@@cmd7930 If you study the Celtic revival started by St. Patrick and carried on for 300 years by other Celtic saints you will see that the Celts were the ones who evangelized Europe. The monasteries of Ireland were training schools to send out missionaries. It is said they were like bees covering the continent. They did not use force but used truth and persuasion only. Charlemagne used force and gained only fake converts just like Constantine and later Roman emperors to empower the Roman Cult called Catholicism which is not Christian and is really an expression of the ancient Babylonic religion started by Nimrod (They have the same woman holding a baby) which was a rebellion against the true God Jah preached by Noah and Shem. Paganism is a later religion and is not the original religion. Paganism rejects the concept of an infinite God and replaces him with finite gods and by doing such was the first expression of anti-theism.

They're still early on their journey. In time they will feel the hollowness of modernity set in. As passing pleasures fail to sate the hunger of the void, eventually they will have to rediscover the essence of spirit. We'll be here when they're ready.
This is surprising to me since, back in the 90s, Celtic music was everywhere - with artists like Ashley MacIsaac, Loreena McKennitt and Enya getting regular, mainstream airplay. Times change, I suppose.

Aha. That sounds like someone might know WHY they're dancing around what seems sort of related to a Maypole. Not that I know why folk dance around Maypoles either 'tho I suspect like many things its pre-Christian in origin and possibly was 'annexeed' by the Church as part of their insatiable obsession to assimilate everyone. Still, I had no idea Faun were like some sort of wiccan(?) music group. I just like quite a lot of their music. But I did wonder why they do some seemingly curious things. To avoid any suspicion of 'sailing under a false flag', I should probably add that as a good atheist I think you're *all* mad of course, but the witchy folk are less *intrusively* mad so hey, each to their own.
For those of you saying that this some sort of Satanic ritual, walpurgis night is more the merging of an ancient pagan spring celebration (beltane) and a commemoration of a Christian saint (St. Walpurga), so if anything this is more of a religious celebration, a sort of Halloween party with a fantasy theme dress up
Religion is a means to control the people to the benefit of the few. There is a God of creation I believe but organized religion is narrow minded and bloody handed

I loved how the video shows the old tradition of the bonds of wedlock! My wife is Filipina, from the Higaonon tribe in Bukidnon, Mindanao. She has been trained as a "baylan", a tribal shaman, healer, massage provider, and midwife. When we married, a white rope was placed around the shoulders of both of us to symbolize the bonds of marriage.
As a Christian priest I see no conflict between spiritual Christian and true Pagan belief. When I perform weddings, if the couple agree and understand, I handfast them by binding their hands together with my stole and raising them in front of the assembly. Most people understand.
@@alandavies55 I agree with you. My wife and I are both baptized Catholics, but I have learned her tribal beliefs as well. She says that "Our church is the world". Everything has spirit, and should be treated with respect. The Higaonon, and other Lumad (native) tribes in Bukidnon and Misamis Oriental provinces here in Northern Mindanao, call the Creator "Magbabaya" ("the one who oversees all"). We thank Magbabaya for our food and health.

I lost someone recently. His memorial was on Walpurgisnacht this year. We are Americans, so this holiday doesn't really exist out here. I learned about this holiday because of this song only a year ago. So, May Day / Walpurgisnacht / Beltane became a very grief-filled time this year for me. However, this song and other songs by Faun and few other artists have been very therapeutic for me to listen to. I am not religious, but I started lighting devotional candles, and wearing a cartouche of Anubis. I feel like my friend isn't truly gone if I have music and tokens of his existence. Rest in peace, Austin. Whatever is out there after this life, if anything at all, I hope you're doing your best.

The Havamal says (roughly translated from memory): "Cattle die, Kinsmen die, We ourselves must also die, But I know one thing that never dies, One's good reputation." These are also the final lines of Helvegen by Wardruna, if you didn't already know.

But they're anti-German? Are you a troll or just mentally deficient? This song and video is about "communist" "witches" taking the girls into the "forest" where the lesbian Moon "goddesses/the matriarchs" will teach them to hate German men and accept "the blackness" (black dick/interracial mixing) which will lead to the disappearance of the White Germans and their evil culture. Although this could be seen as a form of genocide attempt at least according to the expanded UN definition the "communists" insist that it's not a genocide since they aren't killing anyone and German culture sucks anyway. Other times they promote the idea of Germans never having children because the planet is overpopulated / some kind of a climate catastrophe is occurring and they have to save it by not existing anymore. Germany already has the lowest or the second lowest birthrate of any country in the world (depending on source). Like I said in the beginning, you really aren't a bright one. PS: That "Slav"(ic) music playlist of yours is mostly just a bunch of communist acts. Those Red Cossacks are one of Stalin's creations. Their purpose is to subvert actual music made by the Cossacks and to stop their messages. All of the "folkloric" music is the same in all of the former USSR states; that includes Hungary of course. That girl with the swords and Percival are the big exceptions, those are fascists and Slavonic Affairs is a Polish neoNazi hub / propaganda channel. Now you know.....

I'm really surprised that something as pagan as this has (as of Dec '23) 35 million views. Maybe pagan music is becoming super popular.

This is surprising to me since, back in the 90s, Celtic music was everywhere - with artists like Ashley MacIsaac, Loreena McKennitt and Enya getting regular, mainstream airplay. Times change, I suppose.

To the evening sky arise
Magic tunes tonight
Wild folk and Lilith's kind,
Secretly ride the lurking winds.
Let us prowl towards the bonfires
Reach murmuring for the stars,
The good word and also the bad one
We will today carry away and away.
In the willows our dreams will sound
And the winds will sing our songs
Let us jump over the fire with the sparkles
In Walpurga's Night!
Hear the violins, hear the violins,
The fires have been started!
Follow the roundelay, follow the roundelay
In Walpurga's Night.
Boisterous to the playing of the violins
Our nightly roundelay is spinning
And wild and free we join
This ancient magic.
Only once in the great circle
Will we dance in this manner,
Until the first light of the morning
Breaks through the web of our dreams.
In the willows our dreams will sound
And the winds will sing our songs
Let us jump over the fire with the sparkles
In Walpurga's Night!
Hear the violins, hear the violins,
The fires have been started!

Sooo schön auch mal deutsch zu hören, aller Augenweide. Danke sehr!
I discovered this by accident a couple of months ago, and I am OBSESSED! I watch it at least once a day. Such a catchy tune and great visuals to go with it. As someone else said, I can't understand a word, but who cares!
Going to have a walpurgistnacht fire like this with all my pagan friends this year. Definitely listening to this.
How did you go? I've got my fire lit and I'm more than ready to scare off some spirits
"Walpurgis night is the eve of the Christian feast day of Saint Walpurga, an 8th century abbess in Francia"
@@imusmoedegrasse it's literally in the Wikipedia article for Walpurgisnacht. also I'm not pagan
@@imusmoedegrasse oh I'm retarded, my bad
You mean Beltane? Walpurgisnacht is Christian, sassenach
I'm so happy I came across this group... they're so magical and preserving the ways of our ancestors hehehe
I have no idea how this ended up in my suggested videos but I am very glad that it did. So hypnotic.
Pagan folk music is awesome love you guys.
This is one of those rare songs that is perfect. Not one bad note.
It always been there, our past, our history, it was buried deep within our DNA... That's why you feel that strong connection to this type of energy... ❤❤❤
This song gives me chills and goosebumps every single time.
As soon as I saw the great goddess and her beloved husband the great god come together I got emotional. A beautiful song and beautiful imagery! Truly touched my heart ❤️. Paganism is a beautiful religion that is treated so terribly because it’s so misunderstood. Blessed Be to all you 🌼🌛⭐️🌜🌸

✨Happy Yule brother ✨
Yes it has many beautiful aspects such as Human sacrifice .
@@Meowie765 and the Christians had the Spanish Inquisition, The Crusades, Salem witch trials, burning and torture of innocent people who were accused of being “heretics”, or witches and all in the name of God. Like the Christians would say “He without sin cast the first stone”.
Modern day Pagans don’t sacrifice any living creatures just like modern day Christians don’t murder anyone for “heresy”. We learn from the errors of our ancestors and don’t repeat them. We practice our religions as they should have always been practiced, peacefully.
@@Meowie765 Unlike the Christians we Pagans didn’t have such torture devices to get confessions out of people such as
The Rack.
Judas Cradle.
Brazen Bull
Heretic's Fork
Choke Pear
Rat Torture
Crucifixion
Scaphism.
And that’s just to name a few.
I love how Christians conveniently forget that they weren’t any better than we were, if not worse.
I'm indian and i don't understand a word but still I'm addicted to this ❤️❤️. All hail to Power of music 🙏

Thank you! It is very cool to listen to a song in German and it is so melodic. These songs are the celebrations of the German language and culture. Keep on and congrats from Hungary!
Keep up the good fight in Hungary! Europeans support you
But they're anti-German?
