    I am afflicted with PTSD from multiple tours to Iraq and Heilung's music, for some reason, just puts me at complete ease. I have a hill on my property that I just go and sit or lay in the grass with their music playing in my ears and my eyes closed. I feel as if I am lifted and transported to another realm. When I awake, I feel like an entirely different person. Relaxed, and at peace. However, short lived it might be, it's long enough. Thank you Heilung for your masterful work. I hope one day I am fortunate enough to see you perform in person.

      Although I cannot know what PTSD is like, I know exactly what you mean about the effect Heilung's music has on you.
      I saw them live in York. Never experienced anything like it, a ceremony.
      I hope you get to see them.

      PTSD Iraq Vet here, same boat. Their music brings a surreal peace upon me.. their upbeat songs inspire courage and strength.. takes me back to the origins of what we are as humans. Strip away all of the nonsense we have been programmed with and replace it with raw emotion, spirit, power - lifting your spirit up and taking strength. My only problem is it's like I am transported to my roots and I feel it, I want it, I experience it with my senses... then I awake in this fresh hell that is the rat race where money determines your freedom and justice is corrupted into some bloody and broken construct - like Nietzsche said... God is dead and we killed him - he meant we killed our Gods (our moral constructs) and we were headed for doom through nihilism and the void death of the universe. It used to be greedy lords and kings and thanes would only impact a small area of the planet - now they corrupt us all. I can't escape this hell.

    "“Norupo” is based on the poem known as ‘the Norwegian rune poem’. The poem was preserved in a 17th-century copy of a now lost 13th-century manuscript. The Norwegian rune poem gives a complete description of all sixteen runes of the younger Futhark, also commonly known as the ‘Viking runes’. These runes are also the foundation for the artwork of ‘Futha’.”

    I am 75 years old. 60 years ago, as a teenager, I taught myself runes out of our family encyclopedia. Learned of the Norse gods on my own, always reveled in nature and Earth connection. Came to love the mythic operas of Richard Wagner, and later on discovered the musical re-creations of Sequentia. Now I am seeing this stuff everywhere, and it's like coming home. Like I've been looking for this all along. I don't know the nature of my connection to it, but it runs deep.

Way down in history back my ancestors made shore in your land but on the eastern coast up north. My Viking ancestor people called your people the Scraelings. (Scandinavian language for Natives of the Land.) In any event, I find it awesome that both our people have so much in common together than otherwise. This makes me happy. It gives me peace. It's the way it should be. Bless you and the Iroquois of the first nations in Canada. Bless all the natives of the land. In the video, the people hold antlers of reindeer. Whenether its as a part of asatru, or other spiritual movements - Scandinavian reconstructive shamanism borrows heavily from indigenous tribes of the north where gaps needs to be filled. Something that is probably in line with the cultural exchange that evidently was between the north germanic tribes and the Sami people. Also, late germanic iron age spirituality was not only influenced by the roman empire - but also, and heavily, by the Huns. And if you go deeper down, the cultural exhange and trade of the bronze age influenced the spirituality of the bronze age scandinavians. the tree of Scandinavian spirituality stood firm in the north, but it was always rooted in the world.

A red cardinal, a breeze during thoughts of , or grieving for them. My son died in his residential group home from sleep apnea , whom I pleaded with to address his needs. Poor kid suffered from auditory hallucinations and spectrum disorders.
      I miss his home visits , his daily calls and we were trying to get him closer to me where I could pick him up during the day, keep him occupied and productive.

    (ᚠ Fé): Wealth is a source of discord among kinsmen;
    the wolf lives in the forest.
    (ᚢ Úr): Dross comes from bad iron;
    the reindeer often races over the frozen snow.
    (ᚦ Þurs/Thurs): Giant causes anguish to women;
    misfortune makes few men cheerful.
    (ᚬ Ás/Óss): Estuary is the way of most journeys;
    but a scabbard is of swords.
    (ᚱ Ræið/Reidh): Riding is said to be the worst thing for horses;
    Reginn forged the finest sword.
    (ᚴ Kaun): Ulcer is fatal to children;
    death makes a corpse pale.
    (ᚼ Hagall): Hail is the coldest of grain;
    Christ* created the world of old.

    Loki was fortunate in his deceit.
    (ᛘ Maðr/Madhr): Man is an augmentation of the dust;
    great is the claw of the hawk.
    (ᛚ Lögr): A waterfall is a River which falls from a mountain-side;
    but ornaments are of gold.
    (ᛦ Ýr): Yew is the greenest of trees in winter;
    it is wont to crackle when it burns.
    * Kristr (Christ): Edred Thorsson suggests that originally the name would be Hropt / Óðinn, who was later changed to Christ because of the church, he also points out the similarity of the names. In addition to Old Fuþark, the Hagall rune symbolizes the number 9 and represents Óðinn in the Yggdrasil tree and the 9 worlds, when it came to symbolize the number 7 in Young Fuþark, the rune (probably) then came to symbolize Christ as creator of the world and according to the bible the world was created in seven days.
    The song in question is actually an old Norwegian poem that makes
    reference to Young Futhark (rune system used in the Viking era).
    Curiosity: In the video, the dance is actually a constitution of the
    body positions that represent the runes (runic yoga).
    *Norupo (tradução em português)*
    (ᚠ Fé): A riqueza é a fonte da discórdia entre parentes;
    o lobo vive na floresta.

    (ᚦ Þurs /Thurs): O gigante causa angústia para mulheres;
    o infortúnio faz poucos homens felizes.
    (ᚬ As/Óss): O estuário é o caminho da maioria das jornadas;
    mas a bainha é da espada.
    (ᚱ Reið/Reidh): Montar é dito ser a pior coisa para os cavalos;

    Kristr* criou o velho mundo.
    (ᚾ Nauðr/Naudhr): O constrangimento dá pouca escolha;
    um homem nu é esfriado pelo gelo.
    Uunia, Runo, Sigurd
    Fähig ani, Regina, Gunda
    (ᛁ Ís): Gelo é como chamamos a ponte larga;
    o homem cego deve ser conduzido
    (ᛅ Ár): A plenitude é boa para os homens;
    eu digo que Froði foi generoso.
    (ᛋ Sól): O sol é a luz do mundo;
    eu reverencio o decreto divino.
    (ᛏ Týr): Tyr é o deus maneta;
    frequentemente tem o ferreiro que golpear.
    Uunia, Runo, Sigurd
    Fähig ani, Regina, Gunda 2x
    (ᛒ Bjarkan): A bétula tem as folhas mais verdes do que qualquer arbusto;
    Loki foi afortunado em sua decepção.
    (ᛘ Maðr/Madhr): O homem é um aumento da terra;
    grande é a garra do falcão.
    (ᛚ Lögr): A cachoeira é o rio que cai de um lado da montanha;
    mas ornamentos são de ouro.
    (ᛦ Ýr): O teixo é a mais verde das árvores no inverno;
    e costuma crepitar ao queimar.
    *Kristr (Cristo): Edred Thorsson sugere que originalmente o nome seria Hropt/Óðinn, que depois foi mudado para cristo por causa da igreja, ele também aponta a semelhança dos nomes. Além disso no Velho Fuþark, a runa Hagall simboliza o número 9 e representa Óðinn na árvore Yggdrasil e os 9 mundos, quando passou a simbolizar o número 7 no Jovem Fuþark, a runa (provavelmente) passou então a simbolizar cristo como criador do mundo e segundo a bíblia o mundo foi criado em sete dias.
    A música em questão é na verdade um antigo poema norueguês que faz
    referência ao Young Futhark (sistema de runas utilizado na era Viking).
    Curiosidade: No vídeo, a dança é na verdade a constituição das posições
    corporais que representam as runas (yoga rúnica).

      Shamanic tradition across disconnected cultures in Northern Hemisphere are remarkably similar. Shamans of Crow, Huron, Chippewa 1st Nations are similar to shamans in Siberia, and runestone cultures of Europe.
      This may be as result of natural selection, making shamanism as real 'true' religion derived from human traits and laws of nature. Or shamanism is an inheritor of now lost worldwide culture. Or both.
      Pre-Columbian Northeast American tribes and Lakota nations have many similarities to pre-Christian Pictish and Celtic tribes of Ireland, Scotland, Britain, and Northern Europe. With few exceptions. Specifically the horse, wheel, bovine cattle, and metal. There were no horses in Americas since Americas were colonised by humans around 15,000 B.C. Horse was reintroduced to Americas by Europeans in 16th Century A.D. Actually there were no large beasts of burden among Pre-Columbian Americans. No horse meant no need for cart and wheel.
      Nor bronze and iron metallurgy was in use in Americas. There is some evidence for low level , low quantity, bronze making in meso-Americas. Aside from gold and silver use by Meso-America in Central and South Americas, by Olmec , Inca, Maya, and Aztec cultures , no bronze or iron was used. But those cultures had absolute mastery over lithic technology. Stone and minerals. Obsidian ultrasharp blades, for industry and weapons. Ethnopharmacology was very high. Higher then it is today. Shamans were doctors of their time, and they knew which plants and animal extracts could be used for healing, and for prevention. They also knew which plants and fungi, and animals had sacred properties. On darker side they knew which plants were poisonous, which animals were toxic.

What I would like to believe in is reincarnation, but what I know to be true is that each and every action we take, every word we've spoken to another, will resonate throughout time, as it affects those around us, and they in turn have an effect on others as the infinite moves ever forward. I think I finally understand the type of healing Heilung really is. It's not just a greater connection to nature. Heilung is the experience we all feel when listening. Some relate it to their ancestors or phenomenon, but even in their description, they quote,
    "Remember, that we all are brothers
    All people, beasts, trees and stone and wind
    We all descend from the one great being
    That was always there
    Before people lived and named it
    Before the first seed sprouted".
    Even those without direct European heritage listen to this music and feel the same. Are we not all feeling the same healing? Are we not all from the same seed? Heilung is a call back to nature, ancestry, and spiritual bond with all others across the world, and there is nothing more beautiful.

Humanity likes to think it's untouchable and that we could never lose all the technological advances we have made. Wrong. Today we actually have more forests than before in some areas since you know... people plant them and keep them alive by cutting them thus keeping them healthy and able to stay live.... i hate when people probably living in heavy urban shit holes talk like they understand what they are talking about. So the translation for the final rune page is:
    heilung : christopher . jul : kai . uwe . faust : maria . franz:
    location : les . menhirs . de . monteneuf : stylist : anicke .
    shiren : catering : rachel . dauce : uirginie . ropars : dauid
    thiere: filmcrew : roderic . patijn : marten . sloues : rya
    n . schamine : dirc . zijlstra : our . depest . thanks . go . out
    to . our . helpers . and . guardians . on . this . and . the . othe
    r . side : (weird runes) . ristir
    The last word "Ristir" may mean "carved" since the word Rista in icelandic means "to cut/carve" and the past tense of that is "Risti". However as we know the icelandic language likes to use a lot of R's in its words so it wouldn't surprise me if the R at the end was present back in the elder days, however it simplified down to Risti now.
    This is what i got so far, I am still trying to figure out what runes are the ones on the last line, so bare with me :D
    Edit: okay so I cannot find much about most of the (weird runes) however according to Daria Morgendorfer in the comments section, and the sources I've looked into the first 3 repeating symbols are good luck charms, which are probably meant to give the viewers good luck.
    As for the translation itself the text is written in a mix of Elder and Younger futhark. Individual words are separated by a Dot "•", where sentences are separated using a Colon ":" . Most of it is written in Elder futhark however some letters used to write in english simply don't exist in the elder futhark so they had to be replaced with a different letter or by using a rune from younger futhark. For example the last word on the second line spells: A N I C K E where the letter C is represented with Elder and the letter K is represented with Younger. This is most likely due to the fact that C and K are both the same rune in the Elder futhark so it would be difficult to tell which one it is without using the Younger futhark representative. A second example of this improvising can be seen whenever the letter V should be present. Again vikings did not have a letter V in their alphabet so instead a rune U is used since it looks close enough to a V. This can be seen in the last word of the 3rd sentence where the runes spell D A U I D. In reality they should spell D A V I D however V does not exist so it is replaced with a U. Lastly the letter Y does not exist in Elder futhark so it was replaced with an upside down algiz meaning "Y" in the Younger futhark. This is seen in the last work of the 4th line where the runes spell R Y A - R and A being represented with Elder and Y being represented with Younger. Hopefully this wasn't too confusing :D Let me know if you find out the meaning for the symbols on the last line!
    Edit: According to an article i've read the "ristir" is a special knife used to carve runes.
    Source: books.google.co.uk/books?id=TL-tDwAAQBAJ&pg=PA90&dq=ristir&hl=pl&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjYxvXK4vLoAhXknFwKHbRhAgUQ6AEIKDAA#v=onepage&q=ristir&f=false

      Because as a human being you crave spirituality the most! In this godforsaken world that has little to no spirituality left people are hungering for it and if they are given any at all they will pounce on it. This is all happening because the religion that defined European culture and spirituality for the past 2 thousand years has grown weak and any religion that grows weak cannot provide the spirituality it's worshippers require, hence it will fail and die out eventually. It was the case with paganism in ancient times too, but that religion didn't extinguish naturally, but by the sword, so it's embers were left to reignite once the power opressing it was lifted, which is happening today for better or worse... Christianity however is dying because of disinterest, so even it's embers will die out eventually without hope of reignition, whether that is good or bad, it will be for the ones coming after to decide...

      @@araza13 huh? the viking "invasion" (more like good old rape and pillaging) occurred during the early medieval period, so like 8th century to 11th, before that say in the time before the anglo-saxons migrated you had druidic people in britain and tuistic people past the roman borders in mainland europe, druidic were celts and tuistic were germanics, distinct cultures although artwork was very similar, the celts were far better artisans and had more of a distinct artform, the anglo-saxons moved to britain and adopted Christianity, by this time the artform wasn't really used the the saxons anymore so to say it was imported hundreds of years later isn't very accurate at all.

      David Ballard - incorrect friend. The Celts predated the Vikings by 1,000 years. Check out the “ Celtic Holocaust” on UA-cam. Additionally, molecular genealogy also confirms this.

You can see it in her eyes in a few vids from euzen and those K9's she's got are natural and not fake. I'm not the only one who sees it in her because I've shown other people her vids and not said anything. First thing outta their mouth is .. she looks like a Wolf. I think she's fkin beautiful. Personally ... I believe that Germania was the pinnacle of our temple before we cascaded down to abrahamistic stupidity. It's far more intelligent to believe that we are all 1 from the same ancient being, than it is in a human figurehead only a couple thousand years old

      The Scands are essentially Germanic. Just a small leap across a pond of water from the main European landmass.
      It’s wild to think all Germanic people’s (Scands included) have their roots in IndoEuropean peoples, and that the Germanic languages has their roots in Sanskrit.

Now, I'm "just" a part of humankind and the universe, who is just in awe of our common history and the amazing parts of other cultures and religions.... now and from old times of humankind on. ABSOLUTLY AN ABO!!!! LOVE IT OR GET LOST ;)))
