Have you ever noticed that people who blame socialism for everything always describe capitalism when they think they're describing socialism?
See also when they rant and rave about communism, completely unaware that what they're *actually* describing is fascism.
I love that someone with a platform is talking to these people. Most people can't explain what socialism is but in most situations they can just insinuate its bad and all the other people that don't know what it is agree with them and ignorance snowballs in all their lives
Edit: Upon relistening I heard James say "socialism is everybody earns the same" so unfortunately he doesn't know what socialism is either but that doesn't take away the enjoyment of seeing low hanging fruit like brexiteers and the MAGA tribe getting humiliated
These willfully ignorant know it alls have no idea that communism & socialism & capitalism r economic systems while they fear & rant about authoritarian rule. The reason this is important is because authoritarian rule can happen within capitalism just as well as the other 2. The reason they r defined as willfully ignorant, ignorance is a lack of information, these people deny the information, the facts, any time they r provided.
Most people are just confused messes. They are constantly fed all sorts of contradictionairy bile and are trained to be comfertable with hypocricy and concider it normal.
A lot of people who moan about socialism are on some kind of welfare... Or are completely anti-tax but also very pro-police and army as if they think they don't cost anything.
The genius of this guy is that he is so calm, and so sharp and always gives everyone a decent chance to answer fair questions. He skewers them with logic

Same. I'm registered as a Republican and have been voting primarily for Democrats. (Right now abortion access is one of my biggest concerns.) I'm staying registered as a Republican so I can vote in their presidential primary. I think that's the party that most needs my vote in the primaries. I'll probably be out-voted by the people I am surrounded by.
I don't understand how *anyone*, especially conservatives and Christians, can vote for Trump. Even if you didn't think he was so bad before, his attempt to block the peaceful transition of power should make him loathed by all.

These U.K. conservatives calling into this radio show don't even know that the U.K. is far more socialist than the United States. We would have to completely change many things in this country to even come close. Two things that we definitely need here are national healthcare and assistance to pay for childcare. I wonder if the callers would give up their health coverage in favor of paying extremely high monthly insurance payments and then pay an additional co-pay fee at every doctor's appointment and even worse if you need hospital care.

Or in the case of issues like universal healthcare, that it is tied to the social democracy political ideology movement, NOT socialism or communism.

First, he claims that one manufacturer, Harley Davidson, is moving production out of America because of the tariff battle Trump has announced, then almost straight away he claims that multiple manufacturers are moving out because of it whilst providing no other examples to justify this claim.

Wasn't aware he had to list them all.... The fact of the matter is that under Trump, foreign outsourcing skyrocketed while the number of US manufacturing jobs fell whereas under Obama, US manufacturers cut back on outsourcing and manufacturing jobs rose substantially.
