    An actual Pilates. Most of the prenatal Pilates video in youtube...are not near what pilates needs to be. But this here....yes guuuuurl.

    Robin,
    I think overall, you are doing a great job posting these exercise mini-workouts...I think this is a nice resource for people for many healthy women. I would maybe be a bit cautious on stating that the workout is effective for all 3 trimesters because this is really variable. Doing long lever leg exercises is usually something I don't recommend for my Pilates students who are in the 3rd trimester (and for some, in the 2nd trimester)...I'm talking about the double leg open chain exercise at 9:48...especially if someone may have a diastasis recti or for someone who perhaps is very big and has heavy legs (and poor flexibility). I do love that you are doing the "supine" exercises on your forearms as this is a safe position for all 3 trimesters and good for building some scapular stability. Keep it up and feel free to connect with me.

    • @wearelindywell
      @wearelindywell  3 роки тому

      Hi there! You can certainly do another exercise in its place, such as a front plank on your knees or another exercise of choice. As you continue with Pilates, know that you will continue to build strength and make progress. Keep up the great work!

    Hello. I enjoyed this workout today. However, I’m 35 weeks pregnant, and it hurt under my bump when I was on my elbows and my legs in table top. Is there another modification I could do or should I just skip that part? Thank you.

    • @wearelindywell
      @wearelindywell  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Stephanie, it's great to hear you enjoyed this workout - way to go! It's difficult to say exactly without seeing you, but if it is causing you pain, you might want to skip that portion (or substitute with another exercise that does feel good for you). 🙂

  • @apriljmcmillan
    @apriljmcmillan 5 років тому

    I really like the leg work from table top, but I’m finding that my neck strains and I don’t know if I’m holding myself wrong somehow. Also, is this safe for diastasis recti? I’m pretty certain I have that and when I look down at it, it’s shaping into a little pyramid over my belly button- is that ok or bad??

    • @wearelindywell
      @wearelindywell  5 років тому

      You can fold a small towel and place it under your neck for support. Just make sure to remove it if you lift your hips off of the mat. :) And if you're feeling like there is too much strain on your ab muscles then I would modify to keep your feet flat on the floor or resting on a chair/couch. That should help!

  • @Briana46
    @Briana46 4 роки тому +1

    Everything in this activated my diastasis recti. Didn't feel safe for late third trimester

    Is doing full plank safe during pregnancy?

    • @wearelindywell
      @wearelindywell  4 роки тому

      I always encourage checking with your medical provider to see at what point you need to modify for your body and pregnancy. After that point, you can do a hover plank. Congratulations! :)
