I think Samsung thought the camera was already good until they got feedback from real world tests and made it even better that's why I appreciate the updates keep em coming Samsung I'm loving my s24 ultra honestly.

I'd quite like to see a comparison of all the "Quality Optimisation" options. I've tried the "Maximum" setting with "Scene Optimiser" on for a while now and often find images look too over processed for me.
Now switched it to "Medium" which also turns the 'SO' off and find images look much more pleasing and natural.
One interesting thing I've found is that you loose the Ai text smoothing on high magnifafications but i think our eyes can do a better job of working out more difficult smaller text or text partially obscured by branches for example.
Whats the version of your camera app - mine is 14.1.00.69. doesnt seem to have the quality as yours.
The food mode have an option to add the blur if you're moving really close to the food, but if you're far away like the samples u showed, u have an option to remove the blur, and u have a slider to adjust the temperature to how u want it to be, so the food mood is a solid feature, try and understand how it works. But good video.
That "traffic enforcement cameras" text legit looks like an A.I generated image
It absolutely is AI "enhanced". I especially notice it on 10x, where sometimes 5x is less detailed even though it's the same camera digitally zoomed.

I dont agree with the "all this should have been in the phone on launch argument" for a simple reason that the amount of feedback and data that is gathered when the phone is actually released is what makes these changes possible. Modern smartphone camera processing is so good now exactly through this process.
This is silly. By the end of the s23 lifespan the camera was better than the 24s. Your new phone should ALWAYS be better than last year's model out of the box. There's no excusing that.
I both agree and disagree. On the one hand it’s great that Samsung are listening to consumer feedback and certainly more so than other brands - on the other hand there were issues with the S24 far more than there have been with other smartphones and even other Samsungs so they don’t get a pass just on the fact that they’re listening to consumers complaining haha.

In terms of the charger, the s24 ultra can only charge up to 45w right? even though the charger we used offers higher watts of charging
Nah you can use a charger that's more than the 45w one but you will damage your phone so wouldn't recommend it.

@@thedevilsTV You won't damage your phone. Your phone is only going to draw the amount of current that it needs. That's why I can use a 100watt charger but the phone will only take what it needs from that 100watts. Not sure where this myth started from in the first place to be honest.

Haloooo food mode has settings... you van take the blur away as well as make it cooler or warmer. Just check the settings🙄

But then what’s the point? It seemingly doesn’t do anything except boost saturation. Mode not needed IMO
I think that the hdr is too strong in night pictures and because of that the sky looks noisy and brighter than it should be and it s not very consistent. Some pics are great but some pics of the same scene are noisy or have a lack of sharpness. At least this is what i saw on my s24u. It can take a stunning photo but it can take a very bad one too..
I wonder if it has to do with samsungs obsession with nasty fake looking vivid colors? I know we have the options for our screen, but I don't think we do for the camera app? I'd LOVE if it actually took natural looking photos
Big update(February)just dropped ?? This update was realised 3 weeks ago, and there was even another one (march) realised already. A bit late to the party.
Food pics on mine are almost unusable because of the completly unrealistic colors, food looks radioactive 😅
In general pics i feel like there's a green hue in darker areas that i hoped would get fixed with this update but unfortunatly it's still there 🙄

I don't like the optimization. I wish there was a way to turn it off. Make it an option as a post-processing. Even on Pro shots are optimized.

Bought s24ultra after 14 years iphone. Going back to 15promax. This photo proccesing that samsung does after taking a picture is the worst.
I still think the camera is quite disappointing it just doesn’t seem that good, iPhone 15 pro max to me seems to be the superior camera, Samsung needs to upgrade there sensors, imagine Samsung with Sony sensors

Had to re-watch, in my dark room & in max resolution, your night shots on the iphone 15 pro & your s24U. And I'm afraid I still don't see the iPhone image as having less 'colour blotching'. If anything, the blotching is deeper, darker & more noticeable on the iPhone image than on the S24 U.
I dunno. Im overall not too impressed with the camera quality of my s24 ultra considering the specs.

I'm tired of this company. I've been a huge fan of Samsung for years. Their phones are still very good, but they don't take camera seriously enough.
If the softening option in the camera assistant was replaced with a setting to genuinely decrease the added sharpening, their photos would be already more interesting. Same with exposure compensation. I'd set it to -0.5 or -1 if I could. When photos are too bright, the highlights look messy, and the sharpening on top of it makes them just ugly.
That’s why I went with iPhone and got the 15 pro max, you should do the same honestly it’s worth it and a great experience
@@benjensen4450 Yeah, I've heard both (people very satisfied with it and the opposite, depending on how much they like Samsung features)... For now, I've just stopped using the stock cam, and I replaced it with a Gcam that is incredibly reliable. "It just works" lol.
I compared it with the iPhone 24mp, and I was able to see details with the gcam that neither the iPhone or Samsung stock were able to capture.
But seeing what the Samsung hardware is capable of just makes me more pissed off about their processing. Anyway, I'm glad you like the iPhone, I might consider it, especially if iOS keeps going in the right direction like it does. 🤞

I absolutely despise the fact that phone manufacturers don't care about ultra wide lenses, in my opinion the best kind of lenses. Who cares about 100x zoom in a smartphone omg. Ultra wide usually has the worst sensor. This is bullshit.
I actually agree with this a lot haha. Ultrawide is easier to get right than telephoto and most distort horribly

Fast chargers are useless eith samsung devices . Their top of the range ultra can only charge at 45W haha that's not even slow charging on my VIVO...and thats wben i charge wirelessly at 50W... Plug it in and im chafhing at 120W.
