I imagine the hysterical scaremongering of the last week (supermajority!!, high taxes!!, unaccountability!!, no right-wing!!, Putin's preferred option!!) played a role in convincing some undecided Tory voters to come out and vote. But yes. It makes me exacerbated to think what might have happened if Reform weren't there. I'm sorry. I'm sorry that my town listened to her. The residents of Fareham have let you down.... You, the Great British people, voted for the Tories over the last fourteen years, and they kept their hateful promises. They believe they're entitled to your vote, regardless of what they did, or didn't do. And they need to learn their lesson." But they, and most of all SHE, their leader in waiting, won't learn anything, because the residents of my "True Blue" town, and another 120 like it, saw fit to continue to vote for them. 😢

Nah, earlier. If Britain will, at some point in time, be able to have an honest look at its past, it will find that so much of it was built entirely on the exploitation of its colonies. Once these colonies were gone, the system underneath needed reform - reform that never came. It's like when your fuel gauge is on reserve and you keep on driving. It'll work for a while, then your car will stutter and then you'll come to a stop. Thatcher got the car going for a bit by using a jerry can - selling off public property - but there wasn't much gas in that can. Money laundering and playing the stock market got some additional gas in the tank - but (a) the financial bubble busted in 2008, showing that some of the gas in the can was actually water and (b) even this extra gas isn't enough to keep it going for a longer ride. Nevermind all the little taps into the tank by giving a bit of gas to this friend of yours, some more gas for useless PPE, etc. We're at the point where the car runs on fumes.

Sad and sickening to hear Tory Cabinet Ministers apologising for the last 14 years and letting down the British people.

What I am expecting is the Tories will fall to infighting even further, once Sunak steps down they will rip each other apart like a pack of starving dogs all wanting the big seat, so forget 131 seats, I’m expecting them fracture even further and either abandon the party or form smaller factions within the ruins.

They've been doing that since 2016. Boris was/is a clown but he's getting off to lightly for his contribution to this humiliation

I expect that Reform is going to quadruple its MPs from Tory defections alone.

Yeah, it typically takes 5-10 years of in fighting before the party that lost power gets back on track, then another election or 2 to get on message and organised.
