I love this video. In the Himalayas there are two tribal holidays; Pagli (Mayhem) in the spring and Hurang (No known translation) in the autumn. For both these celebrations a play is held in which a sort of duel is performed by a shaman and a witch. The Shaman dresses as the King Stag with twelve tined horns. This made me think of that for some reason.
That's very interesting, especially the stag motive. I tried to find more on those holidays, but couldn't find anything. Do you know more, like what religion or the area or ethnic group which celebrate these holidays?
Walpurgis Night takes place in Germany every year in the night from April 30 to May 1, when all of Germany dances into May. Traditionally and especially beautiful in the Harz Mountains, when the witches fly to the Brocken to celebrate the legend.

Logan Cartwright Watch semigogues video with slavic lore and see why he doesn't like the word pagan since its used by the church to demonize polytheist tribes like norsemen etc..
The 7 Billionth Okay, some other guy doesn't like the word pagan. Who cares, I'm a celtic pagan and I take no offense to the word. By accepting the word as our own, we are disarming it from those who use it as a derogatory term. Pagan Europe, strong Europe
Actually, as literally translated, Walpurgisnacht translates as "Walpurgis Night" and is actually a Catholic Christian feast related to St. Walpurga celebrated in many parts of Europe so not really much of a pagan holiday :)
Joseph Amendolea all Christian holidays are pagan. Even the word 'christian' has been hijacked and changed. It gets its roots from the word 'Christ consciousness'. Christ consciousness exists in all of us and it's not exclusive to Jesus and Jesus only. And who is their right HEARTS would put priests in charge of their spirituality? Enlightenment cannot be brought or earned through attending church services. Spirituality doesn't come from literature based programming but through the heart.

@@icyclaws4022 ok. Btw don't get me wrong since I am new. I have been listening to blackmetal which relate in the magical being baphomet and faun in specific regarding paganism and I know it. My curiosity actually grew because since last few years I actually spend my time just watching moon and it really gives me a satisfaction and curr my anxiety. I read one time that there is ritual done in Feb end and in somewhere in June summer. But it was related to dark and evil stuffs.
@@TheGearAge Pagans genuinely don't follow a specific god, more often then not it changes from person to person. Personally, I follow the Mother Goddess and the Horned God. The rituals you read about are called Imbolc in Feb and Litha in june. They are called Sabbats, pagan holidays around the year. The rituals consist of getting rid of negetive emotions and cleansing your mind with rest. Another thing is pagans don't actually have a concept of evil, just bad and hurtful choices, but choices nonetheless.
Fun fact: Every year I jumped over the fire at Walpurgis, fewer bad things happened to me than without. But I also live partly close to the Harz Mountains, about 43 miles.

hornswoggle lover39 yeah but they are pretty distant even for Europeans
@@Nightshift10000 Not really, these people made grand migrations from where these people all originated from. We know that these people had common ancestors, plus dacians were also described as similar in appearance.

Interesting
Either that or they actually saw the deities. ;)
Happy Walpurgisnacht :)
It's the same time as the Celtic holiday Beltane, also known as May Day. I guess everyone's dancing their way into summer.
Que hermosa tradición
Same in Czechia, it's called Witches night. This year was good, several celebrations in the past were cancelled due to drought and fire warnings.

Fell in love the moment i found your beautiful music!! Im so homesick for a place ive never been. Would love to be there live for all of it!! ❤️❤️
As soon as I saw the great goddess and her beloved husband the great god come together I got emotional. A beautiful song and beautiful imagery! Truly touched my heart ❤️. Paganism is a beautiful religion that is treated so terribly because it’s so misunderstood. Blessed Be to all you 🌼🌛⭐️🌜🌸

✨Happy Yule brother ✨
Yes it has many beautiful aspects such as Human sacrifice .
@@Meowie765 and the Christians had the Spanish Inquisition, The Crusades, Salem witch trials, burning and torture of innocent people who were accused of being “heretics”, or witches and all in the name of God. Like the Christians would say “He without sin cast the first stone”.
Modern day Pagans don’t sacrifice any living creatures just like modern day Christians don’t murder anyone for “heresy”. We learn from the errors of our ancestors and don’t repeat them. We practice our religions as they should have always been practiced, peacefully.
@@Meowie765 Unlike the Christians we Pagans didn’t have such torture devices to get confessions out of people such as
The Rack.
Judas Cradle.
Brazen Bull
Heretic's Fork
Choke Pear
Rat Torture
Crucifixion
Scaphism.
And that’s just to name a few.
I love how Christians conveniently forget that they weren’t any better than we were, if not worse.

I loved this song so much I wanted to find an English version I could sing along with, but all the English translations I could find didn't fit the meter or rhyming of the original. So I made one myself. It's not an exact literal translation, but keeps pretty close to the German.
So crank up the video and sing along!
By tonight in evening skies
Witch and Wizard start to rise
Wild folk and Lilith kin
Secretly now ride the wind.
Let us wander to the fire
Reach a star is our desire
Both a good or evil spell
Take us where we cannot tell.
In the meadow we will find our dreams are ringing
In the wind we hear the whisper of our singing
As we leap the fire now the sparks are springing
On this Walpurgis Night!
Aay Oh! Hear the music! Hear the music!
Aay Oh! Fire gives the light!
Aay Oh! Keep on dancing! Keep on dancing!
On this Walpurgis Night!
Wildly the fiddles sound
As tonight we spin around
And we join in wild and free
Ancient magic has to be.
Spin around in circle great
Dancing on as though our fate
Till the morning sunlight beams
Break apart our web of dreams.
In the meadow we will find our dreams are ringing
In the wind we hear the whisper of our singing
As we leap the fire now the sparks are springing
On this Walpurgis Night!
Aay Oh! Hear the music! Hear the music!
Aay Oh! Fire gives the light!
Aay Oh! Keep on dancing! Keep on dancing!
On this Walpurgis Night!
I like your translation, especially the part of "Till the morning sunlight beams Break apart our web of dreams."!

Proud to be Pagan. 💜
lol
Yet you call yourself the word Pagan.
The 7 Billionth and what's wrong with the word pagan ??
Logan Cartwright Watch semigogues video with slavic lore and see why he doesn't like the word pagan since its used by the church to demonize polytheist tribes like norsemen etc..
The 7 Billionth Okay, some other guy doesn't like the word pagan. Who cares, I'm a celtic pagan and I take no offense to the word. By accepting the word as our own, we are disarming it from those who use it as a derogatory term. Pagan Europe, strong Europe
Happy Walpurgisnacht, Witches

I'm an hindu and I wonder can I participate in such rituals ? This feels so connected to nature.
Anyone can participate in a ritual, they just happen at certain times of the year.
@@icyclaws4022 how can I actually start? Like reading its actual scriptures or maybe book on paganism?
@@TheGearAge there isn't actually a book on paganism really, just books on what it is, but you can read up on what it's about and the beliefs. To get into an actual ritual you'll need to find a local coven or circle. There are more then you know, then you can get invited in.
@@icyclaws4022 ok. Btw don't get me wrong since I am new. I have been listening to blackmetal which relate in the magical being baphomet and faun in specific regarding paganism and I know it. Is a cliche questions but what God is that you actually follow?
