  • On May 4 2024, a devastating fire broke out inside LA County fire station 164, resulting in the complete loss of all firefighting apparatus. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. In a significant setback for the fire department, the blaze left them without essential equipment to respond to emergencies.
    On May 30, LA County personnel and a private towing company towed away the damaged Quint 164, a critical piece of equipment, marking a somber moment for the team as they begin the recovery process.
