    We have a 2018 model and the knock out plate is intact. Thanks for the video tour. It's nice to find issues with trailers and ways to resolve them.

    Nice video, we have friends that I believe have the same trailer. They seem to be really well made.

    WOW! I've been fighting the same dang problem on my 2021 Lance 2375. Found the same plate laying on the floor under the fridge. Additionally, the high limit often opens and causes the breaker on the furnace to flip and the led on the control board to flash once per 3 seconds. I'll repair as you did here and report back. Thanks so much for your vid!!

      Thanks so much for watching and sharing. That's great you found the problem, it makes a big difference in airflow and properly heating. You might need to replace the high limit? I hope you can let me know how your repairs go. I'm happy you found me. www.youtube.com/@thetraveltrailerguy/videos

      @@thetraveltrailerguy It's funny that I'd found the knockout plate just before I found your video. I originally thought that it was part of the cold air return, then upon seeing the plate realized what you confirmed for me. I was able to run the furnace for a while last night after putting everything back together. Sadly, it overtemped again, though after several cycles. I have replaced the high limit switch. Not sure where I'll go from here. The symptom is the circuit breaker above the control board trips and I get a single flashing light on the control board.. More to come today or tomorrow. I may look at replacing the circuit breaker.

      @@thetraveltrailerguy thanks again for the vids. I’ve been following My RV Works Channel for a while. I’ll check the others. Got another step closer today by replacing the reset switch above the control board. It would flip whenever the high limit would open. Now, when the high limit pops, the fan stays running, high limit will close and the furnace starts back up

    Thanks for this video (and all of your vids)! I have enjoyed your projects in the past and now will pay even closer attention since we also have a Lance (ours is a 2020 model 2285)

    Great video. How do you like your new Lance? I always heard they build a quality product. What are some of the things Lance does better than Forest River?
    Maybe you could do a walk through video pointing out the differences.

    • @thetraveltrailerguy
      @thetraveltrailerguy  Рік тому +1

      Thank you for your questions and idea of doing a walk through or our Lance. I'm really impressed with the quality of the Lance build and materials used. The difference in the two trailers is the attention to detail and quality of the materials used to build the Lance, you see it in the cabinetry, fixtures used, layout, comfort in the dinette and swivel rocker chairs, quality of the roof material used and the roof feels really solid, more windows and larger sized windows that allow more light, I have noticed the trailer stays warmer in cold weather and the heater does not have to run as much, they have quality shades that you can pull down over the door windows, the fresh water, gray water, and black water tanks have nice fiberglass covers over them with tubing come from the furnace to the tanks to keep them from freezing. Their is so much more to say so I'm going to use your recommendation and point out the advantages of owning a Lance. I really don't want to bash the Rockwood because it made us happy traveling in it and gave us lots of adventures that would have never happened camping in a tent (traveled 27,000 miles in the Rockwood over a 7 year period)

    What are you going to do if you need to access that area again in the future?

    • @thetraveltrailerguy
      @thetraveltrailerguy  Рік тому +1

      Hello Tony, great questions and thanks for asking it. So I should never have to access this area I covered up in the future since our trailer uses the wall vent tubes. The hole I covered up is made to supply air to floor vents only. It looks like this plate was either removed by the builder by accident or it fell off somehow.
      If I do need access this area it will be because I have big problems with the furnace and would have to remove the furnace itself to troubleshoot it to repair the problem and then if I did need to remove and replace the plate it would be easy to do.
