How nice! I'm enjoying your videos.

Enjoying watching the journey, and said the poems aloud with you x
It's so awesome to watch you hike the same place I have today. I'm in Pamplona right now.
Hope we meet up on the Camino ☕🥾

Double socking might work though I am not keen on hot feet. Will have a think. I thought toe socks would help

Are you finding that you’re using your poles or not using it as much as you thought you would so far?
My poles get me through. A must for the Camino in my opinion. A must,
I watched your prep and lots of long walks so what type of fitness level do middle-aged women have to be?
